This is very informative, thanks. Im a f2p with low cs due to other contents on the internet that says dont do this dont do that. Luckily some players accept me at runs even with my cs. Now i can upgrade my cs without fear.
When people usually says to not advance they refer to doing it to every single piece. Remember you lose 10% of exp when feeding it to another piece. Do it many times and you will be losing a lot but doing it once or twice over the span of many months your loss is negligee. But you get the power immediately and are useful in any content you participate in.

1. U said ur Cs comes from your equipment and not your wep and matrices but when ur wep and matrices is high or max out, it allows you to farm for the equipment earlier or do bygone to higher levels earlier and hence your equipment can get higher enhancement.
2. Whatever u told us its alr the things that we alr know, starring our equipment, focus on the substats that is impt. The problem is, we CANT we simply do not have the Cs and ability to get anymore gold gears and better equipment than we alr have now. I'm currently at 229 bygone and I'm stuck, I don't have enuf to clear the Frost bot. I cleared all my ruins. I JUST reached +15 on all equipment and I have almost full gold gear with 2 purple left to change. My wormhole is done too, at 48 now (I can't advance because Frost resistant) and by doing everything I'm still stuck at 29k Cs. I also did my frontier and void rift(sometimes I skip void rift if it is Frost resist). I believe its my matrices that is pulling my Cs down because I only have 1 ssr matrice equipped so far and I have to wait until the next matrice pity to get 1 more and then 1 from Frigg banner. I literally have to get SSR matrice from pity bexause I DO NOT have the luck to get any matrices from any WB. (I have not gotten a single ssr matrice from wb since day 1 despite using all my keys)
3. I know u trying to help but everything u have said we have alr done but its just useless because its the information then we alr knew. U kept emphasing that ur wep and matrices is not the main contribution to ur Cs but it indeed is the stepping stone to how you get your gear in the first place. It's very hard to relate because you are a whale and u are doing everything that we cannot even achieve in the first place. U literally have all ssr matrices equipped at least one 1 char while most of us don't even have 1 char with full ssr matrices.
Just need to do Joint Ops more, it drops SSR matrices as well. I got 60% of my SSR matricies from Joint Ops. Am at 35k CS as F2P and I don't even play that hard. All ive been pushing is Joint Ops, esp now i'm level 60, I've started refreshing vitality just for Joint Ops.

How are you faring in FC Hard? Curious because 229 bygone is pretty good for a non-whale in my book. 29k Cs isn't very impressive, but performance matters more than your arbitrary score numbers. Yea the geared out whales always gonna get farther ahead, that's just the nature of gacha games. It sucks, but that's not gonna change anytime soon.
You might also consider upgrading some of your "off set" SSR matrices, if you're not tight on gold. They give enough stats to usually be worth it, and they do transfer 100% of the exp put into them to the next one you upgrade if you use them as a material. Not ideal, but if it's an SSR you just never intend to use, then it's not really a loss to toss it out when you have the one you actually want right? The other reason not to do that is if you have really well tailored SR sets. In which case try to star those up. Fully upgraded SRs are only a little lower than a baseline SSR if I recall correctly.
And a more general tip that ties into the matrices. Don't neglect daily Support Points. You can nab an extra 50k gold per week off them that can go a long way if you have gold shortages holding you back.

Me and my friends picked this game up from its release, we are all playing as f2p, and I say this no capping that one of my friends CS is at 41k as a f2p. He heavily invested on equipments and alos have a high luck since he always rolls on crits when advancing his equipments. He currently can go toe to toe in terms of CS and CRIT with whales. And in terms with me and the others we are at 30k-35k CS as f2p players.

Yeah you are a small percentage of the luck when it comes to drops. there's only two pieces that offer crit and that's boots and the arm braces, so your friend isn't like rolling crit on every single piece of gear it's just two
$15 spent (battle pass and month pack), 40k CS and doing 72million damage in FC-Hard, beating whales.
Buying dupes for the current weapons is going to hurt him on the long run, could have waited till those characters get added to standered banner in 2.0

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I labored under so many wrong impressions and misguided beliefs before watching this episode again and finally understanding (almost) everything about CS and gear. I thought you had to do A and you needed B because article/RUclips Guy X said so (or failed to mention), etc. Meanwhile, I kept dying and struggling to beat monsters in the field and often seeing my name last on the lists (JO, DT, etc.) lol. I couldn't push the suppressor beyond 5.1 and thought at one point of giving up, thinking maybe ToF isn't really for me (honestly, playing wasn't fun anymore at this point).
But damn if the universe didn't think to guide me to this channel xD Thanks to you, I was able to course-correct my weak game and steer it into a much more enjoyable territory. Ngl, you brought back the sunshine to my day sir lol You da man; keep up the good work bruv.

As a F2p I totally agree with what you are saying about advancement the gear even is bad sup stat, I end up become a tank become of all my advancement are resistant, now I can even tank Valkyrie without dodge most of her skill. Now most of the f2p player end up become a glass needle 😂 at J O or F C hard because how easy they die and low dmg they are

I've more or less given up on ToF because my level keeps getting bumped due to playing fairly casually, and everything is getting harder, but my gear is rubbish. It's just too much, and with Sumeru being pretty awesome, I think I'm falling even further behind and can't catch up.
That's normal. You met the lv cap doesnt mean you can do everything at that lv. Just play at your own pace. Everyone want to be Op, but i will take time.
Yea it’s pretty much designed to make people want to spend more money to get stronger.

this game has its difficulties and needs you to focus on it, if you thought it was going to be boring and as easy as genshin and you could even play both at the same time, then you were wrong.
@@destroyer1631 I play honkai, genshin, and tower of fantasy all at the same time, and have no issues staying on top of end game for all of them. I only play like 2-4 hours for each one a day.

I dont think theres a limit between whale and f2p in terms of pve content. It’s just, we f2p need to farm harder and be patient

Eventually, everyone will have at least 1 cracked setup, whales will just be able to have several setups.
Funny thing is, my CS score is nothing to write home about, but I do actually have all gold gear. My rolls for it are pretty much garbage, but it's all gold! (Oh, and I'm a light spender, so getting gold gear is totally doable.)

actually good advice. your weapon * only matters if it unlocks a function, most of your power comes from the gear advancement.
Not entirely true. Star upgrades also increase the stat growth of the weapon. That said, the raw numbers you get from your weapons definitely fall off the higher in levels we go. They mattered a lot early on at like level 30-40 or so. At this point with gold gear available, you'll get a lot more mileage out of good starr'd purples and gold gear than from any one weapon. At least stat wise.

This is really accurate I'm a day 1 f2p with 39k cs and I don't know why others would just limit theirselves when you can just transfer the advancement if you have looted a better random stat gear even if it has a exp penalty at least you got stronger and you won't even get frustrated on joint ops VII
You just got lucky and or dumped everything in garbage stats gear pieces. If you were not lucky it will come bite you later don't worry.

What do you do with you 5 star gear when you have a better 2 or 3 star piece that rolled better? cant feed it directly into it cuz you only get 1 star from 5 star right? lot of wasted XP.
To be honest, I used to be really attentive about my cs but I started to prioritize more on substats, I have 4 gold equipment on my chara but I can also go full gold if I just choose to but they don't give the stats I need for my current comp which is Meryl Frigg Tsubasa.
Remember, cs only matters once you actually need to reach a certain threshold to unlock better opportunities to farm at bigger rates. You should start investing on stats more rather than CS. I currently am on lvl 61 with 30k cs but with 7-8k frost attack stat. I'd say I'm at a decent position despite having my crewmates at like 6.2-6.3 suppressor lvls of cs

Great guide, I'm only monthly pass and bp, for reference I just hit 29,500 yesterday. I have s4 huma, s3 tsu, s1 meryl on my highest cs team. I'm getting roughly 15k from weapon+ matrices

Even if the purple is 3-4 stars ...you can use them to fuse the yellow gear and get stars too. SO why fear to star gear ?

rolling for gear is not important at this moment getting gold gear set is the priority cuz they're still rare i only got 5 and i am f2p. get full gold advance them all then focus on the rolling
I would like to offer that advancement is locking the star rating to that piece of gear only. You wouldn't want to increase the star rating of a crappy piece of blue or purple gear and then get another one that comes down the road and it's going to end up being weaker or has the stats you want. If you get shitty rolls with all resistance as an example you're kind of wasting resources advancing the gear piece, although you do get the XP minus a small percentage if you fuse it into another piece. What you should do is Advance each gear slot. The regular enhance option increases the status for the gear slot so you can swap pieces as you go and transfer the level of the slot to the new piece without losing the stat boost.
Been lucky in getting gold pieces, but how do you get enough fodder for the advancements? I would love to boost my shoes and gloves but ran out of equipment after 1-3 stars...
Grinding Join ops definitely yields the most EXP. Also hold onto your purple dust right now. I hear there will be great gear exp exchange options coming in the future.

Im an f2p got 40k cs rn, i got c6 crow out of luck, c4 king c2 nemesis, only got 15 gear enhancement and 18 on gloves, after farming for mats for upgrading weapon, I run joint Op 7 using vit on last chest, buy one vit bottle for 50 dc, still farming for gold gears got trash stats rn, dont upgrade trash gears yet, and also got 3 samir matrix 1 starred one, lacking crow matrix. So yeah my f2p journey isn't so bad, and im skipping all limited banners rn up to lin, since ill go for volt team.

I'm a dophin that bought BP and monthly pass and I'm struggling to even hit 30k Cs while completing most of the content in the game alr. What u expect me to do when I have bad luck, just quit the game?

You keep talking about getting gold gear from Normal Frontier, but Normal only drop purples. Need to do hard for gold gear. Just FYI.

I only have a few gold matrices and 1 Gold boots :( My character luck as like every other gacha type game has also been awful still having fun though which is what matters. Also and i am sure many miss this but you get gear bonuses at certain levels

It's better to say effective CS. I have almost 15 gold equipment that will not benefit me dmg wise. If I equip and upgrade those, they'll just be dead CS.

can i ask if there is other way to get the modules other than the shop that gives 40 per week and byone that gives around 40 per week too? I mean how u get more? i can buy with money or some other way? ur gear is lvl 20 mine is low at 13 or 12 most of them... how u get modules other than those 2 ways? i dont mean f2p i mean even with money it doesnt let u buy them somehow...
The 7 day pack that costs like 2900 Tanium gives it to you daily I believe 8/day.. But whales have pushed bygone since week 1 getting the top rewards and also sit in champions league so we get soooo much more. Don't worry about the enhancement aspect of this and just do your best in the advancement part.
You can also get som from the boxes that unlock in shop after clearing stages in Wormhole.
@@EroticWalruss thanks a lot for telling me... is there a level limmit for gear? is it 30 or more? and lastle if u know what those modules we get on lvl 70 and 80 is it say type 2 modules and its not wanted for lvl 25 as it seems from ur video... so where u use them and where u find them... i search videos i cant find anything if u know it can help...

Why does crit not increase on some gloves and for others it grows a lot as u advance it
when using purple/gold gears as exp for advancement, the exp loss is 20% not 10%
how much important is crit? i have a glove with atk, 2 element atk & hp, but no crit, i'm hesitant to advance it...
I realised that not all CS is equal when a dude with 10k cs did more damage than me with 22k cs. I also realised even if i did have some gold gear I had NO attack or crit or elemental dmg stats at all. I now decided to get stars on my purple gear and aim for specific stats and with my purple gear I do much more dmg even tho my cs is lower/ similar to before. Ive enjoyed this process :D
also some guy claims he did 200m dmg in FC hard or somewhere, is that possible with the current lvl cap being 62 for a whale? everyone accused him of hacking lol. I wonder what his cs was.
i've seen one or two F2Ps with 40k cs right now, but they are like the 1%
umm 200M sounds out of reach as I play with a huge whale who has c6 crow + 3* matrix + guild buff who peaks at 144m. HOWEVER, that is also because we deal a ton of damage as well. 2nd place did 50M 3rd did 45M and 5th did somewhere around 5M. So if we didn't do the damage we did, 200M is possible. I believe you need a total of around 240-250M to do all 5 chests.
$15 spent, 40k CS, and did 72m in an FC-Hard. I watched someone do 130m ~4 days ago, so, yeah, 200m totally possible. Optimum / max damage right now is Crow spam with all stars into Volt Attack. Crow gets 100% Crit rate when they electrified anyway, so dont really need crit rolls. If a whale has been buying 4x vit pots per day since launch, they have like, 124 vit pots to use, thats 248 rolls in JO. If the datamined drops rates are correct, thats minimum 82 SSRs dropped from them (if the Special Fall theory is correct, which it appears to be). 5* SSR is 24k gear XP and 1 SSR is 2400, so 10 SSRs to 5 star a piece of gear. Keep in mind, thats minimum. You also get 1 gold dust / 5 vit spent... Easily possible to have 150+ SSR gear pieces at this point, chances to roll optimal stats, get good rolls onto good stats. Theoretically, it is possible to have over 10k Volt Damage from Gear Random Stats Stars alone. There is a lot of potential. On top of that, a team with 4 whales could easily run a support with CoCo / Zero 4 pc in each each support weapon, and a 6* Shiro for Grevious, buffing teams damage by massive amounts, with crew buff on top of that.
200m in FC is not only doable, only scratches what we can do if we use the available reasources.
When should I star up my yellow equipment? Only when there are 3 out of 4 good statlines minimum?
What would be better? Enhanced Gold Fortress with no elemental substat or elite with advanced+enchanced maxed elemental substats?

I have full orange gear with 1 3* purple boots with 976 crit sub stat. Would you recommend that I upgrade the boots to orange anyhow or start perfecting my gloves? I don't have a crit sub stat on my glove.
A quick question; when you said "rolled the stats", does that mean "looking for another gear that satisfied your preferable stats that you want" or "you can roll the bad stats into a preferable good stats by advancement"?
English is not my main language, so everytime i watch videos talking about "roll gear stats" without any further explanation about how to do "that", it confused me.
I mean to say that you can look for another piece of gear with good stats that suits your needs. You cannot reroll stats on a piece of gear, you have to change the gear all together. Hope this helps

I do spend but not as much as others i can say i got lucky with th boots since it has attack and crit. After seeing this vid i made a gamble and used all my blue and purple boots to make it 5star boots and I got lucky 2 times increase in Crit and 2 times increase in attack the other is on resistance.
should I use my purple dust to get purple gear from the shop? right now I’m stuck with blue gear with a purple glove, and don’t have enough fodder to advance my stuff
This is great advice. I can attest to this method. I'm f2p and I don't have any issues with any of the content in the game (except void rift, but that's more of a team problem). I only have two pieces of yellow gear and I'm sitting around 24k cs
I thought we gonna lose about 30% if we recycled an upgraded equipment
10% if you directly use it into your next piece of gear. IF YOU RECYCLE IT and then use the crystal I believe you lose 50%... Which is TERRIBLE. NEVER recycle your gear as a f2p. Always just use it directly as exp.
@@EroticWalruss it's 20%, not 10. But the base xp of the gear you get in full of course.
problem is, I got boots with crit, but so far its 4 stars and not a single roll into crit, and my cs is 42k with only 3200 crit. I say only cause looking at your 7400 with almost same cs is depressing. Only thing I have higher is volt attack, but this crit is insane how much u got.

Why do you use crow instead of king in your volt comp? Do you swap it in bygone? How do you break shields? Do you leave it up to other players in joint ops?

If you're f2p just don't do that, you'll loose tones of ressources. Don't advance your equipment, not needed and better doing it later. There is easy ways to have leg equipment without the need to superboost you cs for nothing. You'll have resistance rolls and loose every ressources when you can litteraly dodge this later. CS is just a number if its based on your big resistance its just bad.
Most of my gear is from Dimensional Trials.
How does Attack apply? Does it add to each elemental stat? for example Attack+52 does it add to volt, ice etc?

Yes it adds it to all the elements but in return you get less atk boost
I would say this is pretty accurate since I'm a lvl61 f2p playing since day 1 and I have 35k cs currently and I leveled most of my gold gears even if the substats are not that good.
Enhancing them is fine, but increasing their stars would cost u a lot. I have seen 35k people with substats worse than mine. (I'm 27k cs). Which just means ur cs is not worth the push

@New Crypto i have just 30k cs but can clear JO 7 with no problem. Take a look at your gear if you have better stats purple gear than gold then use it.
I have a question on what you should do when joint ops or bosses from frontier clash or void rifts are resistant to your elemental damage type. Is it viable to make a secondary team that uses a different element or would that be spreading resources too much? I ask this because I run volt team but for several of the gold gear pieces i don’t have are behind joint ops with enemies being resistant to volt and i dont want to be the one in there not doing enough dmg because im using the dmg type the enemies are resistant to. What should i do?
Are you running king in your volt comp or Meryl? Usually there’s a shatter unit on your team. I’d just use that. Especially if you are a low spender/f2p diverting resources is not possible at this stage

People can’t complain so much about been f2p compared to genshin, cause I am a mega whale in genshin but in tower of fantasy I have bare spent much on the game. My character are c0, except those I got by luck. JUST ENJOY the game people
Which atk stats better? Element atk or atk?
Element atk can roll much higher values because they only work for that element whereas atk is universal. Ideally you’d have an elemental set for each element but that’s not practical so a mix of atk and elemental atk of your team is good.
@@EroticWalruss ah i see..so there is pro and con for atk stat..con is lesser stats but pro is we can switch elements with 1 eq only..yeah for endgame we all gonna have 1 set eq for each elements

At least an attack stat that you need/use Atk/elemental atk of your choice

@@a.d.a.m1413 I'd say one is OKAY if you get lucky one the first/second roll. But if by 2 star you didn't get it into the stat, just stop.
