Elliot, you talk a lot about adding value and not contributing to "white noise" on youtube and tiktok. Idk bro but your last few videos have been nothing but you 1) Eating food; 2) Meeting with a friend; 3) Talking about you going to the gym => Take a look at your last two tiktoks for example. It looks like your viewership is taking a hit as a result - people are just getting bored.

And I also think that the reason he takes this structure for his current vlogs is because it's essentially the same as in college, except that in college you're often surrounded by groups of people while outside it's less so. And of course him being busy with his merch line probably led him to churn out these routinal videos.

This is all to eventually promote his other job whatever it is hes doing to actually make money He doesnt make money off his videos, he is actually garnering an audience to buy merch and eventually to promote whatever it is hes working on. Thats gotta be why his vlogs are just fluff - gym, coffee, wework, korean food w/friends at night).

Elliott needs to NOT live with his creator friends. Visiting here and there works, but living together is actually negative for Elliott's creativity. Last year when he moved into that LA house, he only put out like 1 video a month, and whatever he put out was trash.
Okay honestly, not that I know Kelly personally or anything, but I feel like his vibe is much more California than NYC. Elliot is more about productivity and work like a lot of New Yorkers, while Kelly is more about spontaneity and fun like people in LA. I know it’s a running joke among fans, but Kelly’s vibe doesn’t fit the east coast as much as Elliot’s does. Just content wise, obviously I don’t know either of them personally

absolutely, only few can afford.
I get Elliot's point but it's just so unrealistic. Especially early 20s. Elliot has connections, savings, doesnt have to pay rent, a somewhat consistent income etc. I know you should follow your dreams and believe anything is possible, because it is, HOWEVER you can't have your head in the clouds all the time. You need to come down from time to time

@@mathmagician155 He's right, it's an amazing place to be in your early 20s! But only if you've got rich parents/zero student debt/a high-paying job/YT money. Otherwise, just surviving there is stressful af. Most 20somethings today can't even afford to move to NYC, let alone thrive there (nice apartment, good food, fun stuff, savings). Elliot is an educated adult who should know this, so it kind of felt like he was just joking - but it's not a funny joke, lol.

not surprising honestly. he's from a privileged family... he can afford to risk so many things (from the things he did in the early days of his YT career to now) that many of people in the world cannot because his privilege allows him to have this safety net

Free rent really helps Elliott eat out all day, join a gym he rarely goes to. Plus money spent at wework is an expensive excuse for Internet when any random coffee shop wifi will do. He doesnt need to spend money on essentials, and can splurge on non-essentials. Of course he doesnt get why everyone doesnt just move to nyc. Its sooooo easy.

NY is a good experience if you can go but if you can’t that’s perfectly fine too. Don’t get caught up in the nice edits and music. NY has a lot of cons as well
changing your mentality like seeing things in different perspectives really makes a big difference especially when you're trying to achieve something that you think is insurmountable; thinking you're still in the process and not yet on the top and pushing yourself, doing things one step at a time, that's just an indication of huge success ahead of you.
Usually watch your vids in the morning for motivation but just feeling a different vibe from the thumbnail

I like following elliot’s journey and he’s great at what he does. But my problem with some of these vlogs is that I wish these young RUclipsrs could recognize and speak about their privilege of freedom, time, no real responsibilities etc. i get their message of not wanting a cookie cutter life, but I don’t want it to seem like a diss on people who do. It’s ok to want a 9-5 with income stability.

I hate criticizing but i feel like these are getting repetitive. What do i mean: Going to Gym, meeting friends, Eating out, Unboxing packages, etc.. These are fun don't get me wrong, but as a viewer, i feel like i already saw you do this 10 times.. Bro you're young. Make a video about a new skill you're learning, How you get these impossible camera angles, Encounters with Chess hustlers in NYC, Asking strangers random things on the subway, documenting someone else's day in the life like a "Day in a life with a NYC actor, Day trader, Skater, etc", Asking NYC ravers embarrassing questions, etc etc..As an outsider, it feels like NYC content creating is limitless given the vibrant nature of that city, but again, i could be totally wrong here. meh

While I don't think you should indulge in your successes for too long, it's definitely good and important to celebrate your accomplishments. Give yourself some self-love and be proud of all that you have achieved. That's not mutually exclusive of striving to achieve further.
I think if you have the money, expenses to help pay living there, friends or people you know it would be nice. But i have none of that irl LMFAO i'd probably just go to nyc to visit but not live there
