The Government counts Consumer Spending as a Plus.
Now Consumer Debt is $17 trillion.
      Is that a sustainable indicator?
Or is it simply assuming things will get better?

Is government spending not considered national debt ? ..then GDP growth is all about debt ? right, wrong?

Good question. The answer is not as straightforward as you might think. If the U.S. government prints or borrows money through selling treasury bonds, and if it uses the borrowed money to buy foreign goods or services, it will be deducted from the above GDP calculation (what he called net exports). If the government uses the borrowed money to buy domestic goods or services (often with foreign inputs that need to be netted out), it will jack up the GDP for this year. The long term impact of borrowing is a separate question.

@@theinfralink6598 Debt is only a separate issue if you can figure out how to make it go away.
If the Debt is unresolved, the Constitutional Mandate to pay all Bills,
      is violated.
They appear to be dancing around the ability to pay for Treasury Notes?
You do need some resources to sell, to other Nations.
      What does the USA have?

But as a rule, the simplest things will be most not understandable 🫣
