    Some of those dogs looked like pets these people need to keep their pets in their own yards. I'd probably warn my neighbors "this is my property and I'm tired of the issue and it's possible your loose dogs are going to get hurt so you need to take care of the issue because Im not paying your vet bills just because you cant be bothered to keep your dogs contained. The traps are going up today so you better take care of your pets". They may get mad but their pets have no business being loose all over everyone's properties anyway. We being our pets into our world it's up to protect them. Part of that is not letting them take off to everyone else's yards. Maybe say it nicer than me so that way if they show any animosity it's on them. You dont have to warn them but when I get tired of the loose animals here I make it clear my dogs are loose in my yard and they will likely attack them. They dont have to like it, it's not their place they have no business on it. We have a fenced space for them but when we intentionally let our dogs loose we are out there with them. I'm not even an iota responsible for their dog getting torn up for peeing in my yard and my dogs whooping their butts. My dogs are still on their property. Their dogs arent. I have far less patience for pets than I do wild animals. Wild animals are just trying to survive you do what you have to do, doesn't make me have animosity towards them but I damn sure have animosity towards the people who cant watch their damn dogs. Not mad at the dogs but at the owner and if the owner doesnt keep it straight what happens to their pet is 100% on them. If I catch their dog enough they will likely be paying animal control to get them out of dog jail. I'll try and discuss it first but if they give me some bs entitled answer well then they will be crying when their dog ends up in the pound. Sometimes people dont get the lesson until it hits them in their pockets. If it's an accident I can work with someone but there are some people who just feel entitled, and when you talk to them you know they arent going to resolve it because they dont see it as their problem if their dogs run all over. Our dogs escape sometimes (not when let loose, but if the kiddo doesnt lock the gate or something and we think they are safe in the fence for example). Our neighbors know we dont just let them run wherever they feel like it outside of the yard.
    We have a neighbor that had an elderly dog and she was my one exception simply because she was 16 years old and if my older girl but still younger than her were to attack her she would have been killed not just needing a vet. They did try to keep her away though because they knew our dogs will get loose in the yard sometimes. Other peoples dogs who've had fair warning and gave me an entitled response I'll let my dogs loose intentionally on them though. It's not nice I realize. I am a nice person to an extent. I'll be the nicest person until someone gives me a legitimate reason (takes a while usually too) for me no longer to be nice.

      Oh, they have been warned many times as my neghbors have all called the sheriff to help. They keep doing it.

      @@RidgeLife you called the sheriff or they have called on you?

    • @RidgeLife
      @RidgeLife  4 года назад +1

      Sunnie DIY we all have called the sheriff on the dogs and they are captured and returned to the owner each time

    • @SunnieDIY
      @SunnieDIY 4 года назад +1

      @@RidgeLife most states have some sort of rights what to do when peoples pets trespass they may return them if you call them but I mean they cant get you for the dogs getting caught in the traps or sent to the pound directly (you taking them to animal control) right?

    • @SunnieDIY
      @SunnieDIY 4 года назад +1

      @@RidgeLife just saying maybe it's time to not call the sheriff but take their butts directly to the pound. Or just call them when their dogs get caught in the traps and tell them hey their dogs leg is broken time to take their dog to the vet you're not paying the bill and they better take the warning because next time you take them to animal control in a different town? I think their issue is they dont think you personally can do anything but call the sheriff and they seem to have an in with the Sheriff.
      Sorry I get kinda heated with entitled people be it the trespassers who think they can do what they want with other people property or the people who feel so entitled to let their pets do whatever to other peoples property. I know you are a nice guy but calling the sheriff is too nice since he doesnt bother making them pay to get the dog back. Sometimes you gotta teach people what lines not to cross.

    I understand the need for predator management, but you are kind of making a mistake trapping coyotes and fox this time of year. The pelts are valuable, but past prime and not worth much now. Those old coyote turds.....place them next to your mouse hole. They make a great visual attractor, and will hole coyote urine like a sponge. too bad that sign is so far gone. That would be worth some money in a little better shape! Looking forward to seeing what you catch.

    I have never seen anyone use an earth anchor and put it off to the side like that before. Interesting way of doing things. Only time I have ever seen chain off to the side and buried was when people used drags.
