I remember having that comic as a kid. He started to pull the Odin Sword out. That was a heavy fight in Asgard and a terrific comic.

I love titanic monsters like mangog and fin fang foom. They're from that primal mystery science fiction early era of marvel before they're universe came together and superheroes became the main focus. They seem so out of place in design which makes them feel so powerful and unbeatable for the heroes.

Ra's Al Ghul would be a very dangerous threat to Batman until Batman figured out how each of the rings worked and countered each one. That would be awesome to see.

I personally don't think that the red lantern ring would make mangog any more dangerous and would probably just be redundant. ... Mangog is powered by the rage of billions and billions and billions of souls across the universe, so I don't think adding a red power ring to his arsenal would change anything. maybe give him one of the other rings on the Spectrum...i Can see the argument suggesting that a red lantern ring could make him an even bigger threat, however I think he would become a lot more versatile with one of the other rings... I will definitely look back into some mangog history... Very good comment, you got me thinking,

@@keithdrummond1003 yeah the G. E. B is generally in the top three powerful entities in DC comics. He's only had but a couple showings over the years. Basically at the beginning of all creation when the Presence shouted 'let there be light", the great evil Beast began to embody all of creations darkness and fully opposed the light of the presence. You can essentially call him the Presences Dark side. A basically omnipotent force of nature, yet was bested and by the presence when it invaded heaven as it was still a newborn entity.
His main showing was later on during a swamp thing run. Where it took the forces of the Spectre, Lucifer Morningstar, Beelzebub, Azrael, John Constantine Doctor Fate, and others to try and talk sense into it as there was no physically defeating it. But I won't spoil it and let you read it yourself if you're interested.

A few years ago I started noticing the great evil beast in a lot of the top 10 most powerful DC characters, and oftentimes people placed him number 2 or 3.... so I did a little checking, and I basically just paraphrased pretty much all there is to know about him in one paragraph. TBH he shouldn't even be mentioned when they're listing top 10 most powerful in DC. Even though his showings are next to nothing, he's been around more than the likes of Ultimator..... who you probably never heard of (maybe you did). A High complex multiversal entity from the 10th dimension (or is the embodiment of the entire 10th dimension) who has easily destroyed 5th dimensional beings and his basic MO is absorbing entire spatial dimensions under his or something like that .... But she only appeared in one comic. Not an entire run but just one comic. Thankfully most top 10 don't even consider including her. I do voice text so sorry about the long reply.

@@thecouncil1015 I get that. But to be honest. It just doesnt make sense to make characters that op. Thor, superman, and hulk are able to break universes with ease. And then when they fight on earth going all out. Earth seems to be fine. I rather movie characters just be planetary like superman and thor already are.
If he feeds on rage, then he would never lose fighting the Hulk. As they fight, Hulk would get madder, making Mangog stronger.

Well Rob mentioned that Mangog represents the sum total rage of a race wiped out and as long as anger continues to exist then so will Mangog.
Going by that statement Mangog doesn't necessarily get stronger, rage probably acts more like his lifeblood (probably not the best example but it's what I could think of on the spot lol). Meaning Hulk should be able to at least beat him into a coma. And if not you get heart of the monster Hulk, tear open a different dimension (as Rob states he could do) and punch Mangog into it lol. Maybe not the best way to end a fight but if the story calls for it with current MCU set up then it's a way.

@@kappadarwin9476 Yeah that's an impressive feat but the problem with that is it was alternate versions and alternate versions can be less power than the main version, And I think they were less powerful because King Hyperion also had trouble with a weakened juggernaut

@jordan-this is a terrible concept. Hulk is not on Mangog's level written properly. The MCU power levels for certain characters are rubbish. No need to misrepresent and tarnish another charater's reputation.

I can see them handle it in a way where the first couple fights Mangog dominates for the most part, with them learning about Mangog throughout the movie and then the final fight ending with Thor showing Mangog that the Asgard it knew and hated no longer exists

The funny thing is that we were close to seeing a significant smaller variation of mangog in thor dark world. There was unreleased concept art of characters like mangog as a warrior and even Caiera (hulk’s wife from planet hulk)
I think Mangog could take World Breaker Hulk. Mangog feeds off of hatred, anger, and rage, he tanked an energy beam powerful enough to tear apart the core of a star and devoured the Destroyer armor without any difficulty.
Odin is certainly not afraid of an inferior foe, after all Odin did turn Mangog into a star with just a wave of his hand, and Thor beat him offtenly. He is just Odin's shame coming back to haunt him.
He's not an inferior foe he's beaten Odin a number of times as well, And Thor defeated Mangog because he used his weakness against him(the inside of his body) When Mangog came back that weakness was no longer present

Odin is too much for him to the point he can beat him with just a wave of his hand. Rob is correct that he's on par with World War Hulk and Thanos, cause he has been put with them alongside Thor etc.(Im pretty sure you know which characters Im talking about). And Thor is inferior to Odin.
