Hi. Is it possible to link the Giant sound to the Casio on board sound system? Is there no problem with evental lag in that case?

Great job!!!! Thanks a lot. And yes this Giant piano sounds organic and airy.

Hi, great review, is it possible to play VST through the built-in speakers of the Casio GP 510, after connecting an external audio interface?

The giant sample kind of reminds me the concert piano modeled patch on the Roland V Piano

Hi Alex, Im a Yamaha C3 serious jazz student. I moved to Naples Florida and the humidity is keeping me from moving my NYC grand down here, for now. I am torn between the N1X and this Casio. I can't find a place down in Naples that has this piano so my question to you is did you ever compare the Yamaha N1X N3X Action to this new Casio, thank you and great playing.
was just in Emmet Cohen Harlem apt sat next to Kyle on drums be well and thanks

does the faster speed repetition (of the Casio GP510) than acoustic grand pianos make it more difficult to play advanced classical music on acoustic grand pianos, if you practice it mainly on the 510?

Hello Alex, nice video! I have a gp 510 too, and I was wondering how do you manage to play the casio using external app piano sounds. What cables, hardware and software do you use? Thank you so much!

Hi Celso. I use a USB cable to go from the Casio to my computer. That gives my computer MIDI inputs. The software I use is Logic Pro X, and my sound card is an Apogee Duet for Mac.

Such a useful review, by someone who is not trying to sell pianos but knows his instrument well and can describe its virtues and defects. The Giant clearly has more depth, richness, nuances and so on. Sometimes it sounds a bit "electronic" but I can understand that it suits your style of playing and recording. To my ears it sounds a bit like a Roland (see Ivan E Daza below). Casios do tend to sound a bit "thin" sometimes, don't they?

Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback Michael ☺️. Yes I agree on the Casio, they do sound a bit thin... And yes I know what you (and Daza below) are saying about the Roland. I haven't owned a Roland since the RD700SX, I'm a Nord Stage for my live gigs nowadays, but I remember loving that Roland rich sound.

Molto bello presentatione Alessandro …. :) Really love your style of playing and your videos are so well appreciated. Have you tried the Yamaha AvantGrand N1x and if so, what’s your genuine thoughts about it? I also seem to like the Casio GP510 as you’re demonstrating this. Also, are you aware of the new Casio GP-1000 released in Japan?

Hello! Many thanks for your comment. Yes I have tried the Avantgrand And I absolutely love it!! But unfortunately it's above my budget for the time being ☺️

it appears the gp-1000 improved sensitivity from 5 to 9, especially on delicate side. Has tone tweaks. And improved headphone use which was a common complaint. Hope these changes reach the western market.

Can you use the speakers for the native sounds. Is it possible to turn the volume of the casio off in the speakers

@@timsurftwhen I tried to do that on Casio AP 710 the speakers sounded with hiss. It was impossible to continue. I’ve read the same about the gp310. Then… does that wiring work on 510?

Nice video! Just wondering, did you set the Master EQ setting to Line Out timbre (p. EN-68) when recording the GP-510 output?

    • @alpao74
      @alpao74  2 года назад +1

No! 😭 Oh my god I need to try this, I keep telling myself I always need to read the manual first... Is the sound very different in that way?

Line out setting sounds very different! The sound becomes richer.
