theres a fed case going on rn about covid markups and violation of scamming and more and dealers are about to have to lower to msrp next year when they all sign it off from the fed govt regulation

Man, every time you drop a new vid I feel better and better about the deal I got. Picked up a fully loaded 2021 Charger R/T Plus with only 10,000 miles in February ‘23. I paid $37k OTD. These markups are insane.
Trust me, anyone who can afford to spend $100k on a car is not gonna buy a Dodge 😂 I love my Charger R/T so I’m not hating but I think most people know these prices are a ripoff.
yeah, the fact that Dodge hasn’t stepped up and made something to keep them from electronically stealing the car is total bullshit and it should be a class action lawsuit.
It’s not really the mark-ups it’s the outrageous interest rates. Even with great credit they are still giving out high interest rates. So imagine what is the interest rate on a 80k plus car.
It’s both combined and it’s hard to get bank to finance a car for more than it’s worth unless you gone pay the mark up cash plus the higher interest rates
I got my zl1 in 2019 4500 miles for 51k at 1.9% . Me and my girl went looking at Passports for her. With her great credit, they busted out with 6% interest i laughed and said lets gtfo here 🤣 thats actually decent tooday but i still couldnt justify it. Market will come back just gotta b patient.
this is what you get when you overprice a car to begin with and then tack on some stupid "hard to find" fee ranging from 5k-10k on top of it...financing isnt all that great right now either...rates are high and Chargers arent a popular lease target....not only that...Dodge isnt helping matters by being money hungry and not offering much for incentives...take Chevy for example....HUGE incentives on Camaro...APR deals, money back, lease incentives....list goes on.....so the Dodge salespeople should keep their dusters handy....inventory is going to sit a while
mark up is insanity. i literally bought 2023 1320 challenger for 66k including fully warranty, taxes, plates . Probably helped that i walked in with a check from nfcu and I bought a 2012,Charger RT and 2019 Super Stock from them in the past, but Oursman Dodge in Alexandria VA didnt have any markup stickers on their vehicles .
that nfcu check be hitting different! be making them ready to negotiate and sale! had the same experience! that and going in to a dealership and not being desperate
I use to work for a Dodge dealership and trust me I know when cars aren't moving 😂. Personsally I'd rather pay for something thats less of a headache but, those are great for performance vehicles.
This is wild. Everyone expected no cars to be around now. But with markups and interest rates it's now over supply. Looks like the Dodge dealership I went to in California in 2016. Place was loaded.

I wanted one so bad…found a sxt model with 12k for a a car with 136k miles, i skipped getting a charger entirely…I happen to be at the ridge place at the right time, bought an 05 Acura TL for $1000, no car payments
They are Loaded with cars because those Ridiculous markups,But honestly There isn't a car there that I would even pay msrp for ,because Dodge got carried away before the dealerships the past couple years....I get it that in today's times msrp is the new decent deal ,I'm paying msrp for my 1LE ,But my car even with the increases is a whole lot more car, fully loaded minus a sunroof $57,430 and that's with a big jump from 2023s ,Its a shame what has happened the past almost 3 years
These dealerships are giving lowball prices for your trade in while marking up their cars with higher interest rates. Believe it or not they are still making more money by keeping the markups this high rather than dropping prices and selling more volume.
They are selling.. there’s a reason why there are marked up. There a lot of out of state sales the normal peeps don’t see. They deal with phone calls and e-mails with all day for inquiries
For all you OGs, do you remember in early 2000 when Fast and Furious came out and everyone wanted a Mitsubishi? A freakin Eclipse ran almost 34k with the sports package and an EVO was around 50k. I m so glad I opted for gap insurance because someone rearended my car and it was totaled. I was secretly thanking that chick because I was young and dumb with $500 payments every month. I didnt know what a markup was. Now here it is 2023 and theyre doing the same thing with a brand thats marked up way over msrp and will depreciate immediately. Why would anyone buy a new scat for 64k when there are 2021 and 2022s with low miles for 41k? Its crazy
Yeap. Whats even crazier is car max trying to charge insane prices for like an acadia or a rav 4. The one near me is so full of cars there is almost walking room only on their lot.
So happy to see this cop car sitting in the lots. It means less Car jacking, less accidents, less police chases. Less idiots crashing into innocent people. No more weirdness with 6 dudes crammed into the back joyriding with no chicks. Just to be seen in one of these heaps, permanently identifies you as a lame.
HM, when they say that you have to Pay to Play, that ain’t no lie. Price them so people can afford them. Between markups and interest rates, what do they expect with their piled up inventories. You gotta keep a roof over your head and eat first before you shell out for one of these bad boys. I love these cars, no doubt about that, but come on, let’s keep it real. They used the Last Call during this last year to go out with a bang and soak us for all we’re worth. Until they wake up and smell the coffee, their lots are gonna stay full. When they get real and wake up from their dream, I’ll be waiting to do business to snag one of these goodies.
You know what’s funny hemi out of all the cars you film, do you notice nobody’s has those 300c. Man I’m still waiting but those 300 might be little more rare than people think….
Never pay mark up rates are high let the car sit the dealership got to pay the bank every month for the cars to sit you need to go back in January 24 to see if the cars are still there
They got used to the markups when cars were hard to find. Why not delete the markup because it's harder to sell cars with interest rates the way they are? I guess there's enough people coming in willing to pay an extra $25k for nothing extra? Just seems greedy to me. Once these markups go away..what...you're upside down on your loan when you can't trade in your car for less than a new car is? No thanks.
Those markups are insane, that’s the reason the cars aren’t selling
They gonna keep them cars! Markups, interest and insurance to much
That dealership is crazy with the markups, they can keep their cars and collect them for themselves.
Exactly
I pray every marked up car never sells and they’ll be forced to damn near give them way to sell ‘em!
🙏🙏🙏
That mark up is pure rip off on every level.. Black folks stop buying them, I promise they'll stop that mark up scam

I wouldn't be surprised if dealerships allow for their HCs to get stolen and claim insurance to cut their losses.
