Thank you so much for this video. My prof took at least 2 lec and still failed to made me understand. You just took 7 minutes something and now I know it. Thanks again. Keep going. :)
I get some of the chemical structures off of Google search on images. For the "powerpoint" I use Keynote, which is the equivalent to Powerpoint on Mac computers.
Hello U said omega oxidation in humans occur when the enzymes of beta oxidation are defective..but in omega oxixation after 3 steps Beta oxidation occurs... aren't enzymes defective...
Here beta oxdn defective means..A lack of carnitine or carnitine palmitoyltransferase activity (see mitochondrial carnitine palmitoyltransferase pathway) prevents fatty acids from entering mitochondria can lead to an accumulation of fatty acids in the cell and increased omega oxidation activity. Point is omega oxdn occur in peroxisomes or microsomes. So we evaded the problematic site for this process i.e. mitochondria.and instead used the alternative route. Moreover the beta oxdn occur on the omega side of the chain as the original fatty acid carboxyl group could not be accesed if a methyl group happrns to hinder the process. So omega oxdn is like a backup plan with the ammunitions present in a site other than the original
Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video! Very straightforward and makes the content easy to grasp
I'm glad this was so helpful for you.

🔥🔥🔥🔥 amazing explanation sir
Thank you very much sir
Love from India
Thanks it helped a lot
Very nice
Interesting and helpful.
Very informative... Thanks
Thank you!
Thank you very much
what's the point of omega-oxidation when beta-oxidation is impaired?!
Thankyou for this video! But could you tell me if the FA has odd number of carbons what will the products be?
Also could you please tell what software do you use to make these diagrams ?

Thanks a lot
If you are human, presumably if you're watching this video... 😆 Am I a human if I am posting a comment?
