    WOW, The Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid is the mid-weight adventure bike king. Thoughts?

    Nice and informal walkthrough.
    I wish there would be a 16L low gas tank and long seat kit 🤪.
    I guess a lot of people now wish for Yama bringing out a suspension trade in program 😅.

    I hope the tank design on this bike helps after market tanks for my 2021 T7. The only thing I don't like about my T7 is the range, I live in Utah and there are many dirt roads and trails out there that make the factory tank feel too small.

  • @mowgli6345

    It really didn't need a color TFT dash. Needlessly complicates the setup. It's not like there's an IMU or fancy electronics to manage.

    Three years in and my local dealer still can’t get a T7. I am more interested in the Rally than the World Raid but apparently neither comes to American at this time.

    Im looking for a Replacement for my KLR and The only DOWN side to the Raid in my view is it needs Cruise control and a lower saddle.... My KLR had a 35" saddle till I ordered a lower concept seat... Cruise control would again be a throttle .... GRRRRR

    it'd be nice if Yamaha offered the larger tank as a modification of existing bikes. I'm a lot of people would pay the $$$ to upgrade their bike with a OEM extended tank instead of other aftermarket solutions (e.g. Camel tank)

    • @BurtoniMotors

      I thought about the Desert X and while I think it's an amazing looking motorcycle, I don't want to deal with Ducati prices (insurance, services, bike) anymore. My Panigale is a wonderful motorcycle, but finically obnoxious.

    €14.500 here in the Netherlands. The KTM 890 Adventure R is €17.600... so no-brainer for me ;)

      Longer travel with new protection on the outer tubes, but not thicker stanchions. On the teaser bike it was reported that the 43mm forks would be bumped up the 48mm, that would have been a massive improvement.

    I'll buy it, but won't be the first. Last week my dealer said my T700 is coming in (Ca.) and here is the invoice. After putting my deposit down in November I looked at the invoice and he added $2,200.00 onto the bill just because he can. Screw you I said and give me back my deposit.

    if I travelled off road more....but being only 5'7, I'm definitely vertically challenged for a bike like that, I like the Norden though, and I think I could manage that better.....but not ready to give up the 950 multistrada just yet.... that was a really good informative video though dude...cheers!!

    • @2lbsTrigrPull
      @2lbsTrigrPull 2 года назад +1

      If you plan longer trips the Norden should be more comfortable as the seat is really wide and your butt cheeks will feel at home. I'm 1,72m tall and the Norden is just right for that height.

    ive got a 2022 Tenere and literally none of those new features are something im interested in. I dont mind filling the bike every 200 miles. 99% of folks arent going to remote parts of the world where the get real range anxiety.

  • @downhillupside
    @downhillupside 2 года назад

    It looks like it'll finally be a match for the 890 adventure r offroad, but it's 10kg heavier than the 890 wet, with a smaller engine and far fewer high tech features. And it'll come in at probably the same price. They're not completely knocking it out of the park, unfortunately.

    • @keesverhagen9227
      @keesverhagen9227 2 года назад +1

      I owned the 890 R for two years. I do long traveling through Europe. And as much offroad as possible. In those 2 years i had more then 20 problems. And of those there were 3 times the bike was dead. When you are in the woods of Sweden or in the backcountry of Turkey and this is happening to you then you are cursing KTM.
      The T7 is a reliable bike. But the weight distribution is completely wrong. It is a bike for people who only dream of long distance traveling but in reality it is to (top)heavy. It is a real struggle to get it up. With the risc of getting a back-injury. Expeccially when loaded with luggage.
      If Honda would create a not so budget CRF 300 bike this could be the best bike for real long distance traveling with going away from the tarmac.
      But i really do not get it. Why not creating a 450 or 500 cc bike. Light and with a low gravity. It is not that it is not possible.
      I know that the World edition will sell bigtime. But it is still not the bike for the long distance traveler. Only when staying on the tarmac. They should have created a compartment as low as possible for the needed tools. Tools are heavy. Everything helps.
      A larger tank and keeping the same extreme top-heavyness does not help the problem the T7 has at all.
