That was a good description, and personally I think it’s kind of basic, and I was disappointed because I was wanting something more or I was really rather expecting something a little bit more unique
The uniqueness about this floral sweet perfume is the creaminess of it. It smells delicious, has a rose vanilla ice cream taste if that flavor existed. . this makes it dreamy and yummy. I do agree that it is perfect for a young lady. I think it is perfect for day time.

I love the smell of Delina, but I cannot wear it...Same story as with Oud Satin Mood, after two or three hours it becomes so tiring and cloying all I dream of it to wash it off .
Because of all this hype I bought samples of Delina and Safanad. I am wearing Delina on the left arm and Safanad on the right :) Delina is quite Delicious. I think it is what designer fruity florals are trying to be but they just end up super artificial. That's why I gravitate towards heavy orientals or fresh vetiver scents as they smell more natural even if synthetics were used. Both fragrances are potent and project well but I have not waited till the drydown yet. Delina is definitely a young fragrance and quite mass appealing. It's not elegant or sophisticated but quite girly. I like it I just don't know where I would wear it. Safanad is super close to one of my favourite fragrances JPG Classique Essence de Parfum. If you have one you don't need the other. This to me smells like a warmth of femininity and luxury face cream. If I was to describe smell of estrogen this would be it!
Agreed on the generic scent criticism. I sampled this one along with the Delina Exclusif and preferred the Exclusif between the two, but they were altogether too sweet, and the dry down on both (and most PdM) goes too soapy for me. I know my opinion is unpopular and my tolerance is lower than most people for fruity-floral & soapy notes because these are very hyped and loved scents. Thanks for your review!
I personally can't even begin to understand the hype around this perfume. I heard so much about it that I finally got a sample, and while it is a nice perfume the first time I used it I said, "thats it????" There is nothing wrong with this fragrance, but is not revolutionary, not special to me in any way. The opening on me is a very loud woody note, not nearly as fruity as I hear everyone describe. It almost reminds of of an Eccentric Molecules scent in the first 30 minutes over a base of something rosy, and eventually dries down to a more powdery rosy scent. I am guessing the musk is what keeps it from getting too sweet on me, my skin notoriously turns musk dusty and dry smelling. If I'm going to spend $300 on a bottle I prefer to get something more unique, more interesting or more special. I greatly prefer Safanad from the PDM line, I actually bought a bottle after sampling. I also prefer Cassili over Delina if I was going to go for a more sweet floral type fragrance. To me it is more interesting than Delina on my skin.
Yes, it was very STRONG to me and gave me a headache. It smelled like something my grandmother use to wear when I was small and I have not reach the age to where I want to smell like a grandmother. It is not a bad scent but I did not understand all the hype either 🤷♀

I ordered Delina as a blind buy after all of the hype around the fragrance. Fortunately I ordered a travel size bottle from fragrancenet, so I didn’t spend too much $ on it. I have to say I was rather disappointed with the fragrance. It’s too sweet and bitter for my taste, and it’s very strong. One or two sprays is all you need and it lasts all day. I guess I prefer softer fragrances and it might be a little too girly for me. BTW, your French accent is perfect. Great review!
Thank you very much! I'm sorry to hear that - I never recommend blind buying for that reason, although I do understand if it's hard to access locally. Delina isn't my type of girl either, but there are definitely lots of people out there who love her. Personally, I never received any compliments while wearing the scent either, although everyone online raves about how it's a compliment monster (not that it matters to me, but interesting to have a different experience). I thought I would love this but when I tested it, I didn't like the tarty smell (aka screechy). I don't recommend this as a blind buy. Definitely not for me.
Whatever other notes are going on with Delina, on the dry-down it is very much a rose-centered fragrance. If you don’t like rose, skip it. But if you do like rose, you will probably love Delina. It smells like a richer, higher-quality version of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre EDP. Performance is excellent, as is typical with PDM.
I tried a sample of delina and I am not a fan of this. It is too sweet and floral for my liking. I prefer deeper more mysterious, less sweet frangrances that are still feminine though. I feel most youtubers love sweet frangrances and it's all they talk about. I am interested in trying out your recommendations. Please do a vid on PDM. Thanks.
Thank you for this video! I have Delina. I wouldn’t say I love it, but it works well when I need a good performer on a hot day in spring. I also feel its a bit young, but I still enjoy it occationally (I am almost 50!) Wouldn’t buy it again though. Looking forward to your PDM overview ☺️👍
Just bought this for my wife earlier today. I got a free sample from Maxaroma a couple weeks ago and she LOVED IT!!! It was on sale for $220. At that price, i couldn’t pass it up. Great review. Holla.

Since I payed top dollars for it ( blind buy), is it possible to layer it with another fragrance to achieve more mature feel to it and tone down the sweetness? I have a sample set that includes Delina. Unfortunately my skin is not compatible with this fragrance. It is sour and wierd. That type of fragrance you want to wash it off right away. 🙄😳 After seeing this review i am thinking maybe it becomes too siropy on my skin...

Girl I got this fragrance the other day and im so sad! It does have sillage and doesn't last. For the price I want everyone to smell it on me when I walk in the room! I can only smell it on myself. I may need to layer it for it to project more. I purchased a $20 bottle of perfume in Dubai 100ml bottle and it last wayyyyyyyy longer than my Delina!!!!! Its my best performing fragrance in my entire collection and was only $20 SMH! Dubai has oils in its purest form
Oh man oh man... I bought this by accident (don't ask!) So I bought a decant immediately as it was too late to cancel my order, and I thought I'd return it if I didn't like the decant. So the decant arrived... and I'm not sure how I feel! Generally, I think its a great scent and I like it. I love the tart and sharpness the rhubarb brings. BUT! Sadly I feel this is ruined for me because it smells exactly like the Rose Jam shower gel from Lush!! Everytime i smell it all I can think of is this shower gel I can get for £5. I've been sucked in to keeping the full bottle because the shop I purchased it from gave me a LOT of PDM samples and a lovely leather coin wallet with it 🙃 I wish it was a bit smoother or softer... I'm wondering if layering this with a pure vanilla scent would help, as I can't smell the vanilla at all! OKAY UPDATE! So I opened up the full bottle and sprayed it on myself and it smells SO MUCH BETTER than the decant I received. The decant was much more overpowering on the rose but the bottle is a bit more balanced with all the notes.
Idk if its just me, i really wanted to like it but for me it was too sweet as well. And the frankincense is all I smell. I couldn't deal with it. It last though, you only need 1 spray. I like the safanad. On initial spray it have me mademoiselle vibes
I love it, I have both and got them when they'd just come out. Even though they have they have the same name, they smell very different. BUT, I tend to go away from things when they become popular urghh, a shame.

Agree with your taste on this one. I can't stand the bottle. It looks like cheap teenager perfume! I find it weird that PDM has a different colored bottle for each scent and that they are opaque. Anyway, I think I was set up to think this was a generic young girly perfume before I even tried it.
I have a request...have you heard of Ralph Lauren Rocks perfume? It was discontinued some years back, it was my signature scent. Top notes were passionfruit, lemon and kiwi, middle notes Palm Leaf, orange blossom, freesia and hiacynth, base notes sandalwood and amber (basically all my favorite scents). It would be so cool if you found a dupe or something similar to it. Thanks!
Yes, I remember that one! I don't think there's a direct dupe, but have you tried Nativa SPA Guaraná Senses? If you're looking for another tropical scent that's natural smelling, then Tropica by Maya Njie is quite nice 🌹Xo Sam
If you mean the classic Chloé, then no, they're not similar. People will often compare to other perfumes simply based on one similar note. In this case, it's a fresh rose they have in common, but there are thousands of perfumes that contain a fresh rose. The overall blend is completely different. Hope that helps 🌹Xo Sam

Delina was not for me. It was VERY strong. It smelled like a rich old lady's perfume. I did not get any sweetness on me. I blind bought it because it is not accessible in my area. I will be returning. I can see how people like it if you like a true ROSE scent, but it gave me a headache.
Hi there! That depends on what you like... floral? fruity? sweet? fresh? powdery? I would say Narciso Rodriguez is great for musky signature scents - you can often find their fragrances discounted online. SJP did a flanker of For Her called Lovely, which is super affordable (SJP in general has some good ones). You can get amazing natural fragrance oils at good prices - Kuumba Made for example does some nice ones. If you like oriental fragrances there are a host of Middle Eastern brands that do fragrances that last well and project, at good prices. Hope that helps, but again, it begins with what you like.🌹Xo Sam
I hate hate hate Delina, I was so disappointed buying it. It smell like old ladies and I will be giving it away. Both Nothing sweet about it Exclusif isn’t creamy, it’s powdery
In the minority here I’m sure. Delina can line up behind BR540. Hard NO. Lychee note is overwhelmingly cloying to my nose. When I sampled at store, I could not wait to shower! Synthetic notes despite price point. NO NO NO!! Safanad, def more refined and sophisticated.
You may not be in the minority actually, that lychee note is not for everyone. As for Baccarat Rouge 540, have you tried it on clothing for the duration of a day? For me it was a hard no in the beginning, but after wearing her, I was madly in love. Can't say the same for Delina unfortunately.. 🌹Xo Sam
My World of Fragrance have not tried this. Do you mean spraying the outfit and wearing it the next day? I tried the Alexandria clone and that is much smoother to my nose.
@@johannaperez63 No, I mean just wearing sprayed on clothing throughout the day. The sillage is great and the scent develops nicely. I haven't tried the Alexandria clone, so can't really say. It could just be you don't like the scent, which is OK too 😉.🌹
I’ve got Delina Exclusif and I want to get Meliora but I’m not sure if I better get the original Delina… Meliora is beautiful but I don’t know if it’s worth the price. For that splurge I want a beast fragance 😭 ughhhh idk what to do
Honestly, What PdM did with Delina is everything that I don't like about commercial fruity-floral fragrances. This perfume is so cloying and synthetic it makes me want to vomit. I cannot take a woman passed high school age seriously who wears this.

I have Delina and I love it but I prefer the Exclusif. I love the creaminess of Delina Exclusif ! It’s at the end of every sniff and it’s addictive.
Love the matching top! Not a fan of the bottle myself, but I really do enjoy the scent. ABSOLUTELY a fruity musk on me.

I had the same reaction. Delina makes me sick to my stomach whereas Cassili is actually quite nice. I dont get the hype either lol

I may need to layer it for it to project more. I purchased a $20 bottle of perfume in Dubai 100ml bottle and it last wayyyyyyyy longer than my Delina!!!!! Its my best performing fragrance in my entire collection and was only $20 SMH! Dubai has oils in its purest form

Oh man oh man...
I bought this by accident (don't ask!) So I bought a decant immediately as it was too late to cancel my order, and I thought I'd return it if I didn't like the decant.
So the decant arrived... and I'm not sure how I feel! Generally, I think its a great scent and I like it. I love the tart and sharpness the rhubarb brings. BUT! Sadly I feel this is ruined for me because it smells exactly like the Rose Jam shower gel from Lush!! Everytime i smell it all I can think of is this shower gel I can get for £5.
I've been sucked in to keeping the full bottle because the shop I purchased it from gave me a LOT of PDM samples and a lovely leather coin wallet with it 🙃
I wish it was a bit smoother or softer... I'm wondering if layering this with a pure vanilla scent would help, as I can't smell the vanilla at all!
OKAY UPDATE! So I opened up the full bottle and sprayed it on myself and it smells SO MUCH BETTER than the decant I received. The decant was much more overpowering on the rose but the bottle is a bit more balanced with all the notes.

Idk if its just me, i really wanted to like it but for me it was too sweet as well. And the frankincense is all I smell. I couldn't deal with it. It last though, you only need 1 spray. I like the safanad. On initial spray it have me mademoiselle vibes

I love it, I have both and got them when they'd just come out. Even though they have they have the same name, they smell very different. BUT, I tend to go away from things when they become popular urghh, a shame.

Agree with your taste on this one. I can't stand the bottle. It looks like cheap teenager perfume! I find it weird that PDM has a different colored bottle for each scent and that they are opaque. Anyway, I think I was set up to think this was a generic young girly perfume before I even tried it.

I have a request...have you heard of Ralph Lauren Rocks perfume? It was discontinued some years back, it was my signature scent. Top notes were passionfruit, lemon and kiwi, middle notes Palm Leaf, orange blossom, freesia and hiacynth, base notes sandalwood and amber (basically all my favorite scents). It would be so cool if you found a dupe or something similar to it. Thanks!
Yes, I remember that one! I don't think there's a direct dupe, but have you tried Nativa SPA Guaraná Senses? If you're looking for another tropical scent that's natural smelling, then Tropica by Maya Njie is quite nice 🌹Xo Sam

I adore PdM Delina Exclusif.... no sharp rhubarb note of the original, softer rose notes too.......

If you mean the classic Chloé, then no, they're not similar. People will often compare to other perfumes simply based on one similar note. In this case, it's a fresh rose they have in common, but there are thousands of perfumes that contain a fresh rose. The overall blend is completely different. Hope that helps 🌹Xo Sam

I don't find Delina similar to Chloé, I actually prefer Chloé... if you like that one, you would perhaps like Stella McCartney Stella, Lanvin Eclat d'Arpège, Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise (on me very long lasting), Fleur Musc by Narciso Rodriguez, Juliette Has a Gun Miss Charming, Ormonde Jayne Sensual Love, Emporio Armani Diamonds. 🌹Xo Sam

Delina was not for me. It was VERY strong. It smelled like a rich old lady's perfume. I did not get any sweetness on me. I blind bought it because it is not accessible in my area. I will be returning. I can see how people like it if you like a true ROSE scent, but it gave me a headache.

Hi there! That depends on what you like... floral? fruity? sweet? fresh? powdery? I would say Narciso Rodriguez is great for musky signature scents - you can often find their fragrances discounted online. SJP did a flanker of For Her called Lovely, which is super affordable (SJP in general has some good ones). You can get amazing natural fragrance oils at good prices - Kuumba Made for example does some nice ones. If you like oriental fragrances there are a host of Middle Eastern brands that do fragrances that last well and project, at good prices. Hope that helps, but again, it begins with what you like.🌹Xo Sam

In the minority here I’m sure. Delina can line up behind BR540. Hard NO. Lychee note is overwhelmingly cloying to my nose. When I sampled at store, I could not wait to shower! Synthetic notes despite price point. NO NO NO!! Safanad, def more refined and sophisticated.
You may not be in the minority actually, that lychee note is not for everyone. As for Baccarat Rouge 540, have you tried it on clothing for the duration of a day? For me it was a hard no in the beginning, but after wearing her, I was madly in love. Can't say the same for Delina unfortunately.. 🌹Xo Sam
My World of Fragrance have not tried this. Do you mean spraying the outfit and wearing it the next day? I tried the Alexandria clone and that is much smoother to my nose.
@@johannaperez63 No, I mean just wearing sprayed on clothing throughout the day. The sillage is great and the scent develops nicely. I haven't tried the Alexandria clone, so can't really say. It could just be you don't like the scent, which is OK too 😉.🌹

Honestly, What PdM did with Delina is everything that I don't like about commercial fruity-floral fragrances. This perfume is so cloying and synthetic it makes me want to vomit. I cannot take a woman passed high school age seriously who wears this.
