I enjoy all your videos, but the recent ones using homemade equipment look like way more fun. And Gatze makes a great side-kick for the adventures.
@hawkeye2001 don't know if u know that he has own channel buckshot prospectsor
That laminar flow across the board in slow motion is sooooo satisfying. 😎👍
You guys are by far the most entertaining prospecting show out there.
They should make a cartoon about you two. Your both a funny as together!🤣😂🤣
Chris, you've now told us 3 or 4 times that you gotta beat that Matt after it's dried out...but I don't believe you've showed us that process yet. Keep on keeping on
Hey Chris, you are on point about how many people that are so afraid of failure that they never even try? Every aspect of life is learned one way or another so expanding one's knowledge should be a life long adventure!!! You and Gaddzee are two hard working dude's , Cheers Mate
Nothing better than using homemade prospecting equipment on the creek 😎
Awesome video and advice 👍
Best gold content on RUclips. The jokes and culture is unbeatable.
Great video Chris, prospecting is something I’ve always wanted to do but most of my life with almost anything I want to do I was being told nope no money in that, but I truely wonder where I’d be if I had just gone with my gut and done at least one of those things so now I’m almost over the hill I’m prospecting and while it definitely will not replace what I earn in my job I am having fun, getting fit and preparing for the day I can afford to retire and finally do some of the other things I’ve wanted to do, all of which could have made me a lot of money but am happy enough to use them to make retirement a little more comfortable, maybe or maybe I should just try retiring early a practice run and if the practice run works out I’ll just keep on keeping on doing what I love to do 😁 cheers 🍻
I have been watching your videos for few years now and I love how you always have fun with what you're doing and how you convey that fun to us. Thank you and keep up the great work.
The secret to getting help at Bunnings is to call the store number while you're in the isle at the store. They generally come to you quicker.
You built a wall……..out of a log……..without your “branch manager” 😂🐶
Love the mega sluice and the comedy and the gold takes👍👍
Wow that was a way bigger amount than I thought. Always surprised with that big sluice.
Apple dumpling gang was mine as a kid in the 90s
ThankQ Chrisco Gadzee for the fun in the sun while digging for gold. ❤👏👍🏻🙏☝🏻
Home-made bodgie stuff??? Bloody brilliant. Keep 'em coming, please. Hows about taking suggestions on what to build next???
Hey mate, I laugh every time when you and Gadzee go prospecting! Keep up the great videos! Cheers Mates.
Your statement about trying to do something hit home, and it actually involves you. I watched one of your videos when you were doing a clean up, and you pointed out the difficulty of removing the black sand, and how much trouble it gave you panning, and I had an idea pop up that I really think would work. I've gotten the equipment I needed, but have been sitting around not working on it. I am going to put the thing together, and test it as best I can, then I will contact you and let you know how it works. If it works the way I'm thinking it should work, I think you might be interested. You might stop cursing black sand even.😅
Love watching the homemade equipment in action. You should make a comfortable yoke out of aluminum. It would save your arms well carrying buckets.
Hi Chris, I notice that you are lucky that everywhere you go the gravel bars are easy to dig up. In Western Washington where I dig , the gravel is filled with fist to head sized rocks that are packed hard and need to be pried up with pick or shovel using my boot to pry over.
Thanks for sharing Chris.
Making my own sluice box and other things is so rewarding, and finding the materials roadside shopping makes it affordable lol.... Thanks for the video Chris
Cheers mate 👍🤓✌️
Because of you I have built "The Gold Digger 9000". It'll suck the chrome off a bumper. A hand bilge pump converted to a modular dirt sucker.
Chris, you're a freaking LEGEND mate. Love ya
👍thumbs up to the mega sluice
Great results mate! I like it, keep on crushing it!
DIY equipment works, glad you got your confidence! Nice work!
Thank you for the adventure. Its nice to watch two friends having a good day prospecting "down under" and learning me something!
I absolutely love this channel. Hello from Oregon 👋🏻
Aaaaaah yes the good old fashion meat scoop. Absolutely 50 meters. That sluice is perfection.. i love it. Great show brother thank you fir sharing. This video was awsome
Cool setup and having fun. Yeah
i certainly didnt expect that intro 🤣
Oooh lots of gems in with those golds
I recommend instead of putting your mat wedges under screws, add some fixed blocks to wedge under. It ill last a lot longer.
I'm a toolmaker/fitter/machinist with around 20 years exp. across a lot of different fields from aerospace to electrical and would gladly consult with you for free. I'm somewhat medically retired now but love to share knowledge and tips and help design stuff. I've had a keen interest in gold mining since Gold Rush started on Discovery. I watch Bering Sea Gold as well. I often look at their equipment and see ways to improve it and believe I have a good understanding of how it all works.
One of my dreams is to one day go up to Alaska and see what I can do. I have the knowledge, just not the health, or the money yet.
I love your commentary!!!😊
Awsome work guys both of you make an enjoyable watch and very educational
Cheers maN
Absolutely love your "home-made stuff" videos - this was a super enjoyable one...can't say I agree on Bedknobs tho! Keep the content coming!
Well done., thank you.
Making a tool rather than running to the store and buying it is very satisfying.
Like your huge homemade sluce box! It really works great! Love these videos!
I really like what you’re doing!👍👍
Love the support you talk 🙂 I get a kick out of watching the mega sluice 😂🤙👍
Glad the beard has made a come back! Gotta go dan hurd style!
Bed knobs and broom sticks was one of my all time favorite movies as a kid
Nicely done brother ✊🫡
I will never not chuckle at the colour gags.
Man I love your channel! And you!! First thing out of the gate, “Bedknobs & Broomsticks” is the best movie ever!… I love it!
Chris, yes 48 meters is 50 meters when carrying two full buckets !
I LOVE 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks'!!!!!!
hearing you Aussies saying meters is pleasing my ears :D
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that you and Gadzee rival Dan Hurd and Pioneer Pauly as most entertaining prospecting channels.. and that’s saying something.. keep it up, boys! 🙂🙂👍
I agree bed knows and broomsticks quality film and another fantastic video
Nice one Brother
awesome haul
Nice 1 bud like the way u think keep up the good work.👍⚒️🏴
Got to add vogus to horse shoe"s and hand granades! Cause that close enough!!!😂😂😂 5:07
You almost need a motorised wheelbarrow to truck your dirt to the creek
Great vid as always
@ 11:40, I remember your member portal being open.
I am surprised you didn't cut down a dare bottle to use as a scoop...
I love your videos and would love to have a crack at this.
You are the Freddy Dodge of Reedy creek 😂 Great vid thanks
I wish! Id have a bigger shovel then
Cant argue - Bedknobs and Broomsticks IS the best movie ever.
Got me making a 20 foot carpet gutter
You had me at"lamellar flow." Show me the gold, McGuire!
Laminar. And as such, expecting Destin to show up anytime now...🤗🤗🤣
great content
Maybe you could make a little tipping cradle for your buckets so it is easier to scrape out onto your sluice.
Dear Sir,
I, like most people of my age, was born in the ‘80s, and therefore fondly remember the film “Flight of the Navigator”. This, not Broomknobs and Stickbeds, is the best Disney film of all times. Not only does it feature the first use of reflection mapping in cinema history, it also features a cute young Sarah Jessica Parker before she looked like a shoe.
Yours etc.,
Rear Admiral Sir Archibald Q. Hincklebottom OBE (Mrs)
Good stuff. Go the home made 😁👍
In Canada 🇨🇦, 2 things here both illegal, a ground sluice for 1, & 2: if the water you are releasing has a heavier silt load than the water 💧 it is being released into, big no no. However, the idea of classifying the paydirt beforehand could be really useful for the same reasons as given. At $2600/ounce not a bad day.
X communication ....go Chris that gold is incredibly pretty
Great fun
😎👍
Hey Chris 🙌
I see your roughing it
Nice, may see you on X. I visit on occasion.
Nice mauve buckets
DUDE! Make a mini hopper and feeder battery powered, so you can feed that sucker while you test pan/dig more. Shit now i want to build it too.
You should build a sifter similar to what archeologists use to screen material.
11:45 the aluminum strip is called metal -mate. That's the most Australia brand ever. Would be like dude or guy where mate was in the US
Hello, this is my great friend 👍
Hey I have that wood watch! Nice
. . . are you old enough to have seen Bed-knobs and Broomsticks, mate?.
I watched that in the theater in 1975 on my ninth birthday !.
It's my favourite movie. I've seen it every year as a minimum. Weekly as a kid.
Yo I only found your channel a few days ago and liked what you do.
Now that I have seen your Pokemon socks, that's worth a follow!
Ever thought about panning in the creeks around mount Morgan?
Wow, 0,68 is a lot in that much dirt... good spot...
Everyone needs a Gadzee when prospecting to keep moral high
I would say the thing that you are doing is wrong but I've never sluiced gold and i just enjoy the videos and I'm not here to hate so i guess I won't do that. Have a nice day Mr. Chris
3:07 rule is always ‘closest, but not over’; so Chris wins!
But importantly “what’s that got to do with my knob?”
To solve your dispute over the distance, I propose the invention of a new system of measurement: the Vo-Gus system
(Forget metric this will be the best)
The laminar flow shot in beginning sequence beautiful but ... I'm going with our generation almost always uses the "price is right" rules of the person that gets closest without going over . So no 48 isn't 50 lol so senior sweat pants wins
That's what she said!!!!😂
Nice gold in the mega sluice enjoy all your videos ⚒️🇺🇸🕳️⛏️
i have used meat scoops on order, have a wonderful day!
Agree.
Good thing to do is to re-scoop the sluice at the dropping point of the sluice box..
We used to get a lot from there..
Aaah gadzee never argue distance with a successful archer
I have interest in knowing what was in your screened waste? ... water classify your screen waste into a pan and find out if gold is sticking to the rocks, then calculate a loss percentage with what you get from the sluice.
It's Mister Drippy to you Buckshot...
I did not know you were so tall. my regular stride is only 30" (76 cm}, but I 'm only 6' tall (182 cm). For me, 48 paces would only be approximately 38.5 meters!
MEGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a paceing trick to getting much closer to an accurate distance. Find a 100 meter distance. Like roadpullards(?). Now walk the distance with normal stride and pace. And count the steps ...obviously... im 120 steps to 100m myself. Then its simple math.
Is that reedy creek near Gladstone Queensland ? If so it’s near me.
