There was so many things that made me smh in this video I had to come to the comments section 🤦🏻♂️. He used a grade pole to set the pipe alright cool. And he went a kinda deep to set the gravel but alright cool, but then he let the excavator push the pipe in and create a bend to the previous pipe. So now if that creates backflow ur going to have to go fix that one too and then come back and make sure this ones set to grade. Bro just advice (don’t have to take it), but a Bar with a 2x4 (so you doesnt damage the bevo) works a lot better and faster. If it’s RCP or something else your laying I understand. But for PVC just use a bar.
I just set the Spigot end right inside the beginning of the bell and stab it myself by using my body weight don’t need a machine to stab pipe this light tbh

We almost broke "another bell" and u had dirt in pipe. Ground guy needs to step up before you call yourself pipelayer. Dont be scared to tell lil hand signals dont always respond as fast
If I laid pipe like that when I was doing it, I would have been sent packing! no pipe laser? I used to be able to watch the laser dot on the bucket to get the rough grade then have him line the trench with stone and set the grade with the pole and moving the stone with my boot have the top guy slide me a length of pipe get it started in the bell and home it from the bell end with a bar and put the target in it and bullseye it and give him the sign to stone it in place its good these guys are like the bad news bears of sewer main construction lmao!
I agree.... that has to be the worst display of pipe laying I have ever seen, slow as hell and sloppy work I’ve never seen anyone grade pipe like that, they have to be out of business by now, guys this is not how you lay mainline.... I could have layed 16 meters in the time it took them to lay 4 meters,
Trevor Hollman I agree completely. Single stacked trenchbox that top man puts it down by hand and you sling it on your should and roll. Send that shit in with a digging bar
