I go Goodwill as a sports on my free time but now I don’t cause my location they raise the price to high especially when my daughter love going with me .We call it treasure hunting.Last time I got a stuff animal for $8.00 I could just go to Walmart but she wanted so I just got it for her.
Love these videos! It's insane to me the great prices you pay in Texas. Our Goodwill stores in Central Florida are seriously overprices for crappy pieces and NO TRY ON ROOMS! You could spend $24.99 for s Shein Bag and $11.99 for a basic cami... makes no sense, so I might need to try thrifting outside this state
Midday is typically the most crowded but that is also when they rotate the quickest. I prefer less people so I try to go in the morning / evenings. These factors may vary place to place so see what works best for you!
In my area, Goodwill raised their prices in the stores and are about to raise their per pound price at the bins. I'm bummed. I'm also addicted to thrifting and sell on eBay. Thankfully, the thrifting gods are good to me.
:(! I would definitely reach out to the Goodwill corporate for your area like our Goodwills all fall under Goodwill Houston. They should have a general outreach number or email. I think goodwill Houston does a really great job of balancing good deals with supporting a good cause. They do mark up some items but I feel it’s very competitive pricing. It’s win win. Our outlet pricing is one of the highest, similar to California outlet pricing. We pay 2.49 a pound. I still score amazing deals but I know I have seen other outlets pricing around $1-1.5. @@CuratedbyNatalie I def agree. I know Goodwill performs a valuable service. My area isn't as affluent as Houston, so although I still find great stuff, it's not on the same caliber as what you find. I noticed in the stores that skirts went up from $4.99 to $6.99. That's a pretty big jump. The bins are going from $1.89/pound to $2.09. It's still a great price compared to the stores, so I'll likely go to the stores less often. There is only one clearance center in my area, and it's jam packed whenever I stop by. I know I'm addicted to thifting, because I thrift at least twice a week and then watch thrifting videos! I should sign up for thrifters anonymous.
ooo good tip! I don't think it would've worked on the Sam Edelman boots because to my knowledge sam Edelman boots don't have insoles at least the ones I currently have BUT surely will come in handy in future thrift trips :)

I’m assuming you are in Houston! I think I have been to every goodwill between downtown and the loop (sam Houston tollway one). I would go back all of them. There are multiple on westheimer, river oaks, the heights, and memorial. The newest select store is: 10770 Westheimer Rd Houston, TX 77042 United States I also love the outlets. I think it’s worth a try. A lot of my friends prefer thrifting at the select stores but I love the dig.

In this video I went to Longpoint! I have the locations in the description. I would say almost all the bins locations are quite comparable. I’ve found amazing things at all the locations I’ve been to but I’ve also had days where I haven’t found as much too. I usually base my thrift trips on other errands I am running.
