Happy Mother's Day! Had to laugh at your chick peas story. The same thing happens to me quite often only with beans. I will check my cabinet a couple of times prior to shopping and when I'm ready to finally cook the beans I know I saw are not there! Glad I'm not the only one who encounters this.
