I also owned a 34 ft. Diesel motor home "Foretravel" built in Nacogdoches Texas! Safe travels to you!! I would enjoy hearing and seeing photos of the boat you used to live on and where? Subscribed👍🤗

    Haha, iv'e not come across anyone reffering themselves as "high class hobbos" before. I loved your home, and your wit and sarcasm were brilliant. Most Amercians do not understand sarcasm or so we English tend to believe. Where as us, Brits are masters of it. So it was really good seeing you were not the stereo type. Brilliant video.

    People who gripe about your silverware being on top of the cat closet never had cats! When you have cats you don’t have a place to live. You are in their house and they don’t give a damn where the silverware is! Love your rig! I wanted to do an ambulance myself but realistically I know nothing about electronics and didn’t have the desire to fry myself when trying to mess with it. As far as the batteries go, if you tune into “Our Way to Roam” you’ll see them making their own batteries also. Great job. Love what you did with it, even if you are Marine! We’re Army! ‘Nuff said!!

    • @TeamWiff
      @TeamWiff  Год назад +1

      Well said! Even with our knowledge and experience I still felt fried many times 😆. So glad we made it to the other side, but I totally understand not wanting to put yourself through the… experience of converting an ambulance. At times it was like cruel and unusual punishment. 😂

    Really smart to attach the Starlink. I watched another gal who had to leave a camp site in a hurry due to shots fired, & hers was set out away from her RV for best reception. She had to wait until the cops showed up to retrieve them. I also love that you kept a door between the cab & the back. If things get weird & you need to leave fast, you can just go.

    Hello from phoenix, Arizona. I just wanted to say a great video. Thanks for sharing your ride with us. Congratulations on doing your own battery. That’s very cool. I laughed when you said to make sense of all this who ha. One last thing I trust you have a personal locator beacon. You never know you just cannot depend on cell phones. This is an area I’ve done a lot of research him. And I don’t mean a satellite communicator I mean a true personal locator beacon that has full power of 5 Watts. This can make a difference if you need to get out a signal from deep in a canyon or you’re under a snow covered tree canopy plus there’s no monthly fee. I use the brand a CR. Stay safe

    First, thank you for your service, sir. The fact you showed you home as "lived-in" is a plus for all those who want to do something like this. Looking at the use of scrap materials to save money is what people do in order to have reserve cash to have fun. I have a huge scrap wood cart full of pieces of wood waiting for me to use. Great video and great conversion of an ambulance. Having worked in the back of box and van ambulances for most of my career and being 6'3" I can appreciate every little bit of height you can get.

    Whoa! Great video! My wife and I are about 75% of the way on our Freightliner FL60 Ambulance conversion. This video has tons of good ideas..... both for the ambulance itself and also for the video presentation of it. You've done a great job with the ambulance, and a great job producing an interesting video. Did you rehearse your spoken parts? There's so many good sound bites and clever 'turns of phrase'..... evidence of plenty of good preparation, or amazing verbal spontaneity!

      We don't rehearse, but we did plan talking points, and we just try our best to hit as many as possible with as little takes as possible. We had to shoot this video twice though due to the first attempt being recorded in the wrong format, so technically, the first time was just a rehearsal 😂

    YOU COULD USE AIR BAGS ON YOUR BACK LEAF SPRINGS MAYBE CHEAPER THAN NEW H.D. LEAF SPRINGS TO GET THE BACK OF YOUR TRUCK A LITTLE HIGHER OFF THE GROUND / GOOD LUCK

      Thanks for the tip. We're finally starting to look into that. Right now we just have airbags, but can only inflate them so far before stressing the driveshaft. So we are exploring options.

    Great build!! We're a retired couple and just built a tiny mini camper for some fun while we still can. I am really interested in how you made your batteries and how you charge them. Thanks for the video, stay safe and enjoy life! S & P

      Awesome! Is your mini camper a trailer style? We learned what we did with our batteries from searching RUclips and online forums. There's tons of good info for DIYers. Thanks! Same to you.

      Thanks for the response. Yes it is a 5 x 9 squaredrop, sleeps two and two dachshunds fine. Rear opens up to a kitchen area. Nothing serious but works fine for us. S & P
