Chantie He First of all, I believe wwx’s Aunty really did care about him or recognise him as a successor at least or else why would her zidian activate to wei wuxian’s golden core in Jiang Cheng? I actually really like Jiang Cheng too. The reason he lost his golden core in the first place was actually to protect wei wuxian. When the wens were looking for them, he distracted them from finding wei wuxian and got captured and tortured, losing his golden core in the process, this is something wwx still doesnt know. Anyways i really recommend reading the novel :)
@@chantiehe5394 My first reaction towards Jiang Cheng was very much like yours, too. I didn't like him at all. I thought he was arrogant and ungrateful. I thought he was too much of a follower.. but the more I thought about his character I realize JC was a very complex person and he is not without redemption. I think a lot of times Wei Ying could be the way he is, is because he didn't have to shoulder the responsibility of the clan whereas JC had. JC grew up knowing he'll eventually take over his clan; his every move is/was watched by other leaders. Could JC have handled a lot of things better? Yes. But we could say that about ourselves at one time or another. JC would even toy with the idea of it had he not been remorseful or unsympathetic towards WY.... and there's countless more examples. Overall, I think we can easily see JC's flaws cus we're so imbued with the suffering of WY but I think we can all agree that the characters of the UT are just people like us --and like us good people can make bad choices and bad people can make good choices. What is black and white? What is wrong and right? I've never read the novel but I read JC became a womanizer and never formed any real relationships with anyone. Take what you may from that.

Being told about Wei Wuxian giving his golden core to him is when Jiang Cheng is forced to realize just how much his brother loves him. Jiang is also remembering all the harsh words that he has said, and probably feeling guilt and remorse about it. Both brothers did suffer pain and loss, but Wei grew and matured with his. Jiang Cheng just walled himself off with anger. Look at how stern Jiang was with training his guardsmen. Jiang didn't follow his father's firm, but kind style. Jiang needs a wife who could stand up to him, but with loving support at the same time.
I keep telling everyone, you didn't need the kiss or the romance to actually realize love in all its forms. Which is hey I don't understand what Dark Blue Kiss was doing......seriously. Chemistry in potrayal of love is important. Very very important!!
I literally sobbed the first time I saw the scene where WWX sees Shijie on the boat. After the confession of the golden core it perfectly wraps up and reminds us just how pure WWX really is. At the end of the day he did everything for the people he loved and the fact that he never got to properly mourn Shijie just hits even harder. Shijie was someone so precious to WWX (and she felt the same way about him and Jiang Cheng) so it really puts into perspective that WWX was just a teen when he made those sacrifices. But everyone around him treated him like some huge devilish villain but no he was just a kid who wanted to help his brother and in the end he lost the people who meant the most to him. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I’m extremely close to my parents and siblings so I like to think I share a connection with WWX , Shijie, and JC, in that family provides a love you’d do anything for. 🥺❤️ Thank you The Untamed cast for beautifully bringing these characters to life ! ❤️❤️❤️
What hits even harder there is WWX's answer to WN's question: "I am hungry". That answer was in fact intended to JYL as tho his Shijie was really there, because she was the only one who knew about their conversation, and those words 4 her would literally mean "I still think of you and you're still the closest" 😔
I remember the time when their mother got mad at WWX because he acted like a ‘hero’ and she also hit him. Tbh I don’t even know how to feel about that scene
In the book close to the end in Jiangcheng’s flashback, they were running away from Wen. Jiang was waiting in a corner when WWX went to buy food. Jiang saw that Wen’s ppl are about to bump into WWX, he ran out to get their attention and eventually got caught and lost golden core… well saved WWX as well. also same as wwx, he told no one about that. the plot progresses both within various schemes and random factors… tragedy as well- scheming continues one after another and kindness doesn’t matter for the bigger picture ☹️ at least there’s still love

This scene reminded us all how precious Wei Wuxian really is. His sacrifice and love for the people he loved. He took on whatever anyone threw at him. Lan Zhan just realised how big his sacrificed was. I cried and cried for a whole week when I watched this episode in 2019

That's because A-Li was practically hid mom figure. Madam Yu constantly abused him throughout his childhood and he couldn't remember his own mother at all. Yanli loved him unconditionally and spoiled him in her own way. She was the only person in front of whom he could act like a kid and just show his honest emotions. He never did that with anyone else. Of course after he came back and him and Lan Zhan fell in love with each other, he gained a husband and got back his son A-Yuan 😍😍😍😍
Wan qing, She is the most powerful and great doctor, a sister, a person, a friend, in whole story... She transplant golden core.... Also the scene where she found (wan qing) by wei Xian on road that was so heartbreaking.... I am happy that she found her brother back... But she died miserable...

And also the saddest part is.. jiang cheng help the other clans to kill all wen clan include wen qing.. the one who save his ass.. without her he wouldn’t be able to lead the clan

But if WWX can forgive him and after JGY vented out the thoughts I had I felt better and he should have been even more grateful to the Wei's. Even if he didn't know about the golden core he should have remembered about how they treated him well saving him after Lotus Pier was destroyed. It is what brought them to such a terrible situation but he was still ungrateful 🙄
That "as for my mentality, nobody really understands" hit me harder. That feeling of being left alone with no one to lean on. A'xian you've suffered a lot
I know Lan Zhan is usually supposed to show no emotions, but in this scene, you can see he is seething with rage, not just at Jiang Chen but at himself too for being unable to protect wei ying from all that. In this scene, I see not only the sadness and helplessness he feels, but the rage, not just anger when he slams his sword down, and the resolution and determination as he gets up to protect wei ying and never let anything happen to him again. It was very well portrayed, I could tell that he would become even more overprotective of wei ying than he already is. Well acted by Yibo, he did such a great job bringing the character to life, they all did. Even Jiang Chen as you watch the horrible realization of what happened and what he has done causing him to cave in from both pain and regret. I can see the look of "Oh, s**t, what have I done, this can't be" on his face. it was done all around. they all did a phenomenal job here
No matter how many times I watch this, I can't stop crying. All the characters and actors are phenomenal here. All characters were flawed in their own way but made a worthwhile doing their parts.
Can't stand how Wei ying Brother treated him. But I love how ghost general told him about his self. And Lan Zhan protect him . Just love The Untamed. Never get tired of watching it. 2021 ya'll still love it
No matter how many times I rewatch this scene of Wen Ning at Lotus Pier dropping truths, I still bawl like 😭😭😭. Especially when seeing the tears falling from Lan Zhan's face. There is a funny part during the boat scene though... In the novel & audio drama, there's a hilarious part that the live-drama didn't show. It was: when WWX woke up on boat in LZ's lap, the both of them were facing one end of the boat, while Wen Ning was rowing the boat behind LZ. So WWX & LZ had their backs to Wen Ning. After a whole conversation WWX had with LZ, Wen Ning finally spoke up. WWX was like: "WTH?! Wen Ning! Where'd you come from?!" Wen Ning: "I've been here the whole entire time." WWX: "Then why didn't you SAY something?!" Wen Ning: "I didn't think I had to... can't you hear me paddling water? And...who'd you think was rowing the boat!?" 🤣🤣🤣
This part of the drama made me cry buckets. So touching, the self sacrifice of Wei Ying, the realisation of Lan Zhan of how Wei Ying is like n his true nature n Wei Ning who never gave up on his master who saved his life n he sticks with him to look out for him. So heartfelt 😢
I believe Lan Zhan’s heart will broken into pieces when he heard what had happened to Wei Ying and at the same time he is angry too and also feels bad for Wei Ying. This is unforgettable scene.

金丹真相这一段真的拍的好好啊，舅舅的状态从愤怒，震惊，不敢置信，想通前因后果，接受事实的心慌，愧疚，觉得无颜面对羡羡。蓝湛的状态也是，镜头不算多，但是每一个镜头切过去的时候都是应该在的情绪。也是震惊不敢置信，恍然又心痛，再到替他不值的生气。一个表情经常忘记管理的大成，一个要演面瘫的耶啵，一个从“抱不平.GIF”秒切成“乖巧无辜.GIF”的温宁都演的非常棒！
藍湛之前因為江澄那一劍，讓魏嬰身無可戀，放開藍湛的手，墜入不夜天懸涯。16年來，藍湛無怨無悔地等著盼著，終等到魏嬰重生，就算是重生，魏嬰還是使用詭道，不能使用劍，藍湛很介意他無法拔出隨便，其實他是在意魏嬰對他的態度，魏嬰的心還是沒有向他打開，直到換丹，他才明白魏嬰一個人承受失去金丹的痛苦，修詭道的孤單，獨自面對百家喊打喊殺，自己也不完全相信他，藍湛帶魏嬰離開蓮花塢，重重將避塵把地上敲，發洩他對江城怒氣憤恨，藍湛因為換丹更恨江澄，這輩子絕不會原諒他

But if WWX can forgive him and after JGY vented out the thoughts I had I felt better and he should have been even more grateful to the Wei's. Even if he didn't know about the golden core he should have remembered about how they treated him well saving him after Lotus Pier was destroyed. It is what brought them to such a terrible situation but he was still ungrateful 🙄

I know Lan Zhan is usually supposed to show no emotions, but in this scene, you can see he is seething with rage, not just at Jiang Chen but at himself too for being unable to protect wei ying from all that. In this scene, I see not only the sadness and helplessness he feels, but the rage, not just anger when he slams his sword down, and the resolution and determination as he gets up to protect wei ying and never let anything happen to him again. It was very well portrayed, I could tell that he would become even more overprotective of wei ying than he already is. Well acted by Yibo, he did such a great job bringing the character to life, they all did. Even Jiang Chen as you watch the horrible realization of what happened and what he has done causing him to cave in from both pain and regret. I can see the look of "Oh, s**t, what have I done, this can't be" on his face. it was done all around. they all did a phenomenal job here

No matter how many times I watch this, I can't stop crying. All the characters and actors are phenomenal here. All characters were flawed in their own way but made a worthwhile doing their parts.
Can't stand how Wei ying Brother treated him. But I love how ghost general told him about his self. And Lan Zhan protect him . Just love The Untamed. Never get tired of watching it. 2021 ya'll still love it

In the novel & audio drama, there's a hilarious part that the live-drama didn't show.
It was: when WWX woke up on boat in LZ's lap, the both of them were facing one end of the boat, while Wen Ning was rowing the boat behind LZ.
So WWX & LZ had their backs to Wen Ning.
After a whole conversation WWX had with LZ, Wen Ning finally spoke up.
WWX was like: "WTH?! Wen Ning! Where'd you come from?!"
Wen Ning: "I've been here the whole entire time."
WWX: "Then why didn't you SAY something?!"
Wen Ning: "I didn't think I had to... can't you hear me paddling water? And...who'd you think was rowing the boat!?" 🤣🤣🤣

This part of the drama made me cry buckets. So touching, the self sacrifice of Wei Ying, the realisation of Lan Zhan of how Wei Ying is like n his true nature n Wei Ning who never gave up on his master who saved his life n he sticks with him to look out for him. So heartfelt 😢
I believe Lan Zhan’s heart will broken into pieces when he heard what had happened to Wei Ying and at the same time he is angry too and also feels bad for Wei Ying. This is unforgettable scene.
