My Abtilon is a house plant that grows as a bush and flowers about every 8-12 weeks. I live in Zone 3, so it's an indoor plant. How do I prune, keeping it bushy and flowering but not overgrown?

Hi Marianne, I live in zone 8a Texas. Can I leave my Abutilon outside in a large pot or do I need to take it in for the winter? Thanks for the informative video.

0:03 hi Marianne I live ouside Boston and my flowering maple after the summer looks like a stick, we are moving into the winter here. I have my plant inside, should I fertilize and prune now? If not what care should it get thru the winter ,water? Less light?Or wait till the spring. Velinda

I have an abuliton that is 30 years old. I just took it in for winter. Pretty hardy plant but I suspect frost would take it out. I have found it likes a large sunny window. If it doesn't get good light it will get kind of sickly over the winter, but will recover very nicely when put out after the last frost. Very beautiful plant, and really cheers up my living room in the winter. Mine is in an approximately 10 gallon pot and so stays around 4--5 feet tall.
