A Twist for your Holiday Turkey - Ordering a PEKING TURKEY
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 ноя 2022
- If you're like our families, turkey during the holidays seems more like a tradition rather than a true want. That could be the fact that it's something we've had for several years and not doing much to update the turkey recipe.
This year though, our friends told us about getting our turkey roasted at a local butcher shop that specializes in roasted duck, sesame chicken, fried pork and so much more. During the holidays, they run a special where you can bring in your protein (you pay based on whether it is over or under 15 lbs) and they'll roast it for you in a few days. We decided to give it a try and share all that you need to know about our experience before deciding to roast a turkey of your own.
Watch to find out what we think!
Lien Hoa BBQ
They have a few locations throughout Orange County. We went to the one off of Bolsa in Westminster.

What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Share with us below!
OMGEEE! Hubby and I went to our favorite bagel place today. The owner was telling us about getting a turkey Peking style, but the place he told us to go to in the SGV was $60.00. Your turkey looked amazing!! Thank you for sharing! I’m going to forward this video to my family. I would totally take the drive down-turkey in tow-to OC for this!
Wow $60 is steep unless they provide the turkey I guess. Either case, hope you can give it a try!
What does the sauce taste like? Is Peking the one eaten with hoisin and a rice bun and green onion?
Ok carving skills. That's such a good idea for a restaurant for business and their customers for convenience!
We should be sponsored at the number of orders placed/questions we've fielded lol
Orange County? We're practically neighbors!😲😲😲
Simple yet outstanding. Now I want Turkey, might have to pick up dinner at Lubys, with all the sides.😋
Never heard of Lubys, do they specialize in Thanksgiving food?
@@ItsJamesandMark Lubys is a Texas cafeteria that make homemade food.
Texans usually go on Sunday but it’s opened 7 days a week.
Mark is so artistic all about presentation
My sister and family are coming in from Texas for a week, big plans for everyday of the week, all food related, we love cooking and eating!! That looked absolutely amazing, wished there was somewhere around here that did that!!
amazing, can't wait to hear all about it, hope you enjoyed!
Michael, his dad, and I will be in Florida for Thanksgiving. We will be having dinner with neighbours who live across from us and who look after our condo when we’re back home.
How fun, hope yall enjoy!!
@@ItsJamesandMark Thank you!

@@ItsJamesandMark thank you both and I hope the same for you both as well 🙏🙂
That looks so good! What a neat idea.
Great option for those of us living in this area!
I loved this💜💜 Mark you feeding James…made my day, happy early Thanksgiving 🦃🦃
Happy early Thanksgiving Elaine!!
i remember when there were over production of turkeys you could get a 20lb turkey for 5 dollars at safeway
Yes Mark roast those peasants 🤣 This is cool, I have turkey envy.
Not the peasants!!
Your dinner looks so good. 😋😋😋
It was divine!
My family always make a combination of American and Asian food for Thanksgiving and Christmas
We tried that one year but then we just have done American after that lol
@@ItsJamesandMark lmao
🤌🤌🤌 That's the smiliest Lien Hao employee I've ever seen!
He was very good about us filming, waited to the side until Mark was ready to film him! Thanks for telling us about this, we've been answering questions all day about this!
Whaaaat that’s awesome! I hope I can find a place up here that does the same
Oooh I'm invested, good luck with your search!
Looks Good!
Thank you!
god i sooooooo love turkey and you guys slurp
we had New York Steaks from Costco last night so we had green beans with almonds as a side also canned corn the bf likes canned corn
love steaks from Costco!
That crunch! Now I definitely want in. Not sure if I’m too late to find a place nearby 🤔 Google and Yelp, here i come!!
[Plans: probably Chinese food]
Excellent- Chinese food is a great meal!
@@ItsJamesandMark “our” place makes every order fresh, it’s not one of those pick from what’s been sitting round places; it hits different fresh from the wok. ❤️
No turkey stuffings ?
Not with this though I've heard people make a sticky rice stuffing with this at times
We may go pick up a turkey at a chinese butcher shop
Oooh nice!!
James, I’ve never had Peking Duck that was red. 🤔
Am I not thinking of the right thing? Lol
I’ve had it. Very common in the states. Some places use food coloring to make it look more appealing. Lol
10:32 honey .. If you think turkey could ever be a dry bird.. you ain’t never had a good bird. CHECK ME. I bet 5 mill$
I remember enjoying a deep fried turkey but couldn't tell if the juice was juice or oil :P And what kind of money you think we make betting 5 mil??? SHoooooT
a few times i have had juicy breast meat but mostly white meat is dry
Wow, that’s such a good idea and worth the hassle. Again, AZ suck😂.
This might be a silly question... but can you move? LOL
@@ItsJamesandMark my daughter is hoping to go to UCLA or Irving and plan to live in CA permanently after college. Also, I have families in Redondo Beach, so the long answer is yes I can when I retire in 7 years or visit CA more than twice a year.😀
