The 2010 playoffs were filled with surprises, many of them coming from the East. The Canadiens and Flyers, the bottom two seeded playoff teams in the East, wound up pulling a wave of upsets and met head on in the conference final. Crazy times. The Stanley Cup playoffs tend to have things happen like that every so often. :-)
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know a method to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!

Great call because I'm pretty sure he's referring to the Flyers, as Well. I beleive the other game 6 is in Philly. We were all so sure, at 3-0. At this point, we were dreaming of Boston. Since expansion. When was the last time the teams battled for the chance of playing the West?. My guess is, it was the Don Cherry mocking the ref in game 7 series
The goal with Lapierre was a very important play. He played the pest well, the Pens D was too busy fighting with Max that he didn't think about playing hockey. And it annoyed the goalie enough that he lost his concentration long enough to get scored on. That was the difference between the teams: the Habs had less talent but were on a mission and had a bunch of professionals that were serious about what they were doing.
@@Beginstheman good point, I must say I was sad to see the arena say farewell after being the Pens only arena at that point, Montreal really earned this one
Final game in the Mellon Arena, aka the Igloo. I think that Crosby penalty so early, then the immediate Montreal PP goal was so big for the Habs. I think some fatigue was setting in for the Pens. They won the Cup the year prior, and made it to the finals the year before that…don’t think they had much left in the tank by this point. Plus Montreal had a sizzling hot goalie in Halak and rock solid defense.
Every year it seems to get tougher and tougher to win that Cup. You mentioned the Cup hangover for Pittsburg and they had 2 game the year before and strangely enough... I feel like this series and the first one, both 7 gamers and against the best teams in the east! Montreal ran out of steam too. This is why the newspapers, here in Montreal, used to call them the Smurfs. They're faster but eventually you gets some injuries, you lose a step and then a team like the Flyers!!! The hits they made, Daniel Briefs and other sharpshooter kept find the holes and Our Players couldn't hit an igloo, with a snowball. Lol It's always sad when a run ends & this one was a tough Pill, losing out to Phill. We haven't beat The Flyers since 89 & the Pens haven't beat us, ever. Same State but a whole different Team Cheers from Montreal Quebec Canada
Sid's been pretty bad in the postseason the last two years ( 2019 and 2020 ), so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that The Kid was bad back then too in the Playoffs.
Because of this 2020 pandemic I have had the opportunity to watch many games from the past. Being a Canadiens fan, I watch Canadiens games! I have to say listening to Bob Cole blunder through his PBP on top of his obvious hatred of the Canadiens was ...let's just say ...typical Bob Cole hatred of the Montreal Canadiens! You could hear it in his PBP and in the disappointment he blatantly exhibited after the Canadiens beat the Penquins! CBC has no idea of the absolute DISRESPECT they have for Montreal Canadiens fans world wide every time they had Bob Cole have anything to do with a Montreal Canadiens game!
@@ref69 Unfortunately we here in Canada still occasionally have to listen to "Penis Head McGuire"! look at him...his head looks like the head of a penis!

Halak was a giant killer "he got it done" not Price including Halak's great last half that got the Habs into the playoffs.Halak actually has always been really good he lost usualy for th esame reason his team took to many penalties this was the case this playoffs and including Hlaak's play in nation tournaments. We did not need that ELITE D man Hal Gill was a giant killer he shut down the opposing stars. Something about Domenic Moore many did see and that was he had great cardio he did not tire late in his shifts which made him very effective. Many small players but they worked hard and were not afraid of the dirty areas. This was a team to learn by you need character players that want to win.

was good times when we HAD HALAK unfortunaly where stuck with CAREY PRICE THE PLAYER who is good for golf ive been saying it for 12 years but he s like a bubble gum he sticks around can t get rid of him
You 're right , Carey is way overrated, and over paid, the media made him into something that he is not, he's good, but he's not great. If he was a "PHENOM" he would've swept Boston in 4, in 2009, and that was the year,2009, that Halak help Mtl, into the playoffs, by winning the last 4/5 games of the regualr season. Gainey never gave Halak, a chance to play in the playoffs in 2009, after Mtl was down 2-0 against Boston.
The Habs 2020 upset on the Pittsburgh Penguins brought me here.
I was pissed

The Habs D was very underrated and yes Halak was outstanding but that D was very good as well.
And Markov is injured!

HALAK IS COMPARED TO ONE OF THE BEST KEN DRYDEN SO SAD TO SEE HIM PLAY FOR BOSTON WILL NEVER FORGET YOU
Fuck the Bruins. Besides Halak choked just like Price. Tokarski on the other hand at least tried his best.

the final game at Mellon arena
Not only that. The Habs were the visitors in the very first NHL match AND in the very last NHL match played in that arena.

Lol so is havlak doing what price did in 2014 and 15. If price wasn’t played so much and we had good backups you would regret saying that
Since then Carey has a Vezina and several other trophies. Meanwhile Halak is a back up in Boston.
This aged well.
Halak Was good but Price IS Waaay Better!
But Tokarski at least tried his best against Lundqvist. Roy was the last good one.
