35-36 degress of timing and only 94 octane ... I run 110 or 112 on race day with my 390ci stroker 13:6:1. And throw that octane boost additive in the garbage run a good fuel and not risk detonating. 🇨🇦🏁
This is only a 10-1 440. I don’t use octane boost normally, I was just going to add some because I put in regular gas to top it up. I don’t think race gas will give me any benefit with only 10-1. I like to keep things simple/cheaper. Lol. Is yours a stroked small block? What is it in? Thx
@@deankallstrom1968 I hear you , It just gives a wide window for tuning and its more forgiving to hot temps and knock on hot days. Even 110 in your motor I bet you pick up a tenth or even a bit more and will stay consistent , pump gas is anything but consistent. Yeah it started life as a 318. It's a pretty stout little motor revs to the moon.
