One thing, its great watching Phil Rudd drumming for ACDC ITS A LONG WAY TO THE TOP (IF YOU WANNA ROCK AND ROLL), Jack Black and the school kids really rocked it at the end of SCHOOL OF ROCK Movie, that was Phil Rudd drumming on the back of a truck with ACDC down the main street of the Melbourne CBD in the 1976 Rock video that cost about $375.00 to make back then and bankrolled by Ian Molly Meldrum, though ACDC were a Sydney pub circuit band. Azza in Australia.
Been a AC/DC head from the the beginning, can't say I'm all that impressed here with Rudds free style.Perhaps I'm just fixed to how I knew him.Even AC/DC today, without Malcolm and Brian. The magic as the band they were is just done, even Rudd here.Still a great drummer I must add.Too bad things went sour for the guy.
+Zachary Anthony No, he's got a point. Crap lyrics, too much emphasis on LOUD guitar riffs, etc. Even Malcolm has been quoted as saying they thought that if they got a decent guitar riff, that would be enough to make a song. It's not. The output post Back in Black has been disappointing, to say the least.
+Zachary Anthony And 'Thunderstruck' - One half-decent song in 24 years? (And the best version is not the original, but the live version with Phil Rudd on drums.) The fact of the matter is that Bon Scott wrote some awesome lyrics and the band have never been able to emulate that. So their songwriting has suffered. The band really has produced some mediocre albums over the years. On the other hand, the first album I ever bought was Powerage - and I still listen to it even now. Those lyrics are awesome, man.
+Zachary Anthony Like I said, the very first album I ever bought (a cassette) was Powerage, way back in my teenage years. Man, I listened to that album many times. And I remember when Bon Scott died, a lot of people turned up to school wearing black armbands. It was a huge event in our young lives, no mistake. Maybe I still have a hankering after those days, LOL ...
Rock-solid drumming, only as Phil does it, love his style.
This is a great song. Excellent drumming. The best AC/DC drummer by far.
This tune will stick in my head today. Very simple yet catchy. Vocals were Lemmy-ish. Phil was very Phil-ish lol and that's a great thing.
Pure Rock and Roll.
Very great album
Phil is bad ass
Phill is the master behind a drumkit...
Rudd =the man
Der beste Trommler der Welt spielt für uns! Was gibt es besseres?

You will be greatly missed
My secret fantasy will never come true now that one if us are gone. Maybe there’s still hope for us on the other side 😍

It was all of them, but Phil is/was the secret sauce no one could truly put their finger on.
Phill Rudd some how always was AC/DC best drum backing. Who knows why?

Phil Rudd is a wreck.. sad but true. AC/DC´s time is over, but they will always be the greatest Rock`n´Roll band in the planet!
however its suprising he wants to keep going at his age
Maybe not.

This song would've sounded better if Lemmy sang it)
Probably not. He kinda blew live....
This whole album is better than anything acdc has released since back in black
