- A small look at my blondi (goliath birdeater), apophysis (pinkfoot goliath) and stirmi (burgundy goliath) - these spiders are amazing, and grow to a very large size indeed. I was extremely nervous when i originally picked up the apophysis at Bristol invert show in 2022 as a tiny sling.
Enjoy.

Hello great video information and rehousing and the molting Matt
Thanks mate, so lucky to catch it twice
Another brilliant video again from Mathew gray beard
Glad you enjoyed it
Oh and your moulting time-lapse are awesome ❤
Thanks 🤟🏼 very lucky to catch ‘em
Another great video Matt went really well nice calm rehousing
Thanks Mark. Glad it was drama free 😂
Hi Matt, hope you’re doing well and staying warm.
Wow wow WOW! What a great video. Loved the rehousings! Super chill rehouse, they were so laid back.
Then the molt video, same spider, nearly the same time, a year on… and to catch them on camera 😆 How special is that?!
Take care and have a great weekend 😊😊
Hi Joanne, yes very special indeed to catch him twice. Both the molts have been saved too so that’s a bonus.
Hi !! That Blondi really walked right in & out into her new enclosure 👏🏻
So I need to do a fairly substantial re-housing, anyway the funny part is I said to myself looks like I better go into re-house central for this
one !! 😂🤣😂
Yes that whole plant thing is Awesome, but !!
You definitely have to have the external lighting & it seems like most people and spiders kill the plants.
Potholes do really well with minimal lighting. 💚
WOW !! That Molt !! 🤎🤎
Hahaha rehouse central 😂
Awesome video Matt, loved the pink toe Birdeater was so pretty 😍. As a beginner, I do not want a stermi, I'm honestly scared of them. I'm actually scared of all of the Birdeater's, other than he lasiodora parahybana. 😳🤦♀️🤣 x
When I picked up my first - the apophysis (pink foot) it was a tiny sling and made me nervous for sure, so fast for their size. Always hunting etc. but as you can see they were very calm. The hairs are something else though, like fire …
Awesome video, gorgeous T's, nice setups and the molting clip was amazing
Glad you enjoyed it Dave
Theraphosa blond are nice! 🤘
Absolutely gorgeous
Awesome video Matt. I only own two of the 3 tarantulas. I don't have the T. Stermi. They are really impressive tarantulas and to me, grow fairly quickly in size. Anyway cool set ups and rehousing.
Thanks Jackie . Yeah they are a cool genus of spider for sure
Nice new enclosures Matt, gorgeous spiders ❤
I will get around to adding some theraphosa to my collection soon. My largest is the Lp.
Yeah my LP is long overdue a molt
Theraphosa are so impressive. They're beautiful and big ❤ in size and personality lol
Always wanting to hunt 🤟🏼
Nice rehouses
Thankyou
Lovely video Matt, it's a shame that the apotheosis doesn't keep its pink toes as an adult. Like the set ups, those tubs hold humidity much better for the golioths. Keep up the good work ❤
Glad you loved it. Yeah shame about apophysis, but still stunning as adults.
That was great.I have been keeping plants and moss alive since installing led grown lights before last summer . They were not expensive and seemed to do the job . They are great spiders,I only have one and funny enough I am warming up b substrate in a new enclosure for mine right now .
I need to grab a new bucket of substrate to day for some rehoused tomorrow
@@TarantulaRookie Good deal on westland topsoil at bnm this week .😉
AWESOME video mate STUNNING Ts I have a Juvie Female T.Blondi a Juvie Female T.Apophysis am setting my sights on getting a confirmed female T.Stirmi its my dream to have all three Theraphosa Goliaths just love how MASSIVE they get with each molt I bought the Apophysis as an unsexed sling turned out female that am well happy about bought the Blondi as a confirmed female well happy with her but dont feel complete without the Stirmi just waiting for a confirmed female and am snatching it lol oops just had to add them timelapse videos are AMAZING mate nice one for sharing they deserve the views and some😉👍all STUNNING Ts my fave if I have to choose is the T.Blondi due to the BEAST of a chunk they get too lol
Yes totally agree they are amazing beasts. The apophysis was bought as an unsexed sling and believe it’s female (I need a second molt to confirm). I’m considering looking for a female stirmi for a project but that’s a big commitment.
@@TarantulaRookie AWESOME Good luck with your project
nice video Matt, rehousings were smooth, thats all we can ask for tbh lol, ive had the stirmi, got as a girl, matured male lol, they are beasts, i prefer the stirmi, really for the colour and nothing else, dont know if ill bother getting another though.
I had considered parting with many others to simply make room for Theraphosa. They are beauties
@@TarantulaRookie oh i agree, the sheer size of them is amazing in itself, they truly are the Kings and Queens in the hobby.
