Finally after so many years, Sword/Shield will give us the Farfetch'd evolution we've always craved, Sirfetch'd. If he isnt just the same pokemon with a top-hat, monacle and using his celery stick as a cane I dont know what I'll do.
NB: Flying type moves do hit ghost types, meaning peck would have done more damage than mud slap against Morty. NB2: A not very effective Return is still stronger than a super effective mud slap.... Return (102 * 1.5) / 2 = 76.5 Mud Slap 20 * 2 = 40
Why none of you bothered catching a Geodude? Or a Fighting-Type Pokemon at this point? (Seriously, I always went out of my way to catch Geodude in Gen 2. Not because of Witney, but because it was one of my favorite lines.)
Looking forward to another great video. I'm still hoping for a team of non-overlevelled weaklings. Side note: that is a fantastic nickname! Side note 2: I'm proud of you for beating this challenge without over-levelling
My childhood dream will be fulfilled next gen, a Farfetch'd evolution! Sirfetch'd. If he isnt just the same pokemon with a top-hat, monacle and using his celery stick as a cane I think we need to riot.
Pleeaase make a Togepi only run! Also, you could also hit ghosts with Peck, it just wouldn't be super effective but since it's stronger than Mud Slap and stab it should work just as well.
You're getting better and better for each video you do. Love that you're knowledgeable about Pokemon or does research on it. Your quality is solid and so is your content. Hope to keep seeing you grow!
Return would do more damage to Steelix than Mudslap by a fair amount. Mudslap basepower will be 40 with the super effective typing and Return will be 76 basepower with STAB and the resist. So once you lowered his accuracy twice you should’ve switch over to return.
I would like to see a video in pokemon black and white My suggestion would to do the run with sewaddle and not evolve it but i think may not be possible. Really i just want in gen 5 with a gen 5 pokemon
Of course you can beat the game with the most powerful almighty duck that is Farfetch'd. GameFreak just gave it such low stats to give other Pokemon the chance to shine as well.
Fun fact, I actually beat Pokemon X with only a Farfetch'd before because I got a level 7 one in a wonder trade before the first gym, and I was like "Know what? I'm going to find out if I can beat the entire game with only this guy because everyone says he's super bad." I ended up completing my journey pretty easily, which was kinda disappointing, I think it was mainly due to how few Pokemon the gym leaders and trainers as a whole had.
16:30 You should look at things in terms of actual damage rather than "super effective VS not very effective". Return is almost twice as strong as Mud-Slap against Onix because of its much higher base power and STAB. Other than that, I love these challenge videos. You've earned yourself another subscriber.
Please do more of these man, I really like you're narration a lot more than some others that do these challenges. When that Charizard hit the flamethrower on you I was cringing the same way you were lol
@@ChillnPlay Hell yeah, I bet. I'm doing a play through right now of a HeartGold rom hack called SacredGold and it makes all gym leaders much tougher and takes out version exclusives, trade evolutions, available Pokemon, etc. I really recommend it, but I know you just did a HeartGold playthrough lol. I enjoy your videos, and I appreciate what you do bro
Ever heard of doing a Gym Leader challenge where you can only use the Pokemon of a specific gym leader? I just started one and so far it's a lot of fun! I get to use different Pokemon as well rather than be stuck to just one. That being said it's not as challenging as this, haha.
The moral of this story? You weren’t an idiot as a kid for only using your starter, it really is the most efficient way to play. Not only do you get over leveled, but even at equal level, by the time you beat Blue, you have the following boosts: 12.5% more speed than the stat card value 12.5% more Def than the stat card value 12.5% more SpD than the stat card value 12.5% more Attack and SpA than the stat card value 12.5% increase to base power of attacks of every type but dark (each badge boosts that type by 12.5% in GSC only: Earth Badge counts as ground type). Thus, combining that with the stats means you do around 25% more than what the stat card says.
I’ve got to say that your narratives are going better with each video, and I really like that, It makes the video more “personal”, a feeling like I’m actually talking with you as you play. And F for those Gastly evolutionary line buds who like to kill themselves lol
I keep finding myself rooting for you and your pokemon when I watch these videos. Thanks for taking these challenges and posting them. It's fun watching you work around the strengths and weaknesses of whichever pokemon your focusing on. Focusing your attention on one pokemon at a time, it's hard not to like them even more or learn more about them.
I'm glad you enjoy them and keep rooting for me friend! These videos are made for entertainment but also to shine a light on these pokes you wouldn't normally consider to show what they have to offer
5:35 "Now, I only have one move who can actually hurt these guys" (ghost types in Morty's gym) Uh, Peck, which is Flying hits Ghosts too. Not sure how you missed that. Everything else is nicely done. You're so calm.
I can literally not believe that you actually managed to one shot Red’s Relaxo. Seriously, I struggled with that Relaxo even with a Machamp and fighting moves, and you one shot it with a Farfetch’d..... What have I done wrong in life?
Love your videos! I watched a lot of these challenges and it got me thinking... can you beat crystal with a shuckle only (no items in battle)? would love to see that in a video
awesome work man you have great strats and I’m really impressed with how easily Dux took everyone down even without powerlevelling!!! legendary music choices too as always
Fun fact, with a bit (okay, a LOT) of grinding you can make this challenge an absolute joke. See, wild Farfetch'd in gen 2 have a 2% chance at holding a stick when caught which is a unique held item that if held by a Farfetch'd increases its crit rate by two whole stages. Forget 10% extra normal damage with the pink bow, imagine this run with a flat 25% crit chance for every single move. Of course, catching an average of 50 Farfetch'd to get a stick is brutally boring, but just think of the pain you can bring.
That face you make when you try to remember the new episode of Chilln Play you wanted to watch after work, and then youtube reccommends a video from Chilln you ALSO missed. I can't handle so many good videos ;_;
Well done, this kind of thing is my goal with each of the games, I evolve the pokemon but choose one or two pokemon to beat the game with. Been playing since Red so sometimes it gets too easy, and only use a full team for the first couple play throughs but they usually don't get far past 50 and you never have a disadvantage if you choose a lot of pokemon types.
I thought Farfetch'd would win. I picked him up in Pokémon X in a trade with an NPC and he carried me through that game. Definitely an undervalued Pokémon who can do well in the story part of the game. Loved the vid as always, keep up the good work and keep growing the channel 👍 I can see this channel hitting the 100k's easily.
