Hi - love your videos! Can you Please explain KICKING!! This is the last piece I need - why does a team purposefully kick the ball out of touch? Why do they kick the ball downfield when no one is near them and announcers say they are going for territory?? Isn't possession most important...not giving the ball away?!? Why does a team who scored a try get the ball kicked BACK to them?!?!?
Please review the rules and strategies around kicking!!! Thank you!
Go Springboks!!
This is awesome. So much clarity in a few minutes, especially your final breakdown showing the same moment several times, different players, arrows clearly indicating. Perfect!
I think your videos are really the best at explaining this game---good with the basics, but also with the detail. You've given me a new level of appreciation. Thanks!
Love your videos! Love that they include women’s play as well. I’ve just got into a women’s team and loved learning and playing. Hoping you cover Winger position soon!
Thanks very much I really appreciate the in detail breakdown. I've been following rugby casually for a few years now, just watching the six nations and now the world cup... This video will make watching the games even more enjoyable. Cheers mate 👍
Thank you so much for taking my feedback into consideration! I love your channel and look forward to new videos!
Really helpful video. I watched, perhaps observed rugby for a while now - but struggled to understand what I saw on the field. These video sessions are unpacking the game for me.
Thankyou. Happy it is helping you enjoy the game :)
Dude, brilliant. Been watching rugby for years without understanding the ruck, and you just managed to make clear what my rugby-playing friends could never explain to me in years. Thanks.
You make excellent informative videos that clearly explain rugby in all aspects & that makes them important.
Thank you
Very informative!
Vielen Dank für ein sehr gutes Video. Es hilft sehr beim Verstehen und Lernen.
As a new player who as you said learns about the rules of the ruck through fragmented explanations from all over the place and who struggles to decipher the ruck by just watching games I really appreciate this video that states the different protagonists in a ruck AND breaks down the goal of each!!! Thank you so much!!!
Love your videos. So informative.
Glad you like them!
Excellent!
Thanks for yet another informative and easy to understand video. As a fellow South African I've loved Rugby ever since that 95 final as well but I've never been able to get into it properly as there tends to be alot of gatekeeping amongst rugby fans and withholding of knowledge. People like myself who don't get to grow up playing the game don't have a solid understanding of the rules and this channel of yours is brilliant and will help many others like myself to learn and grow. Thanks and keep up the good work.
You're amazingly clear and precise in your explanations
Hi, RSA. ENG, here. First, thanks for the video of ENG being totaly hammered by RSA. 🙂
Second, can we have a vid on KICKING? When to kick for touch, when not to kick for touch, where you can kick for touch from (and NOT from), do you have to kick for touch. I think I'm getting the hang of it but, would be easier to hear you explain it.
Your series has greatly increased my enjoyment of rugby (opening vid aside), and I already loved the game.
Thanks 😀
Squidge rugby has a great video on kicking
@@zorro_lorenor6717 Hey thanks, Zorro.
great video, great channel
Hope you are well and have more videos coming soon! Learning so much
Saturday’s a RUGBY Day!! I’ve been playing for the past 20 years and unsure if whether I’ve had too many concussions, but I find myself constantly reminding myself of certain rugby tactics, reasons for rules, etc. (also bc sometimes the Rugby Union changes/updates laws e.g. scrum cadence). Great video! I shared it to my team, we have a really important game today! Thank you!!
Thank you, I will definitely understand the game so much better now.
Brilliant content... I'm from Brazil, and finding info or anything else related to this amazing sport in this country is sort of a quest. You're channel is an absolute treasure! Thanks a lot! Now I am starting to understand this fascinatingly chaotic mess (at first glance) of sport! Cheers!
Thank you, finally afters years of watching rugby I understand this part
Thank you so much for this, you mended my partial knowledge into understanding.
I do thank you, i be a 39yr old dude over weight 5ft 4 got suckered into joining rugby team in Canada for Windsor rogues my schedule keeps me screwed from practises and you have eased my WTF brain down a bit, it helps Cheers! First game is May 11!
Thanks Will! Great video. Looking forward to the next one!
Brilliant!!!
do inside center 101 please♥️🙏
Absolutely brilliant video.
I think the best way to learn the ruck is to be under one a few times.
So my advice to anyone who is new to the game and trying to learn it is to find your nearest local club and sign up to join the team.
Appreciate you alot very lovely video
Great video.
Good content, categorisation and pace. Nice!
Thank you, sir.
You are welcome :)
you should make a video about rugby trophies rankings the cup plate bowl shield spoon and saucer i've heard abt them but my friends explaination is just hilarious that i can't take them seriously
Can you please upload a video explain forward pod position. PLEASE
Thanks for the great video! Love to watch your stuff, very informative.
I have a question about the NZ v ARG turnover. The Argentinean player touches the ground with his hands before getting hold of the ball. I heard that this is illegal, as he cannot support himself on his feet ("Rugby is played standing up"). Why is he not penalized?
These videos are amazing thank you
you should do an explanation of the scrum
Thnx this is the part of rugby I find most confusing :)
🤣 and I'm still confused 🤣
could you do a shorter junior version? I love ur videos I coach under 10s
I was able to explain hte ruck more easily when we were watching Sevens
diolch 👍
Great! Now please do the maul.
Maybe I'll understand one day lol
I thought you were younger late 20s or 31 at most, you look incredible for your age
not only 'for his age' ;D
I love rugby but i think these ruck rules are too much. So many for 2 seconds of play. Some rules in rugby, not just the ruck ones, are non sensed
