Nick, thank you so much for your dedication, the passion in your voice for the craft and your patience !!! 65 films! 😮 FANTASTIC breakdown! ❤❤🎉💯
65 films😮! I would love to see your calendar and how you schedule your days, did you sleep?
There was not a lot of sleep had.
Joseph rolling his eyes at Nick sneaking ties into a top ten list! I got Deja vu!! Great video. Looking forward in particular to the 2 Sandra Huller movies. Toni Erdmann one of my all time favs!!
Welcome back, Nick! Happy to see you by Joseph's side again!
Thank you!
Thank you for saying what I’ve been thinking about the Wes Anderson films of the past few years!
His last good film for me was The Royal Tenenbaums
Wes Anderson is crap, I liked punch drunk love and magnolia, but I think that's Paul Thomas anderson
The grand Budapest Hotel
Came here to say the same thing
@pointysidedown yes that's Paul Thomas Anderson of There Will Be Blood fame. Also, not to be confused with Paul WS Anderson, who did the Resident Evil films
I cannot even fathom seeing 65 films!! And some at 3 hrs.!!!! I know it’s your job, Nick, but you are a BEAST!! I salute you! I’m always so grateful for your reviews from Canne. Zone of Interest -want to see it but almost afraid I won’t be able to get the soundtrack out of my head.
yesssss! I have been waiting for this!
Great list! I "only" saw 30 films but we have the same top 10 (I would replace dry grass with perfect days but the rest is so spot on it's eerie) Favorites are May December, A Prince and Zone of Interest. I saw you in the line for Rosalie at Certain Regard and I have to say you look hotter irl 😅
I ❤ you guys SOOOO MUCH!!! Your content is FABULOUS!
Jonathan Glazer really had me at Under the Skin, that thing is genius. I’m soooo excited for this one! Jealous that you did Cannes, that’s a butt burnin’ number of films though! I hope you talk more in-depth about your favorites on the channel.
I just watched that last nite!! My thoughts exactly !! Great taste!!
Yeah i feel the same way about modern Wes Anderson. He’s become too reliant on that aesthetic
Thank you Nick. Was looking out for your views on the festival films. I did watch some press conferences to get some insights but everything does get eclipsed by the red carpet and photo calls.
Thank you both for this and for all you do, now and forever. Enjoy your reviews so much.
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY @Fish Jelly Film Reviews
2:47 “…an empty film that made me feel like there’s something wrong with me…” 😩😫
65 films seen oh wow thats an inspiration
Yay! I have missed seeing the two of you together side by side! My boys are back I am all ears 😂
Nick, one of the few reviewers who echoed my opinion about Wes Anderson, his movies have been empty for a long time.
You guys are the only opinions I trust! Thanks for the video!
I agree about Wes Anderson films!! I'm glad I'm not alone, so many people love all of his movies!
Thank you Nick, living vicariously through you
OMG Nick...65 films in 12 days!!!
That is more than 5 movies/day...how do you do that!?
Am speechless...sleep, food, bathroom, and watching movies
Hearing Joeseph talk about films he likes is really inspiring and reminds you why you fell in love with cinema.
you mean Nick
@@js7dragon yes
Wow, Nick. 65? Amazing!
Welcome home Nick
Thank you so much. I have only got to Cannes once (2008) - it is the Willy Wonka of film festivals - a beast! Love to hear your breakdowns Nick. 65 films! Well done.
😲 65 films at once! 😮 wow!
Thank you, looking forward to more of this channel
Here for it!!! 💜💜
Saying something like, "saw some Turkeys!" with a smile - all ready for the 'juicy' "Best and Worst!" 😉
Wow Asteroid City in one of the worst out of all the films you saw.
Great show as always ❤
Can you guys review ‘You Can Live Forever’?
PLEASE give us the tea on Poor Things!! It looks so good! But I will always respect y’all’s opinion- much love and support 🥰💪✌️
FUSSY NARRATIVES!!! Perfect!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
How about killers of the flower moon?
For those of us that were not at the film festival, where and how can we watch ZONE OF INTEREST?
Can’t wait for Zone of Interest. Hopefully A24 releases it this year.
Hi .. Did you (Nick) watch Une nuit (Strangers by Night), as seen by Alex Lutz & Club Zero by Jessica Hausner ???
Nick I've been reading about this film called "how to have sex" and how it did well at Cannes? If you saw it can you give us a review or just a blurb about how you felt about it? It sounds really interesting and your opinion is highly valued. Thank you for doing the heavy lifting and letting us live through u.
I especially liked joseph's input on this video :)
Your comment made me laugh out loud. Thanks!
I realise it must get tiring to listen when someone with such knowledge watches 65(?!) movies.
At the same time I feel like knowledgeable people, in whatever area, are so damn attractive !
How was Strange Way OF Life?
I got hopeless via link and I couldnt finish. It just spins its wheels for two hours but feels like three. It goes no where
I may not care for the festivals, but I love you both 💗
Lol I love Moretti, probably my favorite filmmaker at the festival this year besides Scorsese
Who is this in the background with the Monroe vibes????
Joseph’s face during this video..😂
😏 4:35 Joseph's face upon hearing there's an Honorable Mention. 😏
an/a Honorable Mention?
You already know lol
Joseph looks bored in this video, even pained 🤣🤣🤣. I don’t blame him, I don’t really care about the festivals.
Joe's face ** I ain't watchin' that Conan film**
I disagree about the Wes Anderson. Of course its absolutely fine to have your own taste but the lack of emotion in Wes' films is obviously deliberate and who says you need to relate to real human emotion in order to make good art? The world he creates really makes me feel warm inside, I can happily stare at one of his frames for hours. I think there's something very poetic about his characters' "dryness" and expressionlessness which for some reason I seem to relate to well. Ultimately, I think the regulated aesthetic of his films goes hand in hand with the emotional fixedness of his characters
You are strong to make through that many monies.
Thanks! 📽🍿🍫🥤🎫
Thank you!
did you see indiana jones?
Is Indiana Jones 5 as bad as they say?
Ha! No Scorsese!
Ohhh no Scorsese hehe
Have you heard from Mike Diamond?
