Thank you so much for putting this on RUclips. I could not work out how to put the blades on. As soon as I watched the video I put them straight on no problem.
Well done for taking the time to do a video on such a simple topic. It's good to know that someone else (other than myself) suggests not getting was n wax on the windscreen, as it does make a smeary mess, and can cause blade sticking, which results in wiper linkage wear. On the rear blade, you can fit the later design, which is all plastic, and looks much more integrated and neater, and doesn't suffer arm rusting, which looks unsightly.
This is a good idea this video with different comparison and different size to wiper blades especially the rear wiper blade! When I changed my front wipers, what I do is turn the wipers on and as they soon come up upwards, I turn the ignition off that way I got them stuck up onto the windscreen! I find it a lot easier to change them that way so that I don’t have to lean down or leave any marks on the car by change the wipers normally in down position!😊 I always highly recommend Bosch as they do last a lot longer than cheap crap ones!
Fab video 👍 Quick update: Bosch aerotwin AR13U (rear blade) is now compatible with rear wiper as it is suitable for hook fitting. Always use Bosch wipers on my 2008 Mk2...
Beavis Pits, thank you so much for this video. Last day i was in a shop and i was searching for a blades... I was checked in internet about recomended blades 20-24 vs 19/24.. i saw your video and i get 20/24 .. thanks. About rear wiper - its still working. Maybe i'll get 15'' as you installed
I used Bosch Aero Twin lasted just over a year in fact 13 months, I have the ones from The Range on for over the last two years and still counting.................................... saved myself a small fortune.
Mike, are you saying you bought your Bosch wipers from The Range, or another brand to replace the Bosch wipers? I didn’t list prices in my video as these vary from store to store, but the cheapest I found was EuroCarParts, less than half what Halfords were charging.
I got the recommended length blades for my US 2012 LR2 and there was some kind of jump on the blades. I had to get the next size down on the driver's side and the jump went away.
Juddering wiper blades are often caused by residue on the glass from glass cleaner or de-icer. Mine often do it in winter due to spraying de-icer on the glass. The blade angle can cause it too if not dead straight/vertical. You can adjust the blade angle usually by carefully twisting the wiper arm a bit with two adjustable wrenches. It needs to be done very carefully. There are RUclips viddos on how to do this.
Another useful video. The only thing you didn't mention which is useful for shorter people is putting the wipers not the service position. Hold down wiper stalk when switch off. Thanks again.
Have you spent much more time using the 15in rear? Has it managed to stay on the arm okay? I’m worried it might come off after a little while using it!
I used it today and it seems fine. It did click in, but didn’t lock with a button like the H341. The recommended SP13 had the same adapter as the SP15, so I don’t think it will fall off. The difference in swept radius is quite noticable from inside the car. Much better rear visibility.
Great idea! I struggle everytime I change my blades. Takes me a minute to remember how to do it. It's a bit different than most American cars. Cheers!

Glad to hear my video helped!
Good and informative video as always, thanks. Just going to replace my front ones.

Thanks! I’d be very interested to know what you bought to fit a later type flat blade to the rear.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant great video learnt a lot regarding size and fitment cheers 🍻
Thanks John! Glad to hear that you found my video useful.

Yes, my 15” rear blade is still working well!

Thank you another great video, FYI the H340 (SP13) was superseded to the H341. Keep up the good work.

great video, nearly defeated me, but sorted after seeing you show hw to disengage presing the two rear lugs to release.
Thanks Ned, glad to hear you found my video useful!

Thanks Chris. I’ve not tried this before. Will give it a go.
Great video, thanks for uploading. Burning the midnight oil I see 😁
Yep! These videos take longer to edit than they do to film!
Thanks great to know I’m now going to buy a new back wiper blade
The full 15 inches?
