Listen to more stuff from them. There are albums that are nothing like their previous stuff - MOTU is one example.

I'm a Radiohead fan too and hated the first King Gizzard album I listened to (Flying Microtonal Banana). I'd suggest trying albums like Nonagon Infinity, Butterfly 3000, or Polygonawanaland
