That last video was great, and this one is too. THANK YOU for exploring both PC2 and elitism in Sim-Racing. I've got issues with PC2's Force Feedback & AI, but that doesn't mean it should be completely written off as it often is, and having grown up with GT2, I always appreciate it when a Racer builds personality with its menus and music. @@NikRomanoRacing Well I told you about it already, I just have this tendency to rewatch videos and wanted to point it out to Raycevik as mine was probably buried. But it does make a huge difference, I could suddenly feel all the small setup changes and catch slides. I'm still pretty shit at drifting, and think AC might still be better for that, but it's possible in PC2 to catch slides. It came too late for Project CARS 3 though, which is doing a 180 and marching off into arcade lala-land. After all, simulation means approximating real world behavior in a virtual environment as good as possible, yet when you start to temper with the laws of Physics so you always have perfect grip for gameplay purposes you are no longer creating a simulator but rather an arcade game with a carefully selected amount of simulated fundamentals. So yeah, not enough sales had them selling the studio to Codemasters and figuring out new ways to make a better buck. All fine but it just isn't Project Community Assisted Racing Simulator anymore. No community was involved and simulation isn't the goal, leaving only racing. So yeah, Project R is what it should be called.

PC2 forces you to drive race cars. Its focus on racing culture and discipline is top notch. I really appreciate that the game shows that racing is more than about reaching the podium every race. To win you gotta put the work and the laps in. I've played most sims AC, RRE, RF2 and PC2 does the best in getting you up and racing in no time. For everything you get out of the box plus a couple dlcs makes it one of the best values in sim racing.
Thanks for making this video. I agree 100%. Former SCCA D production driver here and, other than the vintage cars having modern tires, I’ve always found PC2 to be really enjoyable and realistic (and to fix those vintage cars, all you have to do is drive with the “All Terrain” tires).
@@NikRomanoRacing Try the AMS2 Vintage cars. They are absolutely superb since some update. Just tested them on the Nordschleife in the beta and they just rock, even the Gen. 1, which was awful understeering once.
@@NikRomanoRacing It certainly will be, since it feels to me like the essence of pCars 2, AMS, rF2 and AC or is fixing all stuff that is bad in pCars 2. The tyre-model in pCars 2 got way too forgiving with the updates, especially regarding heat. On release it was more like AC and it needed tyre-management even through a short race. You could drift a GT3-car once, but not twice in a row and generally the slicks in pCars 2 feels too soft and too forgiving, also lacking FFB. Cars in AMS2 are soft and forgiving or stiff and unforgiving depending on the car, but I always feel in control and confident until i loose control mostly because of over-confidence, overcooking tyres or both. There is a healthy margin for errors unlike in AC in many cars, but not too much like in pCars 2.
god... thank you sir. I remember reading all the hate on reddit regarding pc2. And well I deleted the game, thinking it was bad. I loved it so much though. thanks to you im happy again as I will return to my favourite sim racing game :)
I play every Sim I get the money to buy, and still haven't wasted the amount that it's needed to race one series in iRacing, as Jimmy said when iRacing started the tire model revamp, we "We had bricks for tires before" lol
Seriously! How does this not have 10x more views!??!?!! I hate the youtube algorithm but love your videos! Funny yet really informative and a breath a of fresh air perspective on the sim racing elitist.
I personally prefer AC for the feeling and sounds. But boy PC2 is seriously impressive with its weather and day night cycle systems. AND IT DOESN'T NEED ROCKET SCIENCE TO CREATE A PRIVATE GAME BETWEEN FRIENDS.
I tried AC, ACC, Raceroom, PC2 amongst other sims. The ones I really enjoy are ACC and PC2 for the driving model. I do have complaints about PC2 tho : -the penalty system ! (that can be turned off ) - the kerbs being whatthefuckityfuck on some parts - some lack of balance between cars in the same category ( you show the Group A in this vid, the skyline is SO OP in there. ), then that also can be fixxed by banning the use of a particular car in a championship. But the racingi in champs I commentate / participate in is just amazing and I had incredible battles on this game, which is, in the end, what we want, to have fun battle for positions. PS: I do know it's logical to have "OP cars" in categories if their real life counterparts were also OP. but still, makes everyone choose the same car if you don't stop them from doing so.

Also, if I look by gametime, PC2is the only one I got more than 1000 hours on XD oh another thing I don't really like, we can't rock multiple custom liveries for the same car unless we use a mod
I do agree about kerbs, they are a bit hard to deal with sometimes, and customer liveries would be a great addition. I have a comment somewhere in here about my ideal racing game, add Forza livery maker and Photoshop imports to that list.
Project cars 2 was my first sim racing game and i hated it till i played it for about 2 years and started to get decent with it. I only use controller and ive tried it on a wheel totally feels different but I prefer a controller. Project cars 2 is definitely one of my favorite racing games of all time. F1 2020 is always gonna be number 1 for me tho😂
Wow great video. PC2 is my favorite race game. In fact before I tried PC2 on a rift s, I did not care all that much about racing. Three weeks after trying it, I had bought a TSPC wheel and pedals. And In a few months it's going to be a DD wheel, with proper pedals and a HP Reverb G2. Even not taking the realism in to account. Things like the racing engineer had made it much easier for me to understand tuning the setup. It introduced me to cars I never though I would like. Just the level of detail of everything is insane. It's just a joy to sit in some cars an drive. I will often drive a slower car in a multi class race and smile as the LMP cars scream past me.
That's awesome! As an avid race fan and car guy, I'm happy PC2 was able to bridge that gap for you and bring you into the dark side. I had a similar experience the first time I loaded into a race in VR. My friend and I picked the 1960s era Lotus F1 cars at Laguna Seca, and as soon as it popped up we just sat there staring at the incredible detail on the cars, both inside and out. I specifically remember looking at the reflections on the exposed headers on his car gridded next to me. Very cool stuff.
Great content, subscribed! I have been away from sim racing for a long time and getting back into it has been great. Pcars 1 and 2 both still feel fantastic to me, having so much fun racing in those.
So I really want to disagree with you but you made some very interesting points. You just got yourself a subscriber sir! You almost make me want to give PCars2 another chance. Almost.....
Love the video! I got PCars2 along with a few other sims (including AC) in a bundle for quite cheap, and it was the first one I tried out. I think there are a couple of big reasons why the handling gets complained about: If you're an inexperienced racer (like I was), and you find yourself in a career series like Formula C, where the first track is a cold Brno, and you've opted for the "loose" setup, you're absolutely going to have problems. In this scenario, the track is cold and the tyres never get up to temperature - which was absolutely infuriating to the point where I Google'd it, and the number of results for "Formula C has terrible handling" is quite extensive. But you know what? I wised up. I've spent nearly 200 hours in the game now, driven many different series and cars, and worked out - the default setups aren't necessarily bad, but the game doesn't necessarily choose the right tyres automatically. For example, Formula C doesn't have soft or hard slicks - only one type. So unless it's raining, it defaults to slicks regardless of track temperature. The better choice in this scenario are either sport or wet tyres. But then the next problem - I ended up significantly lowering the difficult on Formula C just so I could escape the series and get into a different car. It was only after that point, driving Group A, Clio Cup, Renault Trophy RS, Porsche Cayman, and Formula Renault, that if your throttle control isn't right... the car will do exactly what you tell it to do. These days I'm running around AI strength of 100, trying to iron out the rest of my flaws, and I am quite confident that if I put the time back into Formula C, I could be racing at a strength of 100 with the experience I've gained in around 100 hours driving time since then. I also found that driving Formula Renault actually helped me the first time I went back to a go kart track - I was posting times within 2-3 seconds of the faster on the leaderboard despite not having been there for over a year (still knew the track layout well). So obviously PCars2 is doing something right.
never comment on yt but I had to for this one finally someone whos funny actually races and gets straight to the point please make more content like this. Subbed
After putting around 1100 hours in PC2 I can agree, it's pretty good. It's a shame people can't buy it anymore. I never really understood where the narrative around it being somehow less realistic then other sims came from but I guess It all has to do with expectations. I like dynamism in cars. And yeah PC2 was one of the best at that aspect. Sometimes it can get a bit wonky and some more complex cars do not have a proper simulation for all their features. But when it comes to letting the player experience pure driving fun it is second to none IMO. If you still have PC2 in your library I and didn't give it the time of day back then I urge you to give it a try. Jump in a Group 5 car or do some rallycross, or a hotlap in the BMW M1 Procar around the Ring. If you come back from that without having a grin on your face I don't think you understand what is fun about driving.
My real life experience is ~100 races, probably 300 total track sessions and I think you're mostly accurate on PC2. I find it just slightly numb at the limit, but then all sims are compared to irl. I think rf2 and automobilista transmit the feeling of the tires a bit better, but it is a subtle difference, not huge. PC2 has some superb content however (the vintage stuff generally captures the visceral energy of a race car very well). Great intro btw.
Hey Nic, Thanks for making that video. You have totally nailed my thoughts on racing games... You enjoy what you enjoy... I'm part of a decent community that tries to show the best of each game. I still can't believe the lack of love for AMS2 but each to their own. Keep up the good work!
@@NikRomanoRacing yeah dude. If you enjoyed cars you'll really enjoy AMS2. Games are game there to enjoy... Kinda feel like Homer Simpson reviewing the restaurant's when talking about driving games. Haha
Thank you for confirming I made the right choice in going with this game for my first foray into Sim racing. Just got the Logitech wheel and pedals and a collapsible chair, and I'll upgrade in the future if this is for me.
This video and your channel are gonna blow up, always gutted when I get to the end! Spot on with the elitism, my second hand G25 still does the trick just fine :)
Hope so! I mostly use a G920, though I definitely appreciate the additional accuracy when I get to use the Fanatec 2.5 at the office...back when going to offices was a thing. I find that a better wheel matters much more for drifting than for grip driving.
@@NikRomanoRacing I drift pretty well in AC with my G29. Had no issues on a DFGT before that either (I had modded pedals though). Before that I had a Fanatec Porshe GT3 AND LOVED IT TO DEATH... until it broke. So I then had them send me a replacement... that broke. So then I bought a DFGT with modded G25 pedals. That was in 2013. It still works like new and I'm waiting on my friends to get PCs to give it them. I bought a G29 with my PC in 2018 and it also still works and is the most I think I need for now. The only issue is when drifting at 2am while my daughter and wife are asleep. It gets pretty noisy.
I completely understand the complaints in regards to polish or QoL features that are missing in pCars 2, but one complaint I've never understood is the driving itself. The vehicles behave no different than GTR 2 which was heralded as one of the greatest sims of all time, and the engine itself is a derivative of isiMotor; the team simply re-wrote enough of the engine to call it their own. Even worse, as you pointed out the people who criticize pC2 will then point to outdated, horrendous road cars on iRacing as the pinnacle of realism while a simple trip to the iRacing forums will reveal page after page of members begging iR to fix a given car because it has been broken for years and nobody races it anymore.
Just as i expected. I've never raced in a real track, but i drive cars irl too, and atleast the road cars always felt like they should in this game for me. FWD cars have understeer, but you can easily counter that by causing lift off oversteer to help rotate the car and maintain front end grip, and you can easily control RWD cars slides with proper throttle and wheel inputs. I like how race cars feel in this game, but i can't talk about those because I've never driven one irl. Edit: corrected a typing error
Well said! Would love to hear your thought on ams2 - lot of "serious" sim racers are bashing it for basicly the same reason - its too slidey and at the same time its too grippy and hard to loose controll 🤷♂️
I tried the F40 on AC and PC2. Totally different behavior, the PC2 one seems pretty unconvincing. To much grip on the rears and can't feel the turbos kicking in as in AC. In general cars in PC seem to be easier to drive fast.
It depends very much on the setup and tyres. Tweaking it to make it more precise could be the key to make the rear more lively If you're talking about the street version of the f40, i like to drive vintage cars on all terrain tyres or even on winter tyres, and they feel much more alive. But i still have to understand well the f40 setup, as i have a problem with the car suddenly gaining grip mid corner Also, bare in mind that you have never driven an f40, so you can't really know how it should behave unless you informed well by reading magazines. I remember being disappointed with the porsche 917 10 because it oversteered mid corner even on long fast corners, but after some reading i discovered that the car was doing the same thing in real life too
I just bought a g923 and I was looking for some good racing titles. I bought ac and acc and both of them got me bored pretty quick. After I tried Forza motorsport and was a pleasant surprise. But man when I started playing pc2 and felt all those beautiful things through the wheel that the previous titles couldn't give me... Pc2 is amazing and I almost didn't buy it because of idiots commenting on the internet!
Some players dont like force feedback of the game, but there are third party software to fix that, and then its pretty good. Best graphics, best immersion, best menu, best weather system, and whit the third party software it becomes pretty realistic too.
I've always loved project cars 2, I have no space for a wheel (one day) but after finding a guide online to help make controllers I found it much more enjoyable.
As you're waiting to have the space, the wheel market is really coming to you. Lots of more affordable DD options now, and of course that means lots of used Fanatec belt drives, etc.
YES YES YBSS! THANK GOD I'M NOT CRAZY! Pretty much everyone I ask says that pc2 is shit without a physics. I played it, I enjoyed it. Some parts more then others but overall it's a decent sim experience with the some pretense on good career mode. I want career good mode in racing games. I have no simracing frlends stop making those multiplayer games!! :D
I liked PC2 a lot. I used to play most of the time one track that i know and go from slowest to fastest cars and just enjoy it. Also u kinda have to know your car in PC2 and set it up pick up soft tyres and lover presure in them was basic stuff i was doing almost without thinking.
my biggest gripe with PCARS2 is the modding scene. for the life of me i can't figure out how to add mods to it but assetto makes it easy. but the weather is why i play PCARS, it just feels so good. rfactor2 as well, it's why i'm tempted to stop doing iRacing all together, aside from the obvious subscription model woes
Side note: try the EVO TME on the Rallycross tracks with some friends. That car is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 in this game. Dirtfish Mill Run, Wildcrest, Lankenbannen, etc. will be beautifully sideways with that car. It's a great combo that totally gets ignored.
If You guys ever feel like playing PC2, I am in a Discord which does the mod stuff and my channel has a dedicated Playlist which almost has all the mods ever made for this game.... ruclips.net/p/PLblolwR0ehykfEY7RCdLT-ES0_7ILQ9Zp
Thank you for bringing up the realistic handling vs realistic racing point. It's something that needs to be stated more often. When I watch F1 e-sports, or Gran Turismo e-sports, I still see high level racing, despite those games being more on the accessible/simcade side of things. The car may not be a 1 to 1 representation on how it's real life counterpart would perform but as long as the game has some semblance of a physics model which tries to imitate reality, the fundaments should apply. There's obviously some things that are going to differ from reality, like the tire strategies employed are very much a game by game thing, but the wheel to wheel racing is the same. There's also the point of immersion which I feel is underrated sometimes. Many people praise Grand Prix 4 as being the greatest F1 game ever made, and the physics model there hasn't exactly aged like wine, but the immersion is so absolute it's still a blast to play. I think PC2 did a really good job with immersion, pioneering VR in racing sims, having the first REAL attempt at a weather model (I mean, GTR2 and rFactor 2 did it before, but not with puddles and dry lines forming like in PC, etc), and so on. AMS2 inherited and perfected those aspects.
@@jorgenamnum6481 The simple version is, a video call where we watch your footage together. The more fun version is, I set up a server and we do lead/follow, etc. Depends on what software you use.
I'm late but i'm here due to randomcallsign's latest video about pc2 I've played pc2 for 400+ hours since i got it, and i've had a ton of fun with many cars in the game. Basically every car drives well, and a good portion drives very well (formula rookie, all of the gtes, ctsv gt3, g55 gt3, ginetta gt4, cayman gt4, 918 spyder, fr 3.5, speed 8, 908 spyder...). Although there are a handful i don't like (vantage gt12, vantage gt3 (although it may all be setup), xj220s, 720s, and probably some others) The main complaints i have are the ai (driving through puddles like nothing mainly, although in general they're ok), some curbs are killer and idk if it's the same irl, the ffb is inconsistent (altough generally i consider it good enough, the huracan gt3 is amazing, but then others do not give the same amount of feeling with my g29, which i know is dependent on the car, but i wish more were like that lambo), some tracks are not 100% identical to real life, and stock setups can suck ruining great cars after tweaking it (formula rookie, speed 8, fxxk, clio cup). Once you understand how to take curbs and which ones to take, you won't even notice those killer curbs on most occasions Other than these things (which are common to basically every sim to an extent), the game feels great. I always have tons of fun driving all sorts of cars, and with a setup guide which wasn't even specifically designed for pc2 (it was designed for gtr2), i can tailor the car to my likings. It saved me multiple times I guess most people won't bother tweaking them due to the complexity they have in this game, which is understandable tbh, but it's something you need to do to experience the full game Vintage cars are better when driven with all terrain tyres or even winter ones! And i'm shocked by the amount of people who don't know you can disable the automatic clutch I've seen people complain about the clio cup, and i was one of them, but after driving it with a specific setup i was shocked at how much more stable it was. The same goes for the megane tc What you describe in the sections talking about the handling of the irl cars is the exact same thing i have to do in pc2, and all feels natural Also, we all have to bare in mind that we have never driven these cars, so we don't know how they behave irl. I remember being disappointed in the 917 10 because at portimao it oversteered even in the last corner, but after some researches i discovered it was like that irl too! And, on a side note, don't rule off a car just because you've driven it once and you didn't like it. Try tweaking the setup, try adapting, try it in other circuits and conditions
Today I was watching a guy power sliding at Donington Park and his wheel input reminded me of Project Cars 2 more than any other simulator. I always praised pC2 features and gave it a hard time about the physics and the handling. I need to re-think now what are the underlying reasons pC2 doesn't feel natural to drive to me same when I drive rFactor2, AMS1 or Asseto Corsa 1 for example.
This is at least the 3rd time I've come back to rewatch this along with the ac vs iracing video, I love your humor man😂. Are you ever going to make more of this type of sim content potentially something on beamng? Or are you waiting for beamng to leave beta (though it probably never will) before you critique it?
Thank you! I don't think I'm done with this stuff, just have been so ridiculously busy with work that I haven't had time for youtube. These videos take a LONG time to make. I have written some scripts for more, just haven't gotten around to actually making them yet. BeamNG is on the list.
The only problem I see with PC2 is that the cars seem to be underpowered at high speed. For example the Nismo GT-R can normally hit 300kmh on the long straight line on Nurburgring. There's ton of videos of stock GT-Rs hitting that speed on Nurburgring however in PC2 it's impossible to go over 280kmh... Both my 2009 GT-R could go over 300 and my 2017 can also go. Tested in real life, but in PC2 it is impossible. And for people saying that I need to change setup, close radiator opening etc, that's not the issue. On a real gtr you do not have the option to close the radiator opening and you do not have to do anything to the car to be able to go 300+. It goes like that from factory.
And Automobilista 2 which uses the same SMS engine has much better car sounds, better quality tracks(lidar data or laser scanned data), much improved AI and far better ffb. Also most of the bugs pCars had are fixed now.
Been saying Pcars2 isn't bad for a long time. It's not perfect (the occasional "perpetual tank slap of death": you may catch the first 2, but it'll take 3 more tank slaps before it stops oversteering), but it's way better than the simracing community gives it credit for. I've got 230+ hours in AC, 500+ hours in DiRT Rally (1 & 2.0), untold hours in iRacing, but the one I have spent the most time in is Pcars2 (880+ hours). Reasons: amazing VR support, competent handling, amazing weather system, great "pick up and play" multiplayer, good car selection, good track selection, and a big enough player base that still races daily. You can typically find a race going on at most points in the day. The skill level of most drivers isn't anywhere near the average iRacing top split, but there are some true aliens that race here. AND... I still think the WRX cars in Pcars 2 are better than iRacing's IRX. I've flung cars around gravel roads, Pcars2 gets gravel and dirt WAAAAYYY better than IRX does. Sadly the community overlooks Rallycross. Anyway, thanks for making this.
Don't overlook rFactor 2 and stuff from Reiza, they IMO are best and most true. Glad that you find PC2 satisfying, and it is surely interesting to have someone like Nik Romano praising it too. I can not agree, to me it is just not there. Cars are drivable alright and similar to real, but there is this some kind of weird forgiveness which occasionally goes away without logical reason. I mean that thing that you just mentioned - ""perepetual tank slap of death". It is something that I noticed right away with my little time with PC2, it is perhaps reason why I just stopped with PC2... It really feels like you can do whatever you like with a car, like throwing it brutally numerous times in a row, and there will be some kind of probability that one time it will just snap away, but without any logical reason. It is like there would be some kind of probability factor of what is the chance to get away with crazy overdriving, not because tire would overheat, not because you'd use too much slip ratio and slip angle at the same time, not because aerodynamics, not because tire load management... It is like: slide1 -"congratulations, you won!", slide2 -"congratulations, you won!",...., slide6 -"congratulations, you won!", slide7 -"bad luck, try again!"
My only problem ever with PC2 was the FFB. I recently got a custom FFB file and it entirely changed the game for me and really made me actually enjoy playing it and push harder. I even started doing setups. I never do setups. The FFB strength per car can vary wildly though, which is kind of annoying. And not in a "One has power steering, one doesn't" type of way. It's like the lancer 10 is way stronger than the lancer 9 or whatever. I also really like street cars and I absolutely love that PC2 has default OEM setups for all the street cars unlike all the other sims terrible defaults. Or that it has street cars at all.
@@NikRomanoRacing I've been using Christiaan's FFB. You can find it on Race Department. It's really easy, you just drop the file in your documents and select it in game. I think for drifting AC is still better, for the dedicated meant to drift cars anyway, but it's very possible in PC2 and the FFB is WAY better.

I play every Sim I get the money to buy, and still haven't wasted the amount that it's needed to race one series in iRacing, as Jimmy said when iRacing started the tire model revamp, we "We had bricks for tires before" lol
amen
Seriously! How does this not have 10x more views!??!?!! I hate the youtube algorithm but love your videos! Funny yet really informative and a breath a of fresh air perspective on the sim racing elitist.
Cuz I'm tiny! The algo cares not for my struggles.
Glad you liked it though 😁

This channel is pure gold !!!
Man,this channel is a gem... I never even played PC2 and enjoyed it
Totally loved this video despite the fact that I'm no fan of PCars 2. Loved the narration and creativity. And you're right - enjoy what you enjoy!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Same.
I tried AC, ACC, Raceroom, PC2 amongst other sims.
The ones I really enjoy are ACC and PC2 for the driving model.
I do have complaints about PC2 tho :
-the penalty system ! (that can be turned off )
- the kerbs being whatthefuckityfuck on some parts
- some lack of balance between cars in the same category ( you show the Group A in this vid, the skyline is SO OP in there. ), then that also can be fixxed by banning the use of a particular car in a championship.
Also, if I look by gametime, PC2is the only one I got more than 1000 hours on XD
oh another thing I don't really like, we can't rock multiple custom liveries for the same car unless we use a mod
6.31 Absolutely brilliant, PMSL! i love Pcars2 with Popsracers FFB files! Subbed and liked mate 👌
Very cool stuff.
dude, great video. I 100% agree with you. now lets do a time attack HWY 1 event in PC2 in a 80s muscle car.
Yessss. It's not quite Forza levels of automotive creativity, but at least there's a lot of variety.
Great content, subscribed! I have been away from sim racing for a long time and getting back into it has been great. Pcars 1 and 2 both still feel fantastic to me, having so much fun racing in those.
would love to hear your take on PC2 vs AMS2
So I really want to disagree with you but you made some very interesting points. You just got yourself a subscriber sir! You almost make me want to give PCars2 another chance. Almost.....
Boom. Thank you!
Subbed
i love you
After putting around 1100 hours in PC2 I can agree, it's pretty good.
I do find myself increasing the FFB in PC2 vs. AC, so I'd say I agree.
@@NikRomanoRacing Hi love your vids! If AC is a 9 in realism what do you rate GT Sport?
@@jonitalia6748 Thanks! I'd say maybe a 5 or 6.

Hey Nic,
Thanks for making that video. You have totally nailed my thoughts on racing games... You enjoy what you enjoy... I'm part of a decent community that tries to show the best of each game. I still can't believe the lack of love for AMS2 but each to their own.
Keep up the good work!
I need to try AMS2 soon. It's build from the same engine as PC2, with some tweaks. I have a feeling I'll love it.
You're welcome! Enjoy the ride.
Haven't tried GTR 2, but it seems like the hivemind of the sim racing community just likes to condemn certain games.
he was the hero we needed but not the one we deserved
Just as i expected. I've never raced in a real track, but i drive cars irl too, and atleast the road cars always felt like they should in this game for me. FWD cars have understeer, but you can easily counter that by causing lift off oversteer to help rotate the car and maintain front end grip, and you can easily control RWD cars slides with proper throttle and wheel inputs. I like how race cars feel in this game, but i can't talk about those because I've never driven one irl.
Edit: corrected a typing error
We need more of this sim content. You nail it mate 👍
Bruh this video is a masterpiece
You're a masterpiece.
Tweaking it to make it more precise could be the key to make the rear more lively
If you're talking about the street version of the f40, i like to drive vintage cars on all terrain tyres or even on winter tyres, and they feel much more alive. But i still have to understand well the f40 setup, as i have a problem with the car suddenly gaining grip mid corner
Also, bare in mind that you have never driven an f40, so you can't really know how it should behave unless you informed well by reading magazines. I remember being disappointed with the porsche 917 10 because it oversteered mid corner even on long fast corners, but after some reading i discovered that the car was doing the same thing in real life too

I have to wait for another PC 2 sales I guess.

Hehe thanks. I had my laptop next to the camera, but got dam was that hard to do.
I'm late but i'm here due to randomcallsign's latest video about pc2
I've played pc2 for 400+ hours since i got it, and i've had a ton of fun with many cars in the game. Basically every car drives well, and a good portion drives very well (formula rookie, all of the gtes, ctsv gt3, g55 gt3, ginetta gt4, cayman gt4, 918 spyder, fr 3.5, speed 8, 908 spyder...). Although there are a handful i don't like (vantage gt12, vantage gt3 (although it may all be setup), xj220s, 720s, and probably some others)
The main complaints i have are the ai (driving through puddles like nothing mainly, although in general they're ok), some curbs are killer and idk if it's the same irl, the ffb is inconsistent (altough generally i consider it good enough, the huracan gt3 is amazing, but then others do not give the same amount of feeling with my g29, which i know is dependent on the car, but i wish more were like that lambo), some tracks are not 100% identical to real life, and stock setups can suck ruining great cars after tweaking it (formula rookie, speed 8, fxxk, clio cup). Once you understand how to take curbs and which ones to take, you won't even notice those killer curbs on most occasions
Other than these things (which are common to basically every sim to an extent), the game feels great. I always have tons of fun driving all sorts of cars, and with a setup guide which wasn't even specifically designed for pc2 (it was designed for gtr2), i can tailor the car to my likings. It saved me multiple times
I guess most people won't bother tweaking them due to the complexity they have in this game, which is understandable tbh, but it's something you need to do to experience the full game
Vintage cars are better when driven with all terrain tyres or even winter ones!
And i'm shocked by the amount of people who don't know you can disable the automatic clutch
I've seen people complain about the clio cup, and i was one of them, but after driving it with a specific setup i was shocked at how much more stable it was. The same goes for the megane tc
What you describe in the sections talking about the handling of the irl cars is the exact same thing i have to do in pc2, and all feels natural
Also, we all have to bare in mind that we have never driven these cars, so we don't know how they behave irl.
I find myself turning the FFB up a little in PC2 compared to AC, but really that's it.
This video made my night take my sub
thank you i use them for sustenance
Did anyone else notice, the kerbs feel much more normal when you disable or turn TC way down (experience on LMP2)?
This is at least the 3rd time I've come back to rewatch this along with the ac vs iracing video, I love your humor man😂. Are you ever going to make more of this type of sim content potentially something on beamng? Or are you waiting for beamng to leave beta (though it probably never will) before you critique it?
Thank you! I don't think I'm done with this stuff, just have been so ridiculously busy with work that I haven't had time for youtube. These videos take a LONG time to make. I have written some scripts for more, just haven't gotten around to actually making them yet. BeamNG is on the list.
@@NikRomanoRacing I am back once again six months later to rewatch this masterpiece! Eta on a new video?

When I heard that intro... I got so excited.
Bob Ross is a national treasure.
Hi great vid, this is my favorite PS4 racer. Which regular road car do u find most realistic? For me it’s the Jaguar F-Type Coupe.
Omg this intro was amazing
I've still never tried any of the custom FFB files. One of these days.
