      Well I'm glad you can find a way to enjoy them, even if they aren't ASMR-inducing! I guess part of the struggle of putting out new content is not totally being sure what is going to stick or work for people, but thank you for telling me that in such a kind way 😭 I hope you are having a great week so far!

    Nothing beats home cooked meals. Being an only child with working parents, I learned cooking at a young age. Started with simple breakfast items then moved on to tastier dishes as I got older. Definitely love my Hispanic comfort food but lately I’ve been getting into Asian dishes!

    • @violet_elo
      @violet_elo  5 лет назад +1

      You got that right! It's so rare to meet people who can cook, so good for you! I'm a sucker for Hispanic AND Asian cuisines, so you are speaking my language! Homemade flautas or pad thai are some of my favorites 😍

    This was a really great idea and educational! I would love to see a live cookin video! Cooking is an area I very much enjoy. I like to brag that I have the best equipped kitchen of any bachelor I know. Lol Your choices in fruits in the morning are very similar to my own. I worked with a guy who’s wife made her own soft granola bars. They would be different every time, but the ones that included bananas, small chocolate chips and peanut butter were always my faves. It’s also funny you use skippy brand peanut butter..that’s the only brand I can actually eat without it tearing me up with terrible reflux. In any case, excellent vid and I actually got some good ideas from you. I’m sure most of your fans will be ecstatic to see you cooking some of these recipes!

    • @violet_elo
      @violet_elo  5 лет назад

      Thank you so much! I'm still working out how to make a good cooking video that isn't too loud. And lmao, based on the bachelors I've seen, you're probably not wrong, if you have confidence in your kitchen even a little bit. Skippy is the best! I have had some recipes for granola bars, but always been too scared to try making my own, even though I know it would be a healthier option. Anyway, thank you again, and I will do my best to get on the cooking vid!

    I love freezing my bananas . I chose strawberries and freeze those. I leave the green tops on and blend the whole strawberry. Green tops is where the nutrients are. Same with the kiwi. Eat the whole thing-even the fuzzy part. Maybe not the little hard piece at the bottom of the Kiwi.
    If you can stomach citrus’s, eat the whole lemon and lime and oranges. Even the seeds. Even the peel. If not, just the seeds and the juice is fine.
    If you’re going to make your own plant milk, I would recommended raw uncooked, almond butter. Add two or four cups of water, blend-done! No need for a cheese cloth and waste all that fiber and protein. I love making my own almond butter.
    Being a WFPB you want to learn new idea’s and recipes 👍🏻. I avoid oils of alllll kinds. I avoid dairy, meat, salt and sugar.
    Salt I get from veggies like Broccoli etc. Chickpeas have natural sodium. Sugar-you guess it: From fruits *only*. I love dates. 30G of sugar and I’m *wide* awake. And great way to make date syrup.
    Love this video. Someone who isn’t brainwashed and understands. People like her are people I can comfortably have a conversation with.
    Most of my friends and family are “meat-eaters”. People that can’t stay awaay from meat. They *have* to have them. Damage is done. No sense fixing them.
    Make sure you include B12. I enjoy nutritional Yeast. It has B12 and smells mmmm good.
    Eggs are for the circle of life. Every female has them. It upsets me when my mother buys the rooster’s and the females chickens babies so my family can have unfertilized eggs for breakfast. Avoid dairy. Her milk is for her own babies. Not for humans. We had ours when we were newborns. Yogurt has dairy.
    Load up on *fiber*. That’ll fill you up. Chia, or flax seeds. And you will visit the bathroom a lot though haha.

      You go the whole way! I admire that, big time. I do my best to make sensible choices and limit myself on things that are unhealthy. I still eat vegan on many days! I'm definitely not perfect at it, but I try. I really am enjoying the dairy-free yogurts I mentioned in the video -- have you tried them? Thanks for all your feedback and great advice! :]

  • @EveliinaN97

    Different oils have different steaming point. Beyond that temperature the oil begins to produce harmful chemicals. Olive oil actually has quite high steaming point. I usually cook with avocado oil since if I’m correct it is the vegetable oil with the highest steaming point :) I also want to say that human body needs carbs, proteins and fats. Too much anything is bad for you, but thinking that you should avoid carbs or fats alltogether may turn into something very unhealthy.
    However I did really enjoy this video, the topic is interesting and I wish you’ll make more videos like this! And I can not wait for some ASMR cooking videos! I myself really like ones with voice over, the sound of the actual cooking may sometimes be kinda harsh and loud.

    I liked your meal ideas and this video was amazing but there is just one thing I wanted to mention
    For the breakfast option two, it is a lot healthier to leave the granola out as it is very sugary and carby even tho it seems to be healthier

    • @violet_elo
      @violet_elo  5 лет назад

      Thanks so much! And you are definitely right about the granola -- I should have mentioned it the way you did. I only put a couple tablespoons in my yogurt, and I only do it religiously because I am one of those people who hates the texture of yogurt! Thanks for pointing that out, though, in case people are wanting a healthier option!

    In my neck of the woods it's usually wasting money to buy individual chicken breasts. Better to buy a larger pack of fresh chicken, particularly when it's on sale, and then separate the large packs into individual ziploc bags, then freeze.

    • @violet_elo
      @violet_elo  5 лет назад

      That definitely works, too! The packs I buy come with 9-10 pieces in there, but they are already packed individually in air-tight bags, if that makes sense. It's $9.99 a bag, which is around 1.5-2lbs, so it may still be cheaper to do it your way!

    What you are calling a bushel of banana's is actually called a hand. One banana is called a finger. A whole stalk of hands is called a bunch.
    Warning: Boring bushel talk follows.
    Bushel: "A bushel is an imperial and US customary unit of volume based upon an earlier measure of dry capacity. The old bushel was equal to 2 kennings (obsolete), 4 pecks or 8 dry gallons and was used mostly for agricultural products such as wheat. In modern usage, the volume is nominal, with bushels denoting a mass defined differently for each commodity."
    1 US bushel = 8 US dry gallons
    = 4 US pecks
    = 2150.42 cubic inches
    ≈ 9.3092 US fluid gallons
    ≈ 35.2391 litres
    ≈ 7.7515 imperial gallons
