I'm a little on the young side to have heard these when they came out, but was lucky enough to meet a guy from Holland who had most of these records (back in 1982), and immediately fell in love with rock-steady. I liked some reggae, but this was more in line with the 70's Philly soul I grew up on. Thanks for posting these gems!

Did anybody notice that the track "I Want to Go Back" is a rocksteady cover of the Beatles' "I'll Be Back" from the album "A Hard Day's Night"? It was released four years before this album was.
Had the pleasure of seeing John Holt and Freddy McGregor reprising their show with strings in Florida.
It was my first time seeing John in Concert. A great show. Recently found his Classic 'Queen of the Ghetto'.
