Before we release the most complete review ever of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC, how about a little teaser with a diagonal 4matic test! Too easy it was for the GLC, so we tried to stop on the hill and see how it would react to moving up again! Easy task for that luxury SUV!

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is completely new for 2016 and replaces the famous Mercedes-Benz GLK! The GLC is engineered, designed and crafted to raise the bar for midsize SUVs in safety, style, and satisfaction. It’s been honed in the wind tunnel and on the track, for a muscular shape and performance to match. The GLC 300 4MATIC’s 2.0-litre gasoline turbo four teams response with refinement. The AMG-enhanced bi-turbo gasoline V-6 in the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC generates 362 hp!

This was very painful to watch, every time 4matic try to actually work and stop the wheel with no traction the driver hit the brakes and prevent it from work... just keep accelerating and let the system work.
hmr the best : bro that’s what I was thinking I off-road in a ml and you have to wait literally a split second longer than he was doing.
And it still went up
LOVE this unique test-- really shows the PRO/CON of the vehicles all wheel drive capabilities--- much prefer this than a video of a vehicle going over boulders far off road ! My old 2010GLK 350 4matic is very sure footed and never lets me down in wet or snow conditions and I'm glad to see the replacement is just as capable since I am in the market for a replacement... once a Mercedes owner it's hard to settle for a lesser brand!
but they have reliability issues now.

Have an 2019 E class 4 Matic and works great here in Chicago winters best awd so far
Amazing! Show's the capability of the 4matic systems. These systems are faster than even Subaru's AWD. Virtually no hesitation before providing power to the correct wheel.

Most all AWD can do this test...Toyota, Honda, GM, even FIAT 500x... I am not especially impressed by the performance of the Mercedes...Not scientifically remarkable...the fact that a Kia can also do it proves it...

I wasn't comparing the quality of their interiors.
Fancy Esquire mechanically we all know Mercedes quality is better handling and performance but it’s definitely more pricey to fix than Kia. Mercedes and Kia is not even competition :)
