Played Howls Moving Castle for 2 Japanese Girls (Joe Hisaishi Street Piano)

- While playing public piano: I started talking to 2 girls who had strong american accents, but I later discovered that they were from Japan and gotten their accent from attending an International school. I then played my own arrangement of 'The Merry Go Round of Life' from the movie Howls Moving Castle. The piece was composed by Joe Hisaishi, and the movie was directed by Hayao Miyazaki and animated by Studio Ghibli

Hi, I’m the Japanese girl that’s talking in the beginning, and just found this video by chance. It sounds amazing here, but was somehow even better in person. It was actually the perfect song choice seeing as howl’s moving castle is my favourite Ghibli movie and i share the protagonists name haha. Thanks for the lovely performance!

My friend played this on a grand piano during a talent show at our school. She's really small (only like 5 feet or sth) and she went on stage, looked at the audience and then took off her shoes, telling everyone that she can't play like this. She then made the whole piano shake and move under her hands. And she really did great. It was magical. The whole room was silent for 10 minutes or so. One of my best moments in life

@@mamajeana100 I um, maybe 😂 but I will admit that I did watch a lot of American shows when I was young since British shows always annoyed me sometimes ( I did watch them but not as much as Americans just a few British ones) so maybe I just picked up an accent or smth I doubt any conditions caused it to change

Absolutely incredible!! I’ve been playing piano for over a year now and videos like these are my Inspiration ^^ cause my hands are still small and don’t reach certain things I’d like to do but I still wanna be able to play magically like this someday
Even with small hands it is still possible to play everything on piano. You might need to remove notes or play different notes occasionally. But every song can be arranged for small hands and sound just as good. And that is a fact. The only problem people with small hands have is that many of the arrangements made by people are for average hands. But if take the melody and chords in most cases you can definitely make an arrangement that sounds just as good

I just started playing piano a few months ago. I always asked my parents to let me get a piano and let me learn how to play, however I was always doing other things like dance and violin classes, so I never got the chance. Over quarantine my grandpa actually and an old keyboard that still worked perfectly and was somehow even sounded perfect. So I put it in my room and I just teach myself off of RUclips tutorials, so I get recommended a lot of piano videos lmao. I found this one in my recommended and I’m entirely entranced by the beauty of it. You played it so perfectly and I’m so inspired by you, just seeing the way that people look and gasp in awe is a really cool thing. I hope that in the future I will be able to play as good as you, and inspire others like you have for me. I truly thank you for this and it has definitely made me want to continue my journey of learning this beautiful instrument :)
