I've been watching your videos for a while now and love them all but this one almost hit home today. I am a paramedic on an ambulance and had a call today that on initial reports sounded like a climber that got hurt(police report). Got to the pt who actually was the ground man and the cutter topped the tree instead of a single branch like the pt was set up for on the bottom. The top dropped and sling shotted my guy into the tree and his ankle snapped. Thanks to your videos I knew exactly what was supposed to happen and understood what did happen. Thank you for educating your followers and keep up the great work!

I was an Army Aviator for over 30 years, and we trained for the what if all the time. This is priceless training and I am really glad to see you all do this. What you do is horribly dangerous and we all pray for you all, that you never have to put this into action. There is a great piece of mind knowing you have someone that can help. It seems like you do some remote area tree work, good to know if your cell works in all places, if not maybe consider a SAT phone….. God speed.

Maybe when you're doing an episode of removing a tree, detail the approach... Like the plan, climber(s), safety equipment, crane support, backup plan, etc. Not crazy detail on it, just a couple minutes, because most views will be related to the actual tree removal.

I worked on a line crew as a groundman for Salt River Project in AZ the summer of '71. It was hot hard work, but my 4-man crew made it pretty pleasant. The crew lead did a recovery exercise with the other journeyman lineman, mostly for the benefit of the apprentice. I was just the grunt. Point being, this safety stuff has been going on for a long time because high-voltage can fry you in a heartbear.

It's nice to see you guys practice these procedures. The best way to stay calm under pressure is to have done it hundreds of times. Problem is, nobody gets that kind of experience in actual rescue situations. In our area, when an rescue from a tree is needed, emergency techs call an arborist to help. I'd trust a guy who works up in the tree every day over one who only practices.

    2: High angle rescue
3: Steel tower rescue, transmission towers/ power pole/communications towers are all covered under this course (Powerline rescue is part of this course)
