Thank you very much for your video on R10 with canon RF f 11 lens. Images are very good, naturally coming from professional like you. The way you interact with viewers through subject is amazing! I extend my best wishes for the coming new year with excellent happy birding .

I lived through a couple of large fires in San Diego in the early 2000’s. It’s hard to describe how scary that can be, and how impressive our firefighters are until you live through it. Glad to see you’re safe and still making videos!

We have been evacuated a couple of times with the last one being the Woolsey fire. This one was over the hill but still we could see the smoke from our house and when I got to drive the Canyon the other day.... it is all black. They really are amazing. 🙏🤗💖

You did a nice job getting low! I always enjoy your hummingbird images. I haven't used the 600 f/11 but you did a great job with it. Thanks, JP!

Thank you Phil. It was like shooting the 800 F11 with less reach.... but I think I prefer that on a crop body over the 800 F11 on a crop body. Still working on the full hummingbird one. I just wanted to show that you dont have to break the bank to get great shots (like you do with kit lenses) - you just have to know how to make the tools work for you.. Too many think it is about the gear. 🙏🤗💖

Amazing what you get with those Canon entry level wildlife gears. Nice shots Jonny!
    Cheers! 😀👍

Thank you, thank you Chris. It is all about knowing how to control the tools you have. I think a lot of new shooters forget that. I go out and have fun and hope I get something I am happy with. 🙏🤗💖

John, beautiful images and video. That really is a good budget set up. I really like the plover, you had great images of it/them.

Thank you Jeff. That is defiantly one of my favorite places to shoot. I know we will see each other in April, but if at anytime you make it this way, we have to shoot there again. Was just there again today with the R1 and the smell is gone but the devastation remains. The grey plovers though, were still there. 🙏💖🤗

good jobs John! The photos look good with details. and better than my Canon RP with 800mm f11.

Thank you, thank you. You know, with each body that Canon releases, to me it seems they put the latest tech in there to test it. This was as impressive as my R50..... and I think I like the AF for video better on the R50 and R10 better than the R5II. Was shooting the R1 today and I see no difference..... other than rolling shutter. 🙏💖🤗

There amazing the photos with RF600mm F11. The RF600mm F11 is my favorite lens shooting Madagascar herring heron, fork-tailed herringer. Greetings Wim

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I really enjoyed shooting that - like I do the 800 F11 (my favorite lens). I think that if I were to only shoot crop, I would probably pick that up - it was fun, works really well on a crop body, and it is so light. Fun fun fun. 🙏🤗💖

we had two Ospreys hunting there and posing for us......... what a beautiful morning......... and yes, Malibu was on fire those days. Glad everything is back to normal.
Nice video Jonny and how cool is that little camera. Perfect for starters with the 600 or 800 lens. Super compact and light.

Two- I forgot about that. If I had shown all the other shots that I took, the video would have been twice as long. What an amazing morning that was. I was out there today with the R1 and the smell is gone thankfully. 🙏💖🤗

My favorite set up by far. As I keep shooting all the Canon bodies, the R7 and 100-500..... amazing. That lens is SOOOOO sharp and the short MFD makes it perfect for long lens macro. Plus, the color science in the R7 raw files seems to be just a wee bit richer than the other Canon bodies. I LOVE love LOVE this set up. 🙏💖🤗

I like the R7 with the RF 70-200 F2.8 combo. For when I know I can get close to the birds and the light is going to be low. The focus is amazing in very low light.

I agree and that is my favorite event lens as well - but I still have my EF version that I adapt to the new bodies. I am still working on the hummingbird one and they are so close, I have to use extension tubes to shorten the MFD. It does not effect the focus or change the image but you lose the infinity focus because of the shorter minimum focus. It does allow you to fill your frame more because you are closer. 🙏🤗💖

Got the same. I hated that lens when I tried it in shop. Then got it anyway because it was available for cheap, and now I love the combo after piddling about a bit.

It is a great lens and I am impressed. I think the 800 F11 ( my favorite focal length) is one of my favorites. This one, if I did not have other lenses, would be in my bag at all times. Such a great little combo!! 🙏💖🤗

Hi Jonny - Another good video. R10 & R50 use the same sensor - how does the autofocus compare?

Thank you, thank you. You know, I was shooting the R1 today..... and in my opinion, they are all about the same. Canon seems to keep putting the latest into the newest cameras. They are the same!! 🙏💖🤗

Hi John, how do you find the 600F11 compared to the 800F11?

    • @JonnyPink65
      @JonnyPink65  4 дня назад

Really about the same, just reach is different...... and it depends on the body you put it on. For the 800 F11, I prefer it on a full frame body. I can see using the 600 F11 on a crop body but you really have to watch the shutter speed and ISO. Both are sharp and quick, light and so much fun to shoot. I should have kept the 600 F11 to shoot on the R1 - I just was not thinking. I do have another video with this set up that i am still working on. Any of the new lenses Canon has put out are awesome. If I were to pick two, it would the the 800 F11 and the 100-400 to cover just about anything. You can put the 1.4 extender on the 100-400 as well. Overall though, the reach is the only real difference. 🙏🤗💖
