Part 8 is definitely my favorite look, but I've never understood how the axe mark is in the same exact spot given that this is a completely new mask that he stole from the kid in the beginning who was trying to scare his girlfriend. There are some pretty big inconsistencies between all the masks from movie to movie, and I can forgive all of them, but for some reason this one bugs me lol. And nobody ever mentions it.

I'm getting a Jason hood made by Steve Bellamy myself. Communication with him was great. Really cool guy. I'm going with a Freddy vs. Jason style hood, except I'm having him paint it in a normal flesh tone. Planning on doing my own personal interpretation of Jason at San Diego Comic-Con this year and I'm really stoked for the finished product that Steve is making and being able to wear it with the custom hock I made.
Absolutely amazing! Great job! Your body for that costume is *dead on! Can't stress that enough it's people like you and me that know every scene from the Friday the 13th series! But in part 6 it was pretty hard to see his eyes I would say? Part 7 too. Great job man!

Josh is a great artist indeed I like his work. Brad Miller is another great artist in which whom I got my Jason costumes from (parts 6 & 7). The "human" Jason has a classic look and is nice indeed. I prefer the "zombie" Jason's 6, 7, 8 because it kicks up Jason's appearance up a notch. And that being mainly part 7 the New Blood Jason. The highly detailed, flesh, and bone exposed makes for a more menacing and dark Jason. Like I said "human" Jason is nice but to me it's more of a plain clothed killer wearing a hockey mask where as the zombie is more like a horrifying monster. Kinda like comparing Norman Bates to Michael Myers the way I see it.
I think I've commented on this video before but that Part 8 Hock is outstanding! I bought some when they first became available in 2000 and even from David Miller who has the molds. The unique oval shape of the part 8 is something only I can tell imo. This one is perfect!
Your costume looks awesome! Going by the part 8 I used to have from Brad you could maybe add some extra latex pieces to serve as moss on the exposed areas and and arms. That way it's not a flat latex piece and has the appearance of the detail like in the film. It would be something just to do for now until like you said Josh makes the silicone sleeves. I may have to look into that as I plan on getting another JTM myself.

I just got a hood from the Devils latex (from part 4) and they didn't cut it up the back. I noticed from the back pic you had the hood on without cutting it - or was this a different photo? I'm afraid of destroying the hood by cutting it myself - but as far as I can tell there's no way of getting it on without the cut. - so if u did cut yours can u tell me how far up the back you went? If you didn't cut it - can u tell me how the hell you got it it on? Thanks!!
Box Office Maniacs Those hoods are a task to get on, especially the Part 4 one. I always apply a little bit of baby powder to the inside of the neck and lower jaw portion. Then I pat my own head with a little powder as well. Makes it tons easier as the latex will glide over your skin a bit better and not stick nearly as much. To answer your other question; yes that's the same pic. I never cut them.

i did my research by looking at the skin tones on the part 8 jason and i found out that the skin ain't just grey it also has a little bit of yellow on the skin but you can hardly see it.
do you have tips on how to look taller? I am only 5'6 but i have the right body type. I feel discouraged trying to put on the costume because im so short.
frank bad Try some lifts. Search "height increasing insoles". A couple people who I've had stand in for Jason have worn them to appear taller and they've worked really well.
