@1:39:58, "are people that cynical because they don't tend to behave that way in the real world". Chris is definitely surrounded by a bubble of incredibly motivated and successful people. I would guess that he doesn't have long or meaningful interactions with the vast majority of people that constitue the average person in America, along with all the struggles and stress they live with daily. Many if not most of the working class is cynical because they understand the political class has abandoned them and the culture is heading in the wrong direction. People may not express this cynicism in a brief and casual interaction but it comes out when they get online and feel more comfortable expressing their true feelings.
I can't believe you would interview someone who extracted over $200 Million from Fraud in the NFT market from 2021 to 2023. Where's the due diligence? Why promote a scammer to your followers and subscribers?

I just finished the episode and was relieved to find that this is the same Gary Vee as always, and perhaps a more restrained version of himself whom interrupted incredibly less than years ago; plus he actually conversed on this episode. Social media is the only one on the list that has way fewer limits, and involved way more people, than anything else. It’s undebatably the best reflection of actual society of anything we’ve ever had.
@@ForObviousReason In no way shape or form is social media the best reflection of society, particularly when we consider only 15% of the world is on social media. Too much of anything makes tyrants of us. This is how social media feels to me right now. It feels like ADHD just threw up all over my phone. It's chaos to phsyfin through so much content to find valuable information. I hope we can organize it better.
I made it 36m22s and i couldn't take it anymore. Everything this guy says is empty words. Also, how many tiems do you have to say " for everyone thats listening..."
I read all the comments hating on Gary Lee here and I get it but I also don't . I think a lot of the people who've jumped on the hating Gary V Bandwagon maybe don't realise how much he literally influenced what you all know as social media /vlogging / podcasting and all the different mediums you enjoy and the way you actually enjoy them - I hate that the internet becomes This place to shit on people - this comment is here for you all to realise we aren't all hateful ass holes in this world
i wanted to comment the same thing. is anyone else finding this somehow dystopian and damaging mental-wise ? i am pro capitalism, but this goes somewhere to the extreme. and extremes are generally not good. 'trade your life for the attention black hole'. what i learned from this video is just another confirmation of how toxic and manipulative the internet has become LE: i should know better to comment before watching the whole thing. what he said about taking a step back to take two forward regarding the internet bringing out our worst is actually a great perspective i never thought about.
I dont know if we have reached a point where the quality in guest is bound to drop in order to maintain the upload schedule? To me Gary is a just grifter.
Nice podcast overall, found it very reasonable with a few nice insights. Not sure where all the hate is coming from, feels like people commented without watching the podcast. lol.
So many people react to what they think someone said rather than trying to understand what the person actually said. Fixing this one issue will probably solve 90% of issues seeing as how most people are seemingly intentionally misunderstanding one another these days. So it looks like this: “Ahhh! I don’t understand you, you’re a threat to me and my beliefs and my identity, must cancel you since you are a threat!” Like wtf is that
Just a general question and maybe asking for some other people if they suspect their personal identity has been compromised by some nefarious means without the burden of proof, what would be the best course of action other than reporting it to law enforcement and those who should be advised such as credit and financial institutions and employers. And this is a market currents and and an anticipatory issue with the ability to replicate an individual persona with the investments advancements of technology. Just asking. Thanks
The reason excess cynicism doesn't work is cynicism is a filter for the brain, which selects out things, based on that cynicism. I notice this all the time in my life. Whatever I'm thinking about I generally find in the real world. 🎤🎹🎶"A man hears what he wants to hear. And disregards the rest"....sang Simon and Garfunkel in The Boxer. Cynicism is a story we tell about life. One of the correct things post-modernism got right, there is no such thing as reality. We select certain things out, omit others, our brains are pattern recognition and story seeking devices. That's also how computers work. They find the story programmed into them. Like Google Gemini AI, coming up with black Nazis after being programmed along Woke assumptions....which are stories set into computer programs....filters on reality, like cynicism, which is often confused with intelligence. Different things. We look for things we think are there. That's where the phrase "self-fulfilling prophecy" comes from. That's where the expression "be careful what you wish for" comes from. That's why positive thinking and goal planning work more than average: the brain goes looking for those patterns in the real world. That's why free will is a thing. We can choose among mental states. We decide how to see the world, what patterns to look for. I once knew a man who moved to a small town, then complained: "The people in my new town are unfriendly, just like the people in my old town". He was right. I once knew a man who moved to a small town, everyone was friendly just like his old town. He was right too.
So excited this legend. I know the amount of value here will be unbelievable. I was on ask Gary Vee like a decade ago and it changed the way I think about life. So excited to have you both on Think Unbroken Podcast one day soon.
If you're going to interview somebody who cusses either let them cuss and play it for what it is or don't interview them. It's very annoying for every other word to drop out especially when you're interviewing Gary Vee
For me this is just 2 hours of inane self indulgent waffle. Zero substance just cliched platitudes . Big fan of Chris work and he interviewed this guy the best he could but ultimately he was dealing with a guy spouting a load of meaningless tripe I feel. Maybe this Gary guy is just super intelligent 4d chess and I don’t get it :/
I think the content just doesn't apply to me, he is talking about success on social media, which just has little to no practical application in my life. Popularity and social presence is just not even remotely where my priorities are. I think that's why I didn't enjoy this. ... and I hate to say it but this guy's voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me, which just makes this intrinsically unpleasant.
i never heard of Gary Vee, and he seems competent in his domain - that's not a bad thing, good for him. it's just that his domain is what makes the internet such a bad place lately, and yes, this is quite contrasting compared to other subjects we've been seeing on this channel. it was an interesting watch, but not my thing. LE: i should know better to comment before watching the whole thing. what he said about taking a step back to take two forward regarding the internet bringing out our worst is actually a great perspective i never thought about.
Ha lots of negative stuff towards Gary. Very little respect for the fact he built a $200M empire and net worth on top of social. You can say all this is empty, but it’s these banal platitudes that end up being true later in life. I’m not sure what words you guys live by, if any, but these aren’t bad choices. Bunch of people that have accomplished literally nothing talking down about a highly achieved man. Go figure..
It's not about building capital. It's about the basis in which you build it. HTffckng is a multi-billion dollar industry. Wired and cyber fraud too. Following the logic you portray people should respect the heads behind those activities just because rises money.
@@siinxx7656 yea this is a pathetic attempt at a "gotcha". 5 mins of reading how he started with the wine business, then did marketing consulting, and so on would give you the context you need. The comment wasn't meant to stand logical scrutiny in the way you attempted to do it. In fact, I would say you had to take a very ignorant perspective on what I said, the context of Gary as well as the comments I was responding to, and ignoring my statement about his platitudes. but feel free to feel like the champion, buddy.
There's things you cannot talk about. I could do entertainment stand up but business and political there's so much you cannot talk about. So what do you do unless you interview people. Being a Journalist is what I listen too like here. It's never about yourself with RUclips or podcasts. It's interviews.

This was really awesome!
He's back, Mr. Vague still going above and beyond the 100 word minimum essay and saying absolutely nothing.
The king of the yappers, yapping in glorious 8k resolution.
I read all the comments hating on Gary Lee here and I get it but I also don't . I think a lot of the people who've jumped on the hating Gary V Bandwagon maybe don't realise how much he literally influenced what you all know as social media /vlogging / podcasting and all the different mediums you enjoy and the way you actually enjoy them - I hate that the internet becomes This place to shit on people - this comment is here for you all to realise we aren't all hateful ass holes in this world
ARCHITECTS SHIRT LETS GOOOOO ‼️
whats that?
@@fredventure it’s a band, if you’re into metal they’re pretty sick
Some people just love to hear themselves talk 😂
It would be great if you could bring Ben Felix from Rational Reminder. Very smart and talks in an easy-to-follow way.
This man’s definition of winning pretty neatly matches my definition of losing.
Haven't listened to GaryVee in a long time, dude's still cool af
Really good content.
After watching many episodes of this brilliant podcast, this was the first guest that gave me the creeps.
Does anyone else feel this?
1000% cliches and grifter energy
i wanted to comment the same thing. is anyone else finding this somehow dystopian and damaging mental-wise ? i am pro capitalism, but this goes somewhere to the extreme. and extremes are generally not good. 'trade your life for the attention black hole'. what i learned from this video is just another confirmation of how toxic and manipulative the internet has become
LE: i should know better to comment before watching the whole thing. what he said about taking a step back to take two forward regarding the internet bringing out our worst is actually a great perspective i never thought about.
dude annoyed the hell out of me.
I dont know if we have reached a point where the quality in guest is bound to drop in order to maintain the upload schedule? To me Gary is a just grifter.
Nice podcast overall, found it very reasonable with a few nice insights.
Not sure where all the hate is coming from, feels like people commented without watching the podcast. lol.
Didn’t watch and lacking critical thinking
I came here to say this...
Advertising is dead, people hate it. Its spam. You disagree? Ok, disable the spam filter on your email and never skip an ad on RUclips again.
We always hated it. In the sixties we stood up and turned the volume down between Star Trek segments.
I mute the propaganda now.
But it still works. Good Ads still works. Local Business using Ads AND social media sells more. Just the way it is.
I learnt from you in the past
Im trying my best to understand gary vee but he sounds like hes just rambling everytime to me. Am i the only one?
Yep. Blah blah blah.
I think one of the most important things Gary talked about was the topic at the 1:00:00 mark
So many people react to what they think someone said rather than trying to understand what the person actually said.
Fixing this one issue will probably solve 90% of issues seeing as how most people are seemingly intentionally misunderstanding one another these days.
So it looks like this:
“Ahhh! I don’t understand you, you’re a threat to me and my beliefs and my identity, must cancel you since you are a threat!”
Like wtf is that
Let’s goooooooooooo. So happy for this. ❤❤❤
next. level.
Instead of picking Gary apart for being himself… I heard him.
Haha, GaryVee didn't make it on the shortlist for the fancy screen videos.
Superb! ❤
Thanks
That’s way too exciting! Let’s go 🎉
The reason excess cynicism doesn't work is cynicism is a filter for the brain, which selects out things, based on that cynicism.
@@doetodeer there you go...better, thanks
I loved it a good one
While everyone's enjoying the awesome content I'm just here in awe at seeing Chirs wearing an Architects T-shirt. Stay metal Chris!
1:06:16 Gary wet willying himself got me rolling! 🤣😂💀
So excited this legend. I know the amount of value here will be unbelievable. I was on ask Gary Vee like a decade ago and it changed the way I think about life. So excited to have you both on Think Unbroken Podcast one day soon.
here before the bots lets goooo
which bots?
If you're going to interview somebody who cusses either let them cuss and play it for what it is or don't interview them. It's very annoying for every other word to drop out especially when you're interviewing Gary Vee
For me this is just 2 hours of inane self indulgent waffle. Zero substance just cliched platitudes . Big fan of Chris work and he interviewed this guy the best he could but ultimately he was dealing with a guy spouting a load of meaningless tripe I feel. Maybe this Gary guy is just super intelligent 4d chess and I don’t get it :/
Then don’t listen to it! 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@@enesyildiz10 then don't reply! 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂ lol
Weird how this podcast didn’t seem to do that well. Was there just no intro or is this a shortened version of the original?
Could only make it 15 minutes in before closing the video
Inspirational as a small creator
If Gary is doing this podcast, he must be in "jab" mode.
To all the haters in the comments on this one: do something productive with your life and you'll start feeling better about yourself
Let's go!!
Pumped for Gary Vee!!
You are best marker I fallow in past years if I come back to marketplace mgvd f h
Was sad to hear about Gary's divorce
Architects shirt, niceeeeee
Wouldn’t peg Chris as an Architects fan. That’s what I took away from this episode.
Dude is a big alternative music guy, I remember him raving about Sleep Token's last album
1:08:03 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don't know much about this guy. But this seems interesting. Thanks!
Some people are authentically shit, I don't think authenticity would work for them.
LonelyGirl15 is the reason I have trust issues, thanks for the reminder Gary 😂
There's things you cannot talk about. I could do entertainment stand up but business and political there's so much you cannot talk about. So what do you do unless you interview people. Being a Journalist is what I listen too like here. It's never about yourself with RUclips or podcasts. It's interviews.
Gary Vee predicted tik tok! Thats hilarious
CHRIS wtf is up with bleeping the curse words? It’s bs and totally disruptive listening to it. Why doing that?
