+ChrisKoee If your smoke has black background then add screen to the layer, this will hide the black background and only show what is not black. If your video has white background then set blending mode to multiply. Multiply hides the white pixels, and Screen hides the black pixels.
I extracted the file like you did and when I went to import it in blender these are my options. File>Import>Collada (Default) (.dae) >Motion Capture (.bvh) >Scalable Vector Graphics (.svg) >Stanford (.ply) > Stl (.stl) >3D Studio (.3ds) >Autodesk FBX (.fbx) >Wavefront (.obj) >X3D Extensible 3D (.x3d/.wtl) Which do I choose?

How did you make the Smoke trails?? Did you use Cinema 4D, Maya,3Ds Max??
The smoke effect was made on C4D using Turbulence FD plugin.
