you have to put both sides first by sliding each to the end, then use a trim tool to push the metal tab behind the under the trim, do it from both ends going to the middle.
Just to clarify, that aluminum c channel piece that was removed with the needle nose pliers is a remnant of the trim being replaced? So it is not needed for installing the replacement? Excuse the silly question but just clarifying before diving in
i used a heat gun to try soften the mould so i could fit it in with less force. truck on highway spinning rocks up at everyone behind. nasty small crack got big as weather changed
😞 I’m very upset with myself a year later and I still haven’t done this. But I’ve been dealing with eccentric shaft position sensor failure with no codes also, a Leakey valve cover gasket. Also as of yesterday a failing alternator. Things are going great id say…. 🤨
9:20, freaking lost it laughing at your absolute dissapointment when it broke
As usual, useful video
Good to see King standing guard while you replace windshield seals

Looks great again. I did my e93 a while ago. By your instructions and it came out great. Thanks for that video. Dutch regards, Nico.
On my e90 both front and rear is completely falling apart will change it thanks to your video 👍
Thanks for sharing! Is it possible to roll the new windscreen mould for easy transport in suitcase?
Unfortunately not
I can only imagine the pain of cracking the windscreen removing that metal strip
the part number is that for all year E90 335i?
you’re supposed to put one side on and kind of bend it into a U shape then slide the other side on and it should fit on perfectly

Yes it is part of the mould, however it is in the new mould as well. Just when the rubber is fresh you can't actually see the metal.

I recommend using a rubber valve stem on an electric drill to help remove old rubber from the paint without damaging it.
I'm just in the middle of doing it now, and it's being a pain. You think it's in then all of a sudden it pops off
I've got the front and rear windscreen molds from my e92, can they both be replaced without without without removing the glass?
I missed this!!! Stupid youtube has put loads of comments in to spam folder and not been showing them. Sorry dude!
Did this on my e39 a while back, pretty much the same thing but 23 years old so it took ages to get it all out😂
🥇
Shat myself when the trim let go on removal. 😂
Here for the ASMR tape pull! Lol
happy to see u bro
Will it leak if its cracked like that?
No this is actually just a dust/cosmetic seal. The water seal is under the windscreen.
Wherecan i buy it?

Thanx! 😃 👍 👌
I need to do this on my e90 ASAP.
