    Thank you for testing, Ceramic Spray Sealant! When people test Ceramic Spray Sealant they often times forget that it is a part of our "system", where you have a base of one of our coatings, Ceramic Spray Sealant is applied every 3 months or so, and AMPLIFY is applied as a drying aid every wash. At a minimum, the system would be Ceramic Spray Sealant as your base, and AMPLIFY is used to maintain it. These two are a system and are made to complement each other, where one falls short the other helps it excel. AMPLIFY adds insane slickness, deep darkening, and gloss, and extends durability without affecting the hydrophobics of the base Ceramic Spray Sealant. I've also never had BH Autofoam make that much of an effect on Ceramic Spray Sealant. Quite odd. Our Decon Soap V2 is similar to BH / KCX SF in strength, and we can do 15+ washes without seeing any degradation. Thank you for sharing your simulated real-world results.

      @ it’s the product at the top of our list for a revision. We haven’t been able to create anything worth the change yet. We don’t want to sacrifice durability for a crappy install like most other products.

    I would also say you are testing these in more of a best case scenario. A lot of people that are using a spray sealant aren’t the people that are going to polish and full prep beforehand. They will just wash and dry and apply. For that scenario the results would be even less

    In the uk, ADS is quite expensive. I can buy 2 or 3 spray sealants for the price of this one.
    One of my favourites is Stjarnagloss Parla. Cheap, a doddle to use, can be used on wheels as well.
    I'm definitely looking forward to what you've got lined up for our entertainment

    I think that the hydrophobicity is the key attribute I look for. There’s so many products that are durable but don’t do it in terms of repellency. Typically the slick products. I’d rather have a star performer that I have to reapply occasionally than a mediocre but long lasting product.

    • @sheepstardetail
      @sheepstardetail  4 дня назад +1

      Going forward and with new real world testing, we’ll get a better picture of how the controlled testing translates into real world. Collinite bead coat is very close in application and hydrophobics, and their companion detailer seems great too, but also offers more chemical resistance. Very curious how this will translate into the real world, but it’s not the right time of year to start up a new test.

    re: stepping up to solvent-based spray sealants like Cancoat or Phobic, my one reservation is that they're Petroleum-based. My car has PPF and the manufacturer's aftercare instructions specify to not use any petroleum-based detailing products or else the warranty is voided.

    I'm a big fan of ADS Ceramic Spray Sealant and ADS products in general, the only one I haven't been 100% happy with is their tire sealant Ghost but I didn't get much time to play with it before winter began so it could be a me problem. Is the Ceramic Spay perfect? Certainly not but the areas it lacks in are things that I don't particularly care about - filling and chemical resistance. Filling I just don't care about in general and chemical resistance is largely irrelevant as I either apply Amplify or re-apply the Ceramic Spray every wash which is at minimum once every two weeks. Ease of application is important to me and it would be hard to find a ceramic spray that is easier to apply. Being available to purchase in bulk is also a must have for me as I use a lot of product, in bulk form the ADS spray is a bargain.
    As an aside, Phobic is only marginally harder to apply so if anyone is on the fence and worry about ease of use is keeping them from trying it, it's not hard at all. I applied Phobic to both my winter vehicles, I won't know until the spring wash how it held up against the winter chemicals as if I wash my vehicles in -20 temps I will have a brick the next day.

    • @sheepstardetail
      @sheepstardetail  4 дня назад +1

      Yeah those are basically the points I made in the video. Bulk is a good value, easy of use and hydrophobics are top notch, and it works with a good well rounded system.
