- The Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and Chorus (KSOC) was founded and began performing sacred masterpieces of classical music in 1993. These pieces-including Handel’s Messiah-were banned under Communist rule. As the Iron Curtain lifted and this music became known to Ukrainian musicians, they described it as “an explosion of light.”
These time-honored compositions powerfully communicate texts that come directly from Scripture, declaring God's glory to the nations.
For the musicians of the KSOC, music is both profession and calling. Our members are graduates of the world-renowned Tchaikovsky National Music Academy and now regularly perform in Ukraine and tour the U.S. and Canada. They have appeared at National Opera Theater in Kyiv and played in numerous churches, colleges, and concert halls throughout the world.

Jesus Never Calls Himself God
The Bible (in spite of being changed and adulterated over time) contains many verses in which Jesus speaks of God as a separate person to himself. Here are just a few of them:.
When a man addressed Jesus as “Good Teacher”, he replied “Why do you call me good? No one is good except the one God.’’ [Mark 10:18]
In another instance he says: “I can’t do anything by myself. Whatever I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just. I don’t seek my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” [John 5:30]
Jesus speaks of God as a separate being to himself: I’m going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. [John 20:17]
In this verse he affirms that he was sent by God: This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent. [John 17:3]
If Jesus was God he would have told people to worship him, but he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: And in vain they worship Me [Matthew 15:9]
If Jesus claimed to be God than there should be hundreds of verses in the Bible which would have mentioned it. But there is not a single verse in the entire Bible in which Jesus says I am God, worship me

Even Muslims believe that Jesus was more than just a messenger, or it would not be written in the Koran that Jesus will return to defeat the devil. But how can a man argue against what he has not read and does not know? My only challenge for you is this: read the New Testament in the Bible. Pray to Allah to lead you to the truth. @@monikabond2359 there is not a single unequivocal statement in the entire Bible where Jesus (pbuh) himself says, "I am God" or where he says, "worship me". In fact the Bible contains statements attributed to Jesus (pbuh) in which he preached quite the contrary.
(i) "My Father is greater than I."

(ii) "My Father is greater than all."
[The Bible, John 10:29]
(iii) "…I cast out devils by the Spirit of God…."
[The Bible, Mathew 12:28]
(iv) "…I with the finger of God cast out devils…."

(v) "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me."

Jesus (pbuh) of Nazareth - a Man Approved of God
The following statement from the Bible supports the Islamic belief that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God.
"Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know."

The First Commandment is that God is One
The Bible does not support the Christian belief in trinity at all. One of the scribes once asked Jesus (pbuh) as to which was the first commandment of all, to which Jesus (pbuh) merely repeated what Moses (pbuh) had said earlier:
"Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adonai Ikhad."
This is a Hebrew quotation, which means:
"Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord."

It is striking that the basic teachings of the Church such as Trinity and vicarious atonement find no mention in the Bible. In fact, various verses of the Bible point to Jesus’ (pbuh) actual mission, which was to fulfill the law revealed to Prophet Moses (pbuh). Indeed Jesus (pbuh) rejected any suggestions that attributed divinity to him, and explained his miracles as the power of the One True God.
Jesus (pbuh) thus reiterated the message of monotheism that was given by all earlier prophets of Almighty God.
NOTE: All quotations of the Bible are taken from the King James Version.

Teacher:

"And the multitude said, this I Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee" (Matthew 21:11).
"That a great prophet is risen among us" (Luke 7:16). "Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a great prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people" (Luke 24:19). "This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world" (John 6:14).
"Many of the people therefore, when they heard his saying, said, of truth this is the prophet" (John 7:40). "Nevertheless I (Jesus) must walk to day, and tomorrow, and the [day] following: for it cannot be that a Prophet perish out of Jerusalem." (Luke 13:33).
The following verses describe the human Jesus in his own words:
Jesus� Words:
"My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me" (John 7:16). "The word which ye hear is not mine but the Father's which sent me" (John 14:24).
Jesus� Will:
"My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work" (John 4:34).
"Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me, nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done" (Luke 22:42).
Jesus' Power:
"I can of mine own self do nothing; as I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek not mine own will but the will of the Father which hath sent me" (John 5:30).
"The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him" (John 13:16).
"But to sit on my right hand and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father" (Matthew 20:23).
Jesus� Knowledge:
"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only" (Matthew 24:36).
"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father" (Mark 13:32).
Jesus' Status:
"Not everyone that saith unto me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21).
"And Jesus said to him, "Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God" (Mark 10:18).
"And I seek not mine own glory; there is One that seeketh and judgeth" (John 8:50).
Many Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and God. From the above verses, it is clear that Jesus denied being God or the Son of God. It now leaves the Christians who believe that Jesus is God to provide just one single verse in the Bible where Jesus says, "I am God." God in the Old Testament declared, "I am God" over 200 times.
It is obvious that Jesus called himself son of man; the people called him teacher and prophet; the devils called him Son of God; Paul called him son of God in the Jewish sense; and John called him God using the Greek philosophy. In Matthew 10:24, Jesus, after calling himself as the son of man, he continued to claim the highest honor of being the servant of God:
"The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord."

@@azeemahmad5918 Jesus was born by the power of the Holy Spirit. and not by any human sexual act. In that sense He was Son of God. He had both human and divine nature-- human from His mother's side and divine from God' side. Because of His human nature He died on the cross. Because of His divine nature He resurrected on the third day. It is this resurrected Jesus that Christians worship as God. When you don't even know the difference between God and god you shouldn't be preaching to Christians their faith.
There are several verses in the New Testament which imply Jesus is divine. John 20:28 is just one of them Do you understand logic? It says if the premise is false the conclusion can be true or false. If there is no verse in which Jesus says " I am God." that can mean He may or may not be God. There is no verse in the Quran that says Muhammad was circumcised. So that can mean he may or may not have been circumcised. But as I said there are several verses which imply Jesus is God. We Christians who pray to Him and witness His divine power by way of Faith Healing, Exorcism, Stigmatism and preservation of bodies of Saints, one of them nearly 1800 years old, do know He is God worthy to be worshiped.
Apparently you have been lapping up without applying your mind what Ahmed Deedat had spewed out . I am no scholar but even I can find loopholes in Deedat;'s arguments. He did not have much secular education. His logically unsound arguments are good enough only to impress naive Muslims like you. Dr. Yasir Qadhi rightly observed " the dawa of Ahmed Deedat and Zakir Naik has turned many people off." I have never heard authentic Islamic scholars like Dr. Yasir Qadhi, Dr Shabir Ally, Reza Aslam , Mufti Menk and Omar Suleiman ask such logically irrelevant question as " Where in the Bible did Jesus he was God."?

IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT CEASE FIRE because of the growing civilian casualties.
For a supernatural intervention, including angelic intervention, confusion for the enemy, failure of the Russian equipment, for Russian soldiers to put down their weapons, and Russian people to rise up in protest to stop this war and bring PEACE.
Pray for the men, women, widows, and children who are having to live in shelters, basements, and underground garages.
Pray for the many refugees who are having to flee. This is creating a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented proportions.
Protection for our men conscripted into the military to protect their families and cities.
Our Pastor Ruslan has sent his family away and stayed with his elderly mother in Kyiv and is now joining the civilian-military forces.
For many to come to faith and belief in Jesus Christ as they realize how powerless we are in some events in life but God is faithful to never leave us or forsake us.

Jesus speaks of God as a separate being to himself: I’m going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. [John 20:17]
In this verse he affirms that he was sent by God: This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent. [John 17:3]
If Jesus was God he would have told people to worship him, but he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: And in vain they worship Me [Matthew 15:9]
If Jesus claimed to be God than there should be hundreds of verses in the Bible which would have mentioned it. But there is not a single verse in the entire Bible in which Jesus says I am God, worship me

If you are Ukrainian, please know that the world truly mourns your incredible suffering. We pray night and day for you, with many tears and heartache for you. We don't understand why you're having to experience this, when we know the entire world is praying. But God promises double for your trouble. That is scriptural. We know the lost lives can't return and the incredible destruction is lost. But God will somehow reward you for the hell you have endured and are still enduring. Some people say that since the same titles - Alpha and Omega - are used for both God and Jesus, this proves that they one and the same. It is further claimed that these expressions mean the eternity of the Father and the Son. Upon analysis, we see that this notion raises several problems.

First, the Book of Revelation is an unreliable book. Early Christians and elders of the Church - Marcion, Caius of Rome, Dionysius of Alexandria, Amphilocius of Iconium, Gregory of Nazianzus, Cyril of Jerusalem, Synod of Laodicea in 360 CE - disputed it.[1] The author of the Revelation identifies himself as some unknown John, but probably not the apostle John because the style of the book is completely different from the Gospel of John.[2] Other than his name, very little is known about him. Martin Luther criticized this book. He wrote in the preface to Revelation,
About this book of the Revelation of John, I leave everyone free to hold his own opinions. I would not have anyone bound to my opinion or judgment. I say what I feel. I miss more than one thing in this book, and it makes me consider it to be neither apostolic nor prophetic… Many of the fathers also rejected this book a long time ago… For me this is reason enough not to think highly of it: Christ is neither taught nor known in it.”[3]
To this day, Lutheran scholars put the Revelation of John in a separate category of disputed books.
Second, Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. Biblical scholars are not completely sure what the phrase “the Alpha and the Omega” means. It cannot be strictly literal, because neither God nor Jesus is a Greek letter. It is like saying God is ‘A’ and ‘Z’. Lenski concludes, “It is fruitless to search Jewish and pagan literature for the source of something that resembles this name Alpha and Omega. Nowhere is a person, to say nothing of a divine Person, called ‘Alpha and Omega’, or in Hebrew, ‘Aleph and Tau’.”[4] Although there is no evidence from the historical sources that anyone is named “the Alpha and Omega,” Bullinger says that the phrase “is a Hebraism, in common use among the ancient Jewish Commentators to designate the whole of anything from the beginning to the end; e.g., ‘Adam transgressed the whole law from Aleph to Tau’.”[5] The best scholarly minds have concluded that the phrase has something to do with starting and finishing something, or the entirety of something.
Third, the doctrine of Alpha and Omega is a sad and unfortunate example of mankind’s tampering with the Word of God. It shows how doctrine is contracted by men to justify false beliefs. The phrase “Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last” (Revelation 1:11) which is found in the King James Version was not in the original Greek texts. Therefore, the Alpha Omega phrase is not found in virtually any ancient texts, nor is it mentioned, even as a footnote, in any modern translation!
Revelation 1:10-11
KJV “and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:”
NIV “and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, which said: ‘Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches’”
NASB and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet, saying, “Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches:”

Fourth, In the Book of Revelation 1:8, King James Version implies that Jesus said he was Alpha and Omega. Since God says He is Alpha and Omega in Isaiah 44:6, Jesus, according to Christians, is claiming divinity here. However, the wording of King James is inaccurate. Not only do all modern translations clarify it was God who said it, not Jesus, but the conveyor of the words is one of God’s angels.
Revelation 1:1-3
NRSV “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place; He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of the prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and who keep what is written in it; for the time is near.”
With these corrections, it becomes evident that this was a statement of God and not a statement of Jesus, the Prophet of God.
Revelation 1:8
KJV “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”
NIV “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
NASB “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
ASV “I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
RSV ‘“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.’
New American Bible (Catholic) “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “the one who is and who was and who is to come, the almighty.”
Fifth, Revelation 22:13 is part of the vision of an unknown John (not the author of the gospel) in which he claims a visitation by an angel, mentioned in Revelation 21:09.
NRSV “Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, ‘Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.’”
The angel is speaking from Revelation 22:10-13:
NRSV “And he said to me, ‘Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy. See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone’s work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.’
Jesus did not say those words, not is there any indication they refer to him. Then passage continues in verses 14 and 15.
NRSV “Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and fornicators and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.”
This does not appear to be Jesus Christ speaking because the appearance of the first person singular pronoun in 22:16 signals a shift in speaker. Therefore, Alpha and Omega in the passage refers to God Himself, speaking through the angel. This is born out by Revelation 21:5-7, which says:
NRSV “And the One Who was seated on the throne said, ‘See, I am making all things new.’ Also He said, ‘Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true.’ Then He said to me, ‘It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give water as a gift from the spring of the water of life. Those who conquer will inherit these things, and I will be their God and they will be my children.’”
What Jesus is reported as saying is,
NRSV, Revelation 22:16; “‘It is I, Jesus, who sent my angel to you with this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.’”
Therefore, for the sake of argument, should the saying “I am the Alpha and the Omega” actually pertain to other than Jesus, can one gamble personal salvation on a vision claimed by an author whose identity is not clear, and whose book is disputed as being reliably canon?
Sixth, what is significant is not so much the use of this name, but the fact that God is always superior to Jesus when the Bible describes the relationship between God and Jesus as explained elsewhere.
We can see from this analysis that these verses which Christians use to prove that Jesus is the son of God cannot be used in proving the Trinity. Rather, an examination of the history of the theological development in Church philosophy will reveal that the Trinity was a concept developed much later in Christianity due to various socio-political factors, which later Christians sought to justify through various passages of the Bible.
