    To everyone about to get fired in DC:
    "Learn to code"

      @johnclark6064 what they want is to get rid of administrative apparatus in the government. You rely every day on this administrative apparatus to make sure that the water you drink isn't toxic or the house you live in is built by code and doesn't use toxic materials that will make you and your family sick with cancer. Federal employees check on local governments and developers to make sure that proper health and safety procedures are followed. Without that your life will be cut in half. That's just one example of what federal government does for you. There is so much work being done behind the scenes to make sure you don't get screwed by the profit and business class. That's why they want to get rid of the federal employees. So they can make more money by cutting corners and doing things faster at detriment to the environment health and safety.

Second, I know for a fact administrative leave can be longer than a year. The guest is definitely slanted to the left. I cannot speak for legalities of the effort. We shall see. "...I don't think we will see a measurable effect if five to ten percent of federal workers accept this sham offer," Seth Harris pointed out. Later, he continues, "I think this is going to be a disaster for the American people." He also insists, "There is no good argument for down-sizing the federal government." Such a clear-headed perspective that is also in touch with the thinking of the public. To notice that a trivial development will nevertheless still constitute a true disaster represents some serious mental gymnastics. This interview should be reposted on April first.

    As a federal employee i can say there are too many federal employees it should be reduced

  • @fred1barb
    @fred1barb 8 часов назад

    Existing regulations do not allow for buyouts. There is a provision for severance pay when you are dismissed in a reduction in force. Management does not have the authority to put employees on extended administrative leave. Resignations normally can be withdrawn at will unless the agency has filled your position or by formal action eliminated your position. A hiring freeze would not prevent an employee from withdrawing a resignation. As a former HR manager, this plan is not grounded in reality. It appears to be the idea of people who do not understand the actual work of the civil service.

    This guy is clueless about how a severance works. It is an offer. These employee can accept it or not. But the opposition(your guest) just believes that Government is indispensable. Most Federal employees are narrow minded and their first commitment is to make money for the Government to fund their jobs. Remember that government employees creates nothing, they only spend money for a process, they rarely answer question correctly and the courts have said as much. AI will replace 50-80% of them eventually. Also, if I was one of those employees who clocks in for 8 hours and puts in 3-5 hours of work per day, I would take this deal. This may be their only chance.

    I think it’s absolutely unacceptable to continue his business as usual without any sort of oversight accountability or downsizing. Government transparency has been not existent for the past 50 to 60 years. I think that an actual bio offer needs to be made with clear terms and conditions in an actual legally binding contract with a certain amount offered as a severance. Just like border is gonna cost money I think downsizing the governments gonna have a cost as well, but it’s gonna be worth it overall. Instead of having an inefficient oversized government, we should have inefficient small government that can delegate to state government.
