That hero is silly, using it in a really mean way can make people dislike you haha. I waited one game until every cozied up next to mecatol for the "be in 2 systems next to mecatol" objective then moved it next to my delta wormhole! Another game I went into a guys slice and took his planet, then swapped it over to my side of the board and gave him empty space in its place.
Something that I haven't seen anyone talk about in regards to dimensional splicer, is that on top of all of your wormhole shenanigans, you don't even need an actual wormhole to trigger it, if you're invading with your flagship. Dimensional splicer doesn't specify A or B, so the delta on the flagship counts
I also think that the Unite upgrate for the PDS is vital. Being able to shoot through your flagship from your home system with the Deep Space Cannons is amazing.
I guess im randomly asking but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Leonard Harlan thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
You're very welcome, thank you for watching and commenting. I'm really glad that my video gave you some new ideas on how to play the Ghosts of Creuss. :)
So Christian T. Peterson the designer and publisher has said that the actual pronunciation is, Kree-us, anyways not that anyone cares but thought I'd share.
He should have definitely made it a hyphenated word. That's the problem with coming up with strange names for alien races and then not making the pronunciation super obvious by the spelling. ;)
Loved the video! In addition to the Winnu, I think the Ghosts have really come into their own with the PoK expansion material in a way that is both thematic and engaging. Props to Dane for these design insights. While the I'm sure MR-Switcharoo strategy is great fun (for you, not for the other players 😉), it will also invite the table's wrath to combine their forces and storm the Creuss Gate. Your table mates will likely not let you pick Imperial often enough to make it worth your while. I'd recommend a less obvious approach and use the hero to frustrate your opponents' attempts to score control objectives, or incite conflict among other players because they suddenly find themselves adjacent to each other. Definitely agree about the role of PDS II and shooting through mobile wormholes to make life interesting for the other players! A well-established PDS II network could be used for some profitable bargaining/extortion strategies... 🤑 Also, would strongly recommend playing the Ghosts with Wormhole generator Omega variant (which does the same thing but makes it an action).
Very true on all accounts. Thank you very much for your contributions. Stealing MR really turns the game into "can I survive the attacks of every other player long enough to win?" Still, what a rush! You are of course correct that there are much more subtle uses of that ability. The network of PDS units with the PDS 2 upgrade is definitely an oversight on my part. I definitely should have talked about it. Thanks again for watching and commenting. :)
You always amaze me with your depth of knowledge on things Josh. I can't even think about playing TI because no one I know would want to play it. Also my chairs aren't comfy enough for a game that long lol
I don’t know, you keep saying that, but you keep watching Twilight Imperium videos. I think that secretly, you really want to try Twilight Imperium fourth edition. ;)
More are on the way. The next episode is already edited and ready to go. It'll be released on the 3rd of January. I'm guessing the Awww is for Nico. :)
@@Shugenjya I'm trying to space them out so that people don't get burned out on them. I will still be keeping to my regular schedule of 1 video every 3 days though. @@Shinesprk Very Nice! I'm incredibly glad to hear that my video helped you win and find a favorite new faction. Thank you so much for this comment, you just made my day. :)
I thin this was a great analysis but you overlooked that Ghosts should make a beeline for PDS 2 and deep space cannon. Anyone activating any system with a wormhole in it allows you to fire all your PDSs in any system with a wormhole, this includes any system your flagship is in. 3 red tech will also give you warsuns that move 3 through wormholes around the time you are ready to steal MR and will need it.
You are correct, I did overlook a very powerful strategy for the Ghosts. Firing through the wormholes can be absolutely amazing. I your chosen user name by the way, I'm also a big Tolkein fan.

That’s freaking awesome! It is definitely super powerful. You just have to prepare for the inevitable reprisals. ;)

For the Mech, you do not place the wormhole into the active system. Rather, you place the wormhole into the system that had the Mech.

I think the game designer pronounces it 'Kree-us' lol
Designers really need to include pronunciation guides for made-up words.
