My uncle used to drive for Sammy's, they lived in Rawdon. I later followed in his footsteps, so to speak, driving for London Transport then Wilts & Dorset.
Hi Greg. Thanks for your comments on this video and others. It is amazing to have such a lot of positive comments from people, including all around the world in some cases. The whole point of creating the channel is to save the films for the future by sharing them to everyone via RUclips which is obviously a most appropriate place. I hope people will continue to enjoy my films after I have gone.
Nice video; only just discovered it. MXX232 was RLH 32 of London Transport originally. I used to go to school on it in Woking, Surrey, regularly. Later, in its early years of preservation and painted red at that time, I went on an amazing trip with it to the Netherlands for an event known as the Tulip Rally, where a dozen British buses spent a long weekend in the Amsterdam area.
Must have been taken over by West Yorkshire and thus became part of the NBC.I think that I only did West Yorkshire twice;Leeds to Barnsley which I'd guess was a joint service with West Riding or Yorkshire Traction and the 36(I think that was the number) between Leeds and Ripon and was a joint service with United.
Love those buses….thank you a million

Very good film.Well done to you all.
Crikey! The buses were not short of passengers! Standing room only by the look of it! Excellent film sunbeam, quality!
Can a bus be beautiful? Well these things certainly are.
