    This all sounds very promising, Jess. A sensible approach with a little bit of experimentation.
    My current progress seems to echo yours in a way. I broke myself training for an ultra last year. This time around I'm looking after myself better.
    Keep doing what you're doing 💪🏃‍♂️

      It's a hard lesson to learn and most of us do end up learning it the hard way!

    Great to hear such a positive update Jess. Very impressed with the double threshold sessions. I double up with easy runs or a run workout and strength on the same day but never a double on the harder stuff 😁 Keep up the great training, everything is looking good for a great race this year round!

      I definitely built up to it by doing double days with a session and an easy run for quite a while before trying the double threshold. Definitely trying to make sure the double threshold days have both session comfortably in my tempo effort!

    Hey sounding like a good phase of your training. Very intense - well done! Make me feel tired just thinking about it :)
    The weather in March should be good for you, not too hot. I hope it will be dry for your run.
    The daughter of a friend is prepping to take part in the Peak District event in July and I might pop up to cheer her along. Don't know what length of run she is doing. Are you taking part in that one as well?

      Hi Warren! Yes March is usually ok, there's often a bit of a risk the weather will be rough around that time but the last three years I think the race has had good weather.
      I haven't got any big trail events planned for the summer. Planning to do a road half marathon in Jun and then have some fun with some short faster stuff over the rest of the summer.
