Kash Patel, President Donald Trump's nominee to serve as the FBI director, will testify at his confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The senate confirmation hearing for FBI director will begin at 7:30am ET.
Kash Patel has been a long time supporter of President Donald Trump. He's an American lawyer and former federal prosecutor in the Department of Justice under the Trump administration. Patel is nominated to succeed Christopher Wray, also appointed or nominated by President Trump.
Patel has seen some controversy for his comments on prosecuting politicians and for his comments on January 6th defendants and actions.
