- I think this is the last episode 1 on Critical Rolee Campaign 3 that I'm going to animate. A lot of people wanted Laudna and as much as I want to animate Orym and Bell's scene. I think I should move on onto the next episode.
Also, this is Probably going to the last of above 3 minutes video that I'm going to do this year because the quality suffers when i do that.

I've said this in other places, but I love how Laudna's character concept is basically "What if a folktale nightmare thought she was just the fun, goth aunt at the potluck?" I love Laudna so much.
That is the best way to put it and I love it.

I adore how Laudna is so oblivious to how scary she really is and it makes her so adorable
best part is we all know if it wasn't for the fact that she's a hollow/revenant slowly disintegrating away, she would probably be in the running for one of the hottest looking characters theve ever made.

Laudna is aware of how scary she is; she uses it to her advantage in every combat. It’s called Form of Dread and pay attention to how Marisha describes it. Laudna knows how scary she can be, she just doesn’t quite know how to turn it all the way off.
"I-I just love kids!" "I *am* fun scary!"
This moment made me fall in love with Laudna
A couple weeks with the new crew will probably teach her a few tricks!👍
My "I'm in love with Laudna" moment was directly afterwards "I'm scary scary?" The heartbreak you can hear, GD Marisha is an amazing performer.
“I love kids!”

Devastated whisper: "i'm scary scary?"
Immediately fell in love with this character.

It took me a while to warm up to the M9. And while I didn't dislike Beau, I didn't connect to her until like 20-30 episodes in. But I'm loving this group from day 1, and Laudna in particular. It's so great seeing Marisha (and Ashley & Travis) getting to play a comedic character. Sam is great at comedic characters, but I'm really enjoying him in the support role (both in game and comedically).

Laudna is one tragic accident away from being a super villain.

OK everyone is talking about Laudna nd the kids but like... Can we talk about how wholesome Laudna and Imogen's whole relationship is?! Like they're both just so supportive of each other and caring and whether they end up actually a canon couple or not they are goals for what anybody should want in a relationship.
I aspire to have such supportive friendships like that. :)

@@RealestKinga make it natural. We shouldn't force two characters into a relationship, we should allow it to grow, if they end up together I am going to be happy, if not that is understandable. After all, maybe we have a campaign where most of the pcs don't end up together.

@@RealestKinga Why does everyone need everything to be romantic? Some of people's best relationships are with platonic or life long friends. Its good to see those as well.

Well, I mean, damn. I feel like that was Laura realizing they literally might have information, and that triggered Imogen to realize the same thing.
Laudna just slumped dejectedly over that crate really made me laugh adhshfk, this is such a good and lively animation, it really brings the scene to life! I love it!!
Loving Laudina's wholesomely creepy vibe. Local Eldritch Horror just wants to be friendly. Sadly misunderstood.
As much as I would have loved to have seen a truly horrifying close up POV of Laudna when she jumps out at the kids, I'm also very glad that I won't be having nightmares about it for the next few weeks.

@@krystopherguadalupe1760 that's basically it? But she also had dark eyes with huge pupils and she doesn't blink a whole lot. Also her magic is delightfully scary.

I love how perfectly portrayed the kids absolute fear is show through the music and visuals, and Laudna just being poorly oblivious to her spookiness is shown. Amazing job as always, Deelusi!

There's something so hilarious about Laudna and Imogen, but also something really sad that we don't fully know yet at time of writing. We have hints and mechanics, but nothing story-wise. Their introduction is so gentle and they have a lovely friendship. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I love this. Laudna is simultaneously the creepiest character ever but at the same time is the most wholesome and sweet person. My fave so far.
Also, this is probably just a nitpick for me (I have sensory issues) but the music vs the dialogue was a little loud I guess? especially with such high pitched tones; it was hard to hear what they were saying over the music. It was incredible otherwise (as is the rest of your work), but I figured I should say something just in case. (I genuinely mean this as constructive and am attempting to be helpful, I 0% want to come off as mean or rude it all comes from a genuine place of wanting to help)
Love the video and I also found that to be a bit distracting! I'm autistic, so also on the sensory issues side of things.

Everybody hears things differently, I myself had to tune up the higher end sounds because I have trouble hearing high pitches, like in upper-range piano music. Sadly whenever you look at audio balancing in recording softwares it can't account for others' hearing 😭

This just reminds me how I was sure they started out as a couple when I was watching episode 1, but the longer the campaign goes, the more it seems that was just wishful thinking on my part. :B

Personally I get more "Doting aunt, gifted niece" vibes, but that's just me. I'm more of an Imogen/Dorian gal. But also a Dorian/Orym gal... Really I just think Dorian needs someone to love him lmao.

This really adds a whole new dimension to Laudna. Obviously being undead there's going to be some tragic backstory but melancholy is not the word I would use for her. This really adds a bit of sadness to it
The way Marisha play her is just brilliant! There's some sort of a soul who once had given up on life but recently found a new spark and reason to life.

I've only watched the first two episodes of campaign 3 (still finishing 2) but Laudna is already my favorite; from what I've seen so far I imagine she is some sort of undead but is either unaware of this or tries to ignore it and just wants to live a normal life. Her admitting she likes the children and sounding so dejected when they ran really drives home that she just wants to be accepted, 10/10.

This was really, really good! The music was a nice touch too. This scene made me laugh before but I didn’t pay as much attention to it when I watched it but you really brought it to life for me!
This is honestly so lovely! The gentle music you added over it really made it feel like the start of a soft romance movie. I really like the way oyu put this together!
Laudna is one of my favorite characters in campaign 3 so far, so I love this animation. I'm excited to learn more about her going forward, and am really curious to see who her Patron is. Warlocks are always fun, and after Fjord, who was also one of my favorite characters in campaign 2, I'm excited to see what they do with her.
Wow, posted this before episode 6, not gonna say more, just, wow.
The audio editing in this is so well done; in most animations like this you can usually hear the background noise fade in and out, but here it's mostly seamless and feels natural.
This is maybe my favorite scene of the campaign so far, love what you've done with it!

I’m only a minute in and already you’ve nailed everything from the word “go!” Love it!
Your head turn when she looks at the children was so great. It had great fluid action that I had to slow it down and count how many drawings. That's when i noticed the timing of the profile of the head that squash first before transitioning into the view of the full face as she makes eye contact with the children. Fantastic and sold me a lot of movement for the few frames you used.
Your Audio is so CLEAN! Well done!

I just finished episode 1 yesterday, second time trying to start Critical Role, I already like them from before and Legend of Vox Machina is awesome so I decided to give it a try again. Staying strong so far.
