@@csldrsharkey7962 his vintage colorsound tone bender is worth way over 2000 usd alone not to mention the vintage foxx fuzz wah. lol i have a few things the same as justin has used, most of which isn't that expensive. Boss DD-3, Boss Chorus Ensemble, Boss Bass EQ, his wah has chopped and changed over the years from a morley bass-fuzz combo to the afforementioned fox to just a standard JD Bass Wah, Digitech bass wammy, pro-co turbo rat. He has an envelope filter in there, but for the life of me can't remember what one it is off the top of my head while i'm writing this. And i probably missed a couple. Keep in mind though, he runs his pedals in two circuits. One to a clean rig, and one to a dirty rig. Think all the dirty has on it from memory is the bass eq and the turbo rat, everything else is run together.
@@TroublesomeOwl What a lot of people get wrong about Justin's setup is thinking they need his exact board. For example, instead of a vintage tonebender, just get a DOD carcosa for 90 bucks. Instead of a turbo rat, a darkglass B3k. They're cheaper and sounds more like his album tone. You also don't need separate pedals for all his delay and modulation, a single multi effect unit can cover all of it. The only thing that's absolutely necessary is a whammy
I might need to listen to this again later with headphones, cause unless my phone speakers are crushing the sound (which they normally do when fuzz is involved) this thing is basically just a wind sound effect + gradual mute to me
If no one else will be honest I will. I'm gonna buy this thing and I'm like 99.9% certain I will just use it for those giant fuzzed out filter sweeps. Which I can already do with my fuzz going into my wah, or with my EHX cockfight. With the expression pedal it does a lot of what this does. But we all know I'm getting it anyway!
@@NateNavarro Okok thanks I was in doubt because when the output of a pedal I will say a distortion for example goes in the input of the interface the sound it’s horrible and it needs like a cab simulator, in my case I don’t record with a mic and amp so I wanted to know for sure if it was possible to do that way. Thank you very much and continue with the amazing work !!
I didn't even realise he used a wah to be honest. I thought it was all pure tone from his Wal. Which songs is this really promiment so I can go back and listen?
you make a good point in that Wal and a few others have preamps that most don't realize are *filter* based instead of eq cut/boost. but except for the very physical nature of the big inductor, on paper a wah is just a special case of an envelope filter so in all fairness I would be happy with a nicely voiced envelope with the fuzz on its own. :-) I'm getting close to having my dream pedal finalized in my head - I don't want to build another power fuzz wah clone but there needs to be boost, breakup, and shape that can really dial in the quarter and half tones that you want in any given application and the power fuzz wah is a pretty good place to stick one of the timbre pins in the map at.
the wah makes your playing sound like me. thats not really a good thing. the fuzz is like pre IR sound you get from distorting a guitar without sending it to a cab and the wah is nice sounding but the fuzz ruins it.

Oh god my wallet....
I’ve been on a Tool kick lately and really debating getting an entire board of Justin’s effects. This pedal looks crazy fun
Good luck with that, i'm sure his entire effect line is well over $2000 USD total

Get a C4 Synth. You can use it as Flanger/Phaser, octave Fuzz, autowah and Taurus pedal type sound
@@scottlapier4797 well there goes like half the board into one pedal

I love how you can play proper clean bass and then go spaced out crazy. Can you do that with other wahs or similar?!
Love Tool, however getting much stronger Cliff Burton vibes from those sounds.
Who do you think inspired Justin?
That has more to do with the playing
This is a fuzz+wah pedal, and Cliff's thing was fuzz+wah, so...
I love Cliff and he's my favorite bass player but I get what you're saying this is supposed to be tool not cliff
Amazing tone!!! I love it!! So agressive!!
Nathan is that good he grew third arm just to demo this pedal's features
damn, you were 41secs faster than me :D :D same thoughts here
Anyone can do it. It just takes practice.
And grew a long sleeve sweater too! :)
@@NateNavarro If anyone could do it they would!! lol, Your a badass!!!
Sounds like something out of DOOM or some old James Bond : Golden Eye soundtracks !
Totally true
My idol Bassist👍
I had to rewind when a hand pushed the button while he was playing 😂
It's like a Swiss army knife of a Wah pedal in a pedalboard friendly unit
And YES it can core A apple
Cool pedal. Great playing as always Nate.

Thanks, brotha!
30 seconds in and you sold me a wah
Seeing this video is starting to make me miss my Fender jazz bass. I apologize for the lame pun but this pedal driving the feeling home.
Where can I pre-order the shoes?!
I'm your a new subscriber!
What a great voice you have. Do you sing too?
Awesome!! What songs were you playing when demonstrating the pedal?
Ordered mine, it's on back order. Can't wait to take this pedal for a test drive.😎🎸🤘
UPDATE: Buy this pedal.
Is the fuzz before or after the wah circuit? It sounds like before…
Definitely before.
Really fun pedal and awesome video as always !! I have a question is it possible to record a wah pedal like this straight into an audio interface ?
F'sho! I did that for the last riff, and re-amped it in post.

I'm curious how this compares to the sound of his vintage fOXX fuzz wah.
Cool bro
now i know the TOOL music..The Sound of the Bass..is like Guitars...❤❤❤
Nice pedal awesome demo Nate 🔥🔥
Ordered 😁😁
Do any of these RUclips demo types actually play TOOL or Chancellor's solos with it. Just wondering
Don't wanna chance copyright issues. :/

He's got 3 hands, I don't stand a chance
whats the bass model? cos i have a marcus miller v7 2nd gen and is the same as that fender
So if I buy this pedal, I'll be able to play like you? 😉
as always.. Nate my favorite bass player. I appreciate you brother! never fails with the amazing bass lines.
So it can also work as a stand alone fuzz?
