Tp5 favorite KU win All-Time. I was living in Pensacola, FL at time. This was a late game, I was in Destin at a hotel bar. Wearing my Rush, Kansas Jayhawks jerz. Bar was FULL TILT Gator fans. It's was a blast!
Hell yes!!! Great game!! Julian dunking all over the gators and flashing the Kansas on his jersey afterwards is classic!!!! Rush with the game winner! He’s the best rebounding guard I’ve ever seen play for the Jayhawks
After this game, both coaches had not met until the 2013-14 season. Also, Ohio St lost at North Carolina that same season and by the Final Four, the team who lost those two regular season games were in Atlanta while the winner lost in the Elite 8.
Kansas could have gotten a rematch with Florida had they gotten to the Final Four that year - their bracket was on the same side as theirs - but they couldn't get past UCLA to get there.
Thrill, you better thank your lucky stars that KU got beat by UCLA because if KU had played Florida, they would have won. Now things would have never known, and everything.
lol kansas won the game tho so who cares... Man i miss russell robinson. Last true point guard we've had at kansas. Look out next year, Naadir Tharpe and Frank mason (incoming freshman) deadly. besides tyshawn taylor, ku has had a fresh start at point since maybe J vaugn back in the late 90s

It is unfortunate that this kansas team fell flat against ucla in the elite 8. They really had all the firepower to be a back to back champion
