Very beautiful explanation on joint family culture, which I used to always think about and miss whenever I used to be stressed as I was brought up in a joint family until I was married. I used to wish that me and my family bring my in laws with me which really happened about a month agos, although a situation had to come where my father in law fell and sustained a mild spinal compression. By god's grace he is recovering. I want to keep them with me forever. There are both pluses and minuses, but all the pluses take over the minuses when we accept and learn to adjust and live. Every day I feel like it's a festival with so many varieties of traditional dishes prepared by my mother in law. Of course I have adjust a lot which I accept and learn. Kids are more gifted to get such a love from grandparents...they are also understanding the importance of relationship and respect.😊

Good .. The main thing in joint family system is that irrespective of outside space , we should be ready to create space inside us for everybody. Treating in laws as our parents ( or daughters/sons as the case may be) by accomodating them inside our mind is the first step..👍😇
