I had a 19 Impreza sport. Always complain how slow, noisy it is. But drove thru a 1000km round trip during snow strom few week ago. Man, its a beast in the snow.
Benson Chong. I’ve test driven a 18 Forester and 19 Crosstrek. While they certainly are no race cars, I felt like they had sufficient power for most conditions.. honestly they both had a bit more power than I expected but maybe I would feel differently if I had driven them for a longer period of time and not just a test drive. I didn’t think either of them were excessively noisy either but maybe that’s because I drive cars that are 20+ years old and have developed some clunks and rattles overtime causing some noise😂
Are there any real benefits of a boxer engine versus an industry standard inline 4? I've never really heard any good things about boxer engines and it seems like Subaru is putting them in just because it's part of their history.
That CVT is great until you push it and starts fake shifting. I've never experienced anything more irritating than a Subaru's fake CVT shifts. Subaru engineers had the brilliant idea of taking a technology that can give you the exact amount of power you want from the engine and put it to wheels smoothly and without interruption, and then specified operation that interupts power, induces shift shock, and briefly kicks the engine out of the power band. And the gas pedal is too touchy, rant over.
@@stevenyia2778 I have a 17 forester and can confirm what clover said is pretty accurate. What's ignorant? How can an opinion be ignorant? there's no right or wrong.
@Andy Brian To be honest, I've never had experience with a new Subaru. When I was a child (2000s) my father had 2 Subaru GL, but they were old (from the 80s), so.
It is a nice car except the cvt. I really wonder that why Japanese cars still use cvt. There may be comfort driving but definitely far from driving pleasure for me.

6:16 lol, what a crazy Tundra 😂
IKR dang
Freaking love these Tundras! Especially other Toyota 4X4'S
I was wondering what is the backsound of the engine? Its sounds like a turbo, but the car dont have it. Is this the CVT working?

Yeah well that’s what happens when people want to complain that the cvt feels “weird” compared to an automatic
Another ignorant opinion from RUclips gotta love it

great reliable car, love it
Oh man I miss the smokies, haven’t been there in almost 7 years now.

Why does the engine sound so loud? It sounds like an already old car.
The Subaru cars pipeing alot of fake noise
@@gapman1900 no Subaru does not pipe in anything, it’s just from the lack of sound insulation

CVT.
Probably because of the camera quality

When it comes to design, the Japanese stopped in one place. Tragedy.
What a waste of a road.
cvt and slow compared to competitors. jerky feeling, lag, etc.. paired with AWD horrible MPG compared to vehicles in it's class.
Ohh c'mon.. you could get one of those with a 6 speed manual.
